  1. I agree the wife. Mine watches something and al the sudden she has a new fear. Fortunately she is cool with the guns, but don't get me started on helmets and car seats! Drives me crazy. Generations of people never wore helmets when riding bikes and sat/laid all sorts of ways on family trips and we seemed to have come along just fine. Not to say safety isn't important, but come on!
  2. Glad it's going to work out. Do we need to pre-register or just show up?
  3. Myself and possible a friend would be interested.
  4. Question is, what officer up the line pushed this through. You can't tell me that SO leadership is this soft to take their guys down over a punch in the face. Somebody made this an agenda. No this isn't a conspiracy theory, just wondering who the sell out is.
  5. No words can describe my disgust. Give them the medal they deserve and a parade.
  6. Now here's an interesting comment:
  7. They are a cheap version of the Uzi in a lot of ways. They churned them out (full auto's that is) before the full auto ban in '86 and then continued to make semi versions. There are a lot of after market do dads for them, mostly for the auto versions, so you need to be careful not to get into trouble with the ATF. I've never heard anything bad about them other than they are pretty spartan. Magicarpetrides has a auto one. Might check with him.
  8. A sheriff called Bunny. Now that's one tough cop name! Welcome BTW!
  9. Well looked under there and all four boots look to be in good shape and "dry". No grease to speak of. While driving there isn't any "drag", acceleration, or steering issues. The only thing is this stupid buzzing sound that comes on at about 25-30 MPH and increase with speed. Weird.
  10. Anyone know anything about U-Joints or CV joint on a 2004 Pontiac Montana minivan. Thing drives fine but hums like my old bike with a baseball card in the spokes! Is it easy to fix or something that is gonna cost me dearly?
  11. Excellent guns.
  12. Two steps forward one step back. Had a "clean bill" been passed it would have been challenged as well. Then what? It leaves no answer to an argument. Sometimes you have to work through their stupidity with them. This is how difficult things get passed. Relax.
  13. They can put injunctions on laws till the matter is resolved in the legislature or higher court I do believe.

    Glocks

I would say that the most popular one is the 19 followed by the 26/27, but I would be interested to know the numbers myself.

    Funny Commercial

These are the same guys who made the Red House "Racial Harmony" commercials. and how bout this one.
  16. I like the second Glock idea. Holsters and mags will be interchangeable.
  17. It should be fine.

    First Shotgun

I've seen barrels from $150 - $185 and you may be able to find someone who has one laying around that will give you a deal.
  19. That's what some of the Tacticool guys will tell you, but the truth is AR's are picky eaters that tend to need a lot of attention. This is just one of those things. A stronger extractor spring will take care of it. Then you can shoot the cheap stuff.
  20. With the steel case stuff you have to use the stronger extractor springs. Wolf and the steel case stuff will stick with the regular extractor springs. After you switch the springs out they should work just fine.
  21. Yep! Watching them both. Just finished watching the one on Battle of Monte Cassino. My problem with The Prisoner is that they are running two episodes a night over 3 nights and they happen to be nights where I'm working through parts of the show. I hope they run them all again or put them on Hulu so I can watch them in continuity.
  22. Usually the case with unarmed positions.
  23. What is required by my location is to stay updated on CPR/First Aid and then we do scenario training in Bomb Threats, Evac, Terrorism, Robbery, etc. Most of it is watching a video or something similar and then taking a test. I get the idea they want something on file saying we've been trained. Personally, if this was a career thing I would get baton & chemical certified and take weapons training for sure. While technically I'm unarmed, the guys I work with and under are all ex LEO and or Corrections officers with a lot of experience. We all carry something. You'd have to be a fool to work downtown, overnight, alone with only a flashflight and a Nextel.
  24. and that comment will definitely make things better for you with the wife! BTW - I'm calling dibs on administering your estate.
  25. What makes you say that? The 6.8 is being used in the military and and every maker makes an upper for it. The only downside is available ammo, but that is coming on as well. The 6.5 is still very limited by makers, mags, etc. and the only advantage is Wolf making ammo for it. If it weren't for Wolf Alexander Arms would be about the only place to get ammo for it. Just curious as to why you think it will catch up and overtake the 6.8.
