    TICS Denied

Typically, the inital TICS check flags anything that might be suspect, like two names, one with a felony and issue a denial. Usually, in these cases, the appeal will actual verify you using the social, address, etc and get overturned. If you consistently get denied you will have to submit your fingerprints to keep on file and they will them give you a number that you will enter on all future TICS forms to clear the issue. It's debated, but I've have seen denials based on DUI's. It's murky but does happen, although it's inconsistent. Best thing, is to see how the appeal goes and then you'll have a better idea.
  2. The standard for this and virtually all current shooting principles is rooted in the Sykes/Fairbain study/book "Shooting to Live with One Hand Gun". Their study still holds water even if semi auto techniques have changed some of the application. Second I would use the FBI study of the 1986 Miami-Dade shooting. Plenty of info there. Here is a current assessment and some facts pulled to explain the move back to the 9mm. https://sofrep.com/gear/the-reasons-why-fbi-went-to-back-to-9mm/ Yet another http://gundata.org/images/fbi-handgun-ballistics.pdf None of them will give a simple outright answer, but it's all there if you look j through it.
  3. You're right except for the fact they did rewrite the Civil rights Act in blatant unconstitutional form ... unless that is the kind of action you referred to in paragraph 3.
  4. Everything about Roberts is now clear after the SC rewrote the Civil Rights Act without legislation, over-site, or legality. Same as they did with Obama-Care. The Executive (ironically not somuch Trump) and Judicial branches are moving without checks. It may be better that they ignored the 2a cases at the moment. Even Gorsuch's own words contradicted and confused themselves in an attempt to make an illegal ruling seem appropriate. Yes, ignoring the 2a cases is probable a good thing at the moment.
  5. Pricing an AK is easy. Gun-broker/Armslist or check the classifieds on the AK Forum or the AK Files, but you'll need to check the sold ads. Yes, people ask a lot more for things they think they can, Childer's receivers included. What they sell for is a different matter. Don't mean much on a personal build. As to your response to Magiccarpetrides, a new dude with 15post would be better off to receive info or PM a trusted source than posting an obvious forum tactic of newbies to sell stuff without a proper add. Magic has been around awhile and knows pricing and sales far better than you could imagine. As well as how to be part of a forum community.
  6. Prosecute the thief's. We have a real problem in my area and it's generally the same small group that are arrested and turned back out in the judicial process. There are three teens that have stolen and wrecked over 5 vehicles in this small area in the last 6-7 months and have never seen jail time. Not to mention the dozens of property thefts from cars. Confirmed from the officers patrolling. They're known, roam openly and freely, on numerous security cams, and nothing. This is the real problem.
  7. I personally use TruGlo TFO/TFX on all my pistols. Night sights are great especially in the green/yellow combo and the FO works especially well in day light or low light (indoor). I'm also intrigued with the Ameriglo Combative Application sights for quick combat type shooting.
  8. If you go the pistol caliber route I'd highly recommend the Stern Defense adapter. I've had the 9mm for awhile now and it is awesome.
  9. I've had and worked on them all. I currently have, among many others, a Riley and a PSA (forged version). I mainly got them just to see how they stacked up. They are very much quality AK's. The irony on American made is that US makers tend to make parts TOO precise. When you tighten up an AK you loose the beauty of AK reliableness and start having problems. It's one of the reasons the Kalashnikov got away from milled receivers almost instantly and went back to folded. It's just recent that US makers have started figuring this out and loosening the tolerances. A great AK has loose tolerances, forged gas/FS/Trunions/BC/barrel, straight mounting of parts, folded receiver, and a good paint job. Quality AK! BTW - most any thing that isn't straight .... just get a dead blow hammer.
  10. Some of my current guitars. The Tele and Strat are parts casters I put together with my specs. Mainly '59 type necks Changed everything on this one as well. Mad Hatter Terminator wiring (coil split), SD PG bridge/JB Neck, Gotoh Locking tuners, Tusq Nut Only one that stayed factory, well ... locking tuners.
  11. Ah, "mental illness" the new catch all so that everyone can be a victim of a disease. Problem is that "mental illness" in clinical standards is very finely defined. Once they start changing the definition there are no boundaries. Once you label it; you can tax it, medicate it, arrest it, jail it, and most importantly control it with the government.
  12. Yeah, I sent an email as well as called and canceled my Simplisafe services. I'm not a big boycotter but this is getting stupid. The quicker they feel the impact, the quicker this stupid, knee jerk, reactionary, idiocy, will cease. I don't care what they believe, but using their company to punish me for what I believe is just bad business.
  13. Bellshire had Anderson's for a decent price as of today. Don't remember the price but I remember thinking it was about what they should cost after shipping and transfer
  14. This is in fact true. The billet trunions are marked with a star stamp on the left side. I picked up a "blem" today for $499 shipped. Hard to beat at that price. Good thing is that if something goes wrong PSA has a lifetime warranty on their guns.
  15. I've got four on the shelf right now. I can't see them getting any cheaper and they can only go up.
  16. Ruger LCR it's what your are looking for by your requirements. Caliber is up to you.
  17. Apex https://www.apexgunparts.com/catalogsearch/result/?cat=0&q=Romanian+wood RTG https://www.robertrtg.com/store/pc/home.asp
  18. Saw elsewhere that it's was confirmed to be the trigger.
  19. I've had good luck worth some of these https://outdoorsportsusa.com/AR-15-Parts/AR-15-Charging-Handles
  20. Not trying to be funny, but this ... AK mags are about as easy to load as it gets.
  21. Simple, you can't buy cheap online (guns at least) without a brick and mortar. You won't miss them till they are all gone. The ones left standing will then be able to charge what ever they want because there will be no one else. Cause and effect is not linear, it's dynamic. When I started working at a gun store I was of the same mind as many here that transfers were an insignificant transaction that stores should be pleased to participate in simply for customer goodwill. After 4 years, I felt much different and can understand if no stores did transfers.
  22. It's not the easy trasnactions that are that difficult. It's when you have denials, appeals, conditional approvals; then your dealing with customers who are angry with you becasue of something you can't control. having guns arranged to be returned and transfered yet again. Then they call and angrily visit you to solve an issue you can't do anything about. You also have the hassle of dealing with out of state sellers who don't send guns the correct way, serial number matching issues, storage, liability, transfer issues, etc. I know when I worked in a store we spent quite a bit of time on the phone and e-mail middle manning transfers that were not smooth. All that to say the investment alone in brick and mortar to store and transfer the gun you bought dirt cheap isn't $35 dollar cheap. Just remember the money you save buying online is paid by the brick and mortar's investment. I still look for the cheapest deal I can get, but I'm also going to be reasonble with my expectations of the LGS.
  23. I liked it. Yeah, there are a lot of recycled plot lines from earlier movies, but at the same time it did stay consistent with the whole balance concept. So it would necessitate recycling. I think the Disney thought is to restart for the younger generation. My kids (all under 14 yrs) really liked it. Most of the other (older) movies confused them. They were constantly asking who people were and how things were connected. They just didn't have enough context. This movie let them start fresh while keeping a connection to the past movies.
  24. I'm kind of impressed by the fact that the table/dressor/mag mount has a matching crocheted cover. Somebody went all out to mix some weird stuff together!
  25. Try Robert Forbus he's in Greenbrier. Awesome guy, awesome tools, awesome knowledge. https://robertforbus.com/Kalashnikova_Tools.htm
