  1. I think you missed the point and my sarcasm. THEY are the ones who decry Fox as being non journalistic because of bias while touting their own sacredness as unbiased journalist ala Dan Rather, Walter Cronkite, ............ I agree everyone has a bias. The idea that they are pure while everyone else is tainted hypocrites is humorous and ironic to me. We need to go back to the days where a paper named the "Democrat ..." or the "Republic ...." actually told you the truth.
  2. Really the only "progressive" voice in mainstream media? CNN, MSNBC........ I thought media/journalism was supposed to be independent and unbiased. Not agenda and philosophy driven? All in all I find it humorous that they don't get it and in the end capitalism put them in their place. No wonder they hate capitalism. Socialism is for those who can't and are jealous of those who can.
  3. The only real detractors will say is cost, which has been fixed thank to SSA new plinking ammo, and range. The 300 yrd range is about the only thing people can knock the 6.8 for. However, if you are target shooting over 300 yrds you've just defeated the purpose of the 6.8 and entered into the realm of wildcats and specialty stuff. The 6.8 is designed for combat out of short barrels and to max out the balance of effectiveness, capacity, weight, and accuracy.
  4. I think it is appropriate given you screen name.
  5. ???? only 156 compared to the 516 reported in TN by the OP. Just trying to clarify. BTW one is too many.
  6. That is probably all time. In 2006 there were only 156 nationally on duty deaths.
  7. Here is from another post I did that shows it nationally based on the last census 2006.
  8. 60% in. Brown 52% - 47% Boston Herald.
  9. You don't have to have a guard liscnese but you will still have to have a HCP to carry a handgun. This allows you to carry where alcohol is served if OK'd by the owner and under his employment. My brother owns a restraunt and we have had this clarified by LE. Maybe not the best source, but they would do the initial arresting.
  10. It doesn't matter the caliber just the configuration. With a HCP permit you can carry it in the vehicle un-chambered like any rifle. Otherwise it is just like the old law. Unloaded and not easily accessible, ie mag in glove box, carbine in the trunk.
  11. The restaurants and shops are all separate identities and are sectioned off making their own "space". I carry in there often, but I don't go to the restaurants. It is no different than a mall where the whole mall can post or each store can post.
  12. My experience with CZ is you have to specifically ask them for a return label. Otherwise you assume the cost. BTW the guys who answer the phones are NOT smiths and sometimes over step their authority and knowledge trying to be helpful. However, I always got to talk to someone who was at least trying to be helpful and they are fast. Two thumbs up!
  13. Um, she is responsible for maintaining the structure and regular maintenance unless you agreed otherwise. Let her take it to court and then counter. It would be an easy victory especially if there are unfixed leaks. Of course this assume you didn't do any intentional damage.
  14. Looks interesting. I like the Otterbox ones better though We've Got Technology Covered // OtterBox.com
  15. ASP in Joelton used to allow shotguns - no slugs or buck shot. I was told recently they don't allow them anymore but they haven't stopped me yet! Good guys to deal with too.
  16. Might try the CD forum. The owner of CD post there regularly and can probably help you out. They are pretty good about customer service.
  17. Interesting. When does the request become enforcible?
  18. Hey HexHead, multi-quote is your friend! I say bring it on and let the masses know the support we have. Plus it will drive the Tennessean crazy having to talk about the wild west shoot outs that are sure to come!
  19. Yeah, it's old but it's one of the better videos. The whistle cracks me up!
  20. Depends. When AK's were jumping in price you could get a standard Saiga for $330 and convert it for $120ish or less giving you a true Russian AK (best receiver, barrel, parts, etc) for under $550 compared to inferior WASR's going for roughly the same. These are new and not used kits and they are Russian. It is by far the cheapest way to get a top of the line AK for less. If you don't care about a "nice" AK and just want an AK the WASR's and similar for under $450 are hard to beat. Thing about AK's though, is they all work and if anything isn't straight a good blow with the hammer will fix most anything.
  21. The only thing you really need a smith for is the front end work, unless you have a lot of tools and a steady hand. The rest is pretty easy. You don't have to do the front end but it looks better IMO. As far s smith's, there is a guy over towards Knoxville that advertises on the AK forum that is supposed to be pretty good. Red Jacket has done the last two of mine Welcome to Red Stick Firearms, Home of Red Jacket Firearms. Tromix, but he isn't taking work for a year TROMIX Lead Delivery Systems. Rifle Dynamics does good work RIFLE DYNAMICS - Tools and Training for the Professional Warrior. and there are a few others. Turn around time is an iffy thing ATM.
  22. I think there have been less than 15 reported issues on the CZ forum. Most pertaining to mag drop issues. They are replacing the frames on those models. The few issues some people have had are less than 1% of CZ forum membership. So if you add all the P07's sold, it is a slim fraction of P07's that have had minor issues. Much fewer than the M&P, XD, Glock, SR9 and others on first release. In fact I did a poll to prove this on the CZ forum. They are solid reliable guns.
