  1. The good thing about the 6.5 is that Wolf produces some fairly cheap plinking stuff and the round has great downrange/long range performance. The 6.8 is probably going to be more mainstream in the future and just about every maker is making 6.8. It is great for what it is designed for which is an upgrade to the 5.56. The 6.8 is a 300 yrd and in round and does very well with that. Trajectory is near the same as the .308 at similar distances (under 350 yrds), so ballistics are easier to figure. the way I see them the 6.5 is a boutique round that does what it was designed for and the 6.8 is a fighting round that does what it was designed for. I really like the 6.8 for everything other than long range stuff. The 6.8 is gets about all it's going to get out of a 16" so barrel is kinda irrelevant. The 6.5 is more traditional in that barrel length will change velocities. As far as the 5.56 .......just not for me.
  2. Hey Hatmaker, did you trade in your FNP9 on this? If so,they pulled it out of the back for me tonight so I could fondle it. I will definitely be picking up one of the USG versions in the near future! Sorry for the hijack.
  3. That's why you'd be the first dead leaving us "cowards" to fight the long fight. As the proverb says, "be wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove". While I like the attitude, sometimes being out front isn't the best place to lead a movement.
  4. Shh! Hatmaker will be along shortly with a recently divorced thread!
  5. IT's sad we have come to a point were this is less hypothetical and more practical. Personally I would probably B until I could find some organization to C.
  6. Hey guys. I may be moving to back to Arkansas and am looking for some good to the point info on AR carry/gun laws. I do have my TN HCP and know that it's honored, but just curious as to what laws may be different. So far I know this: - no church carry - no government buildings (State or Federal) - no sporting events - no schools etc. BTW - AR is for Arkansas not Armalite Rifle!
  7. PLEASE get Shark Tac! I need a holster for my P07! It would seem a perfect opportunity for them.
  8. Kobra Kai do or die!
  9. Saw that the other day. I've seen playing hard, but DANG!
  10. No. the screw "build kit" is for a true from scratch build. Mainly for attaching the trunions. The DIY trigger guard has the needed hardware. On the internal stock adapter, that is for attaching Tromix or ACE stocks. Most other stocks just slide in and use the existing tang for attachment.
  11. I like my CZ P07.

All I will say is if I look like him at 69, I will be well pleased.

    some eye candy

Tell me about the GP6! I've read about them but no one seems to have any first hand experience with them.
  14. Yes. Well at least the serialized part of the frame/gun.
  15. Just fine thank you. BTW sometimes I even go over the speed limit.
  16. Yep that is it. The knock on democracy/republics has always been that the people will eventually vote themselves into bankruptcy by violating Constitutional principle in favor of personal interest. We need to be more concerned about preserving Constitutional principle than how we can play the margins for personal gain. Or you can put it in these terms, the letter of the law is less important than the principle of the law. This is how legalism hurts America. Our strength has become our weakness.

Rem 870 Mossy 590 or Saiga 12 with all the fixins! It's a emi, but you get the AK rack sound that is near s good as the pump sound!
  18. It does indeed work, but we have made it much more complicated than it needs or should be.
  19. While I agree with you, I think the thought process is endemic of where we are (not personally directed at you Mut;) in allowing bad Constitutional theory as a rule. The Supreme Court, Constitutionally speaking, isn't the ultimate rule of law. It is simply one check that has become the last rule. Very sad time we are in. Practically speaking you are correct, however.
  20. I'm sure natural "gas" leaked due to the fact he was connected to many parts of the buidling after that!
  21. That would be considered necessary. Correct? I rarely ship a "firearm".
  22. I've had those on all my AR's and AK's and they work. They are good flash suppressors and I could tell quite a bit of difference in recoil on the AK's. The PWS do have some impressive videos of the FH capabilities of their piece. Near zero flash. Very cool.
  23. IT has been my experience on several occasions that you are correct. They do not know their policy and the mangers won't make any decision contradictory to the counter regarding guns. Right or wrong I have since stopped telling them anything unnecessary.
  24. Good point. The question becomes what to do when we have Acts that are not constitutional or built around faulty Constitutional theory. Correct answer is repeal them, but what to do when they have become ingrained in the culture?
  25. That's the first I've heard of them being used on a M&P factory gun.
