  1. If emoticons/smilies can bring us down, we have bigger problems.
  2. You really need to get a grasp on reality. The government did not "create" corporations. They are businesses. Now the government did create tax laws to manipulate business, ala corporate tax code. That is why career politicians are so dangerous. Over time they eventually figure out how to manipulate private business for their own business. I'm always amused at people calling business/corporations evil and inhuman, all the while claiming we need more business/corporations to employ people and make our "human" economy run. How exactly does that work? :rolleyes:Corporations are people tied to other people through specific business and interest. The only difference between them and the NRA, a Church, or a local Vet group is they produce tangible marketable products. I still believe those invested in the country should be the ones with a voice and buisness is one of those voices. Think about what would happen if buisness were completley nullified politically and all that was left was the "workers". How many government programs would we have then...... Wait that has already been tried, it's called Russia, Cuba, Venezuala, China,......COMMUNISM! You can't reduce one area and not reduce the other. Limiting buisness influence without limiting welfare influence would be catastrophic.... ala Obama (Just a glimpse).
  3. Is there a way to use BUIS on these?
  4. Yeah, but I though it was pretty cool.

    Do You Buy Into This?

I've sold several with low round counts where I know precisely how many went down the pipe. This is simply because I would find a good deal or find something I liked, but after shooting a few boxes of ammo discovered something I didn't like or it didn't fit as well as I thought or many other issues. I would sell it to get something else. I've never had big losses, but I also buy when prices are right or a good deal comes along. I did a cost analysis once and found that I pretty much broke even. It's a hobby to me and I enjoy trying different things. I generally believe most folks.
  6. I like the Uzitalk.com ones the best.
  7. It is was in correlation to a sexual harassment case (Paula Jones) that correlated in all the other issues coming out. It was during that case that the perjury, witness tampering, and obstruction issues came about. They did a good job making it seem like that's all it was about, but it was not.
  8. This is one of the funniest and most disturbing post I've read in a while.
  9. Didn't know that. Guess I never searched that far back!
  10. Look at your profile page and go to the statistics tab. There you can choose all the threads you've started or all the post you've made individually.
  11. We know. The same place Al Gore and Clinton got theirs...... China.
  12. Yeah I went from 209 in shape pounds ready for the police academy to 235 after my motorcycle wreck a year ago! This will help me. Mine is mostly mental and carbs. Working nights has been tough on eating consistently and correctly. I find myself eating heavy for convenience and the quick energy bump. Anyone work a night schedule have any suggestions?
  13. The only person that will know is you. Don't sweat it. BTW the only thing I would use from Tapco is their trigger kit and their retainer plate. Stay away from furniture, mags, and other parts. The piston is a non issue. They have been running for years in harsher environments than you could ever bee in here.
  14. I was pretty neutral, but I think the Vikings would have given the Colts a better run for their money. If NO plays the way they did Sunday, the Colts will roll all over them. Two of the Vikings turnovers led directly to points. The Harvey fumble gave NO the tying touchdown and the other fumble kept Minn from scoring earlier. I like the Saints but the Viking gave them that one. They (NO) couldn't move the ball, other than two big plays, and they let the the Vikings have their way on offense and defense. The only thing that stooped the Vikings was their jello hands. The Super Bowl could indeed be anti-climatic.
  15. Even if the guy had permission unless it is worded in your purchase it does not transfer. If he had a "contract" then he needs to take it up with the previous owner. I personally wouldn't want people hunting on my land without telling me when they were coming first. I wouldn't want to get shot by someone I didn't know was in a tree. Be careful.
  16. You'll hear a lot of legal beagles talk and warn about 922r, but it is a non issue. There has never been anyone charged with 922r, because there is no way to enforce or know the country of origin of parts. The BATF even admits that 922r is unenforcible. It is mainly to add enforcement on importation issues rather than individual compliance. That being said, it is fairly easy to be 922r compliant and generally helps functionality to have the better US parts.
  17. My above statement is from magpul. They have tried and can't make it work..... yet.
  18. I'm fickle and get the urge for something new. Mostly I just prefer fullsize guns for carry. I got both of the ones I had at various times when I thought about carrying a BUG. I just figured one full size is better than two small cap guns. They are great for what they are. It's just not my cup of tea.
  19. If you want something really private, classy, and not your average chain food joint try my brothers restaurant downtown. They've won numerous awards and prices aren't too bad. You will have to make reservations though. The Standard at the Smith House
  20. Yes. The manual and KT wil tell you that it will handle a moderate amount of +p. In other words enough range +p to know they work but not an every range visit load. I've had two and liked both of them. They are defnitley not range guns. It is comfortable enough for a few mags, but your wrist and hands will know you shot it. The trigger pull is long and the reset is long but it works, is a great concealment size, has good capacity for it's size, and customer service is next to none. I like them and recommend them.
  21. MAybe I'm naive, but more than one person has done that? Made duplicate accounts just to converse with themselves?
  22. You keep saying we have over simplified free economy with supply and demand and then say it is a simple as price fixing by the producers. You can't argue both sides. IT is as simple as supply and demand and taxes create an artificial demand that affects price. What happens is that when the marketable margin + tax reaches a point where it is not worth the effort to produce said widgets they quite making them. It is still supply and demand with a government controlled third factor. That is the problem with corporate tax. The government is getting it on both ends. They tax the consumer directly (sales), then add on the corporate taxes (built into the product), and then artificially drive up all three prices by a false demand factor. That's why the American people pay half or more of their income to in "taxes" and never bat an eye. Very clever on the part of the government. However this has little to do with the OP. BTW if anyone has an IRA or invest in the market at all - YOU are the corporations. Don't like your companies political stance? Sell them off and fight them that way.
  23. well your not going to find it on Snope's because it is and editorial style opinion piece not a journalistic fact story. Needless to say, it is right on.

    Microtech STG?

Here's another thought I had. If I can get the STG (non E4) for 982 delivered, I can always get an E4 stock for under $300 (according to MT) when they are available and If I think it is of benefit down the road. That way I still come in under $1300.
