  1. Gotcha. I was reading it that he couldn't carry in his vehicle unless it was a TN permit.
  2. I though the reciprocity agreement was that you can carry anywhere and in any manner laid out by the TN permit. Where is that stated?
  3. I think it depends on you house and its layout. My house is small, so if someone breaks in they are on top of us pretty quickly. I can clear my house standing in the middle... literally. In other larger houses I've prepared my wife and kids to hunch together with the shotgun in fortress mode while I cleared inside and out. They one time I had to do it, they didn't make it inside. Just make sure you announce yourself when you return to your family!!
  4. I sold one to Jhatmaker, so you could ask him. The only drawback to them is that they use a 1/2x36 (9mm) barrel threading instead of the standard 5/8x24. Makes it hard to find FH. PWS makes an adapter you can use. 5/8x24 to 1/2x36 Adapter - Other Accessories - PWS. Other than that they get very good reviews. The newest versions are also using the more desirable 1:11 twist.
  5. I'll post my some of my PM here as well: Maybe just take some time and let the emotions wear off. These folks are stood up to. A lot of that stuff comes from the same people and most of the guys who have been a here awhile just ignore then like they ignore that crazy uncle at the reunion. Arguing doesn't go anywhere and it just ends up ruining your day. My dad once told me that you can run around trying to put out every little fire, but you'll just end up tired, burned, and eventually suffocate on the smoke. Sometimes a controlled burn is a much better tactic. Just let it burn itself out. I have to take time off of here every so often when I feel myself getting too involved just to get some perspective. Hang in there. It's not a marriage or even a cheap date. It's just a place to occupy some time and enjoy what you can.
  6. Do what I'm doing and get an MSAR with a 20" barrel. Smaller than a carbine with the barrel of a rifle. Problem solved. Just don't get it till next month so there will be one left for me!
  7. Just a thought. Would you suggest the same response in your house? What if someone was sleeping in your detached garage or storage building and taking tools every so often? I don't see it much different. BTW - I'm talking about coming in on somebody unknowingly. Not a situation where you already know they are there per-say.
  8. 1st get LE out there if you can. 2nd if you get surprised out there. Guy has flaunted warning, trespassed after written warning, validated he was notified by tearing up said warning, and continued criminal trespassing. I would assume he is armed with criminal intent (trespassing, poaching). If I saw them i would be drawn low ready until i could verify they were unarmed and off the property. I would escort them from a safe distance behind them to the waiting police. That's just me.
  9. Be careful. People like that should be considered dangerous. I would treat them the same way as if I found them wandering around inside my house. Be careful.
  10. Just saw the latest "Guns and Ammo" mag and it is a CZ only edition. Did some good reviews of the P07 and the 75 as well of most of the rest of CZ/Dan Wesson line. Worth checking out.
  11. If you can't conceal the 19 you can't conceal the 26. I carried the 19 and consider it the perfect carry size. Like other have said, pocket carry is the only real advantage of the 26. I prefer the compromise of capacity over size for the vast amjority of carry scenarios.
  12. This is probably the longest I've held onto a gun! I like it. IF you are looking at the P07, make sure the mags drop free in it. If not CZ will replace it for no charge, but It's better to get the newest version with the issue already corrected.
  13. Bronker, you need to just go get a CZ already! P07, Rami, P01, 75 You can't go wrong and you'll end up with most of them anyway. Seriously though, the P07 is a tad longer in the grip than a G19 but thinner. The slide is bit heavier and thicker than the G19. The P07 weighs more but it isn't all that noticeable to me. The Rami is a bit large version of the G26 in the ways mentioned above. All the CZ's are ergonomically superior to the Glocks by a long shot.
  14. I have seen it both ways however, statistics prove that the negative stuff that always gets thrown out there about social skills ect is largely leftist teacher union propaganda. You don't mess with the Union! Social Skills and Homeschooling: Myths and Facts - FamilyEducation.com
  15. Seems the more "connected" we are with the world the less connected we are with each other.
  16. They're as prone to breakage as Glocks are to shoot you in the rear and XD's are to break roll pins. That's a great deal and you should take it over the other pistols you were considering. If you do have an issue, S&W is one of the best to deal with. BTW - I've had 3 Glocks, 3 XD's, and 1 M&P and I liked them all, but I would have to go with the M&P over the others. The major benefits for me over Glocks are the ergo's and looks. Biggest benefit over the XD is the lower bore axis and size. There are other pro's but these were my main factors for choosing the M&P. The only thing Glock has on the others (IMO) is mag prices and shorter grip.
  17. Hi-points have great reps as far as function.... they're just ugly as all get out! Seriously you got a great tool.
  18. Lower bids, American made, better and varied safety options, more configurations (ie mag safety, external safety, ect.), and ergo's I would imagine.
  19. All due respect I think you going a bit far. Yes I heard the song back in the day and yes my parents told me it was inappropriate but I seriously doubt anyone really meant they were going to actually shoot their teacher or took delight in a true death scenario. To take some drastic stand on that particular ditty would be the equivalent of what this school did to this poor kid. What he probably never though of in a serious manner or menacing manner he now will. I'd rather him enjoy his ignorant innocence of youth than deal with other grownups personal fears. Shoot all of our parents would be jacked up on Ritalin and in psychotherapy these days with all the cowboys and indians, cops and robbers, and Davey Crockett they played. Part of being a kid is learning about stuff they don't understand. I guess thats OK with liberals when they are exploring sex with Ken, Barbie, and Ken's friend Tom but not death and conflict with GI Joe. Maybe that's why they can make babies but not handle a bully. BTW - I also understand times are different for teachers and I understand your reaction, I'm just sad that that is where we are. We've taken their innocence and they are repaying in kind.
  20. That video is designed to try and show people who are obviously breaking the law how not to get caught. That just rubs me the wrong way. I do agree with the not consenting to a search, but that video irritates me every time I see it.
  21. Don't even have the words to describe my thoughts.:koolaid::(
  22. You're not that old. Vest are fine unless they are photog vest or denim. I see one of those I know exactly what they are for. BTW I have been using a vest I got at Sam's this year that is awesome. Thing is WARM, not bulky, weather proof and covers very well. I doubt anyone think guns when they see that. I think whatever you use make it fit the rest of your look and it shouldn't stick out. When I have my bag and 3 kids and a pregnant wife, I'm pretty sure the assumption is it's a manly diaper bag. However, if your effeminate, go with the fanny pack! They'll just think your from San Fan. Best concealment ever!
  23. It's not that big. They have different sizes, though. This one can carry quite a bit if you pack carefully, but mainly smaller things. It would be a perfect mini - BOB. You could fill it with smaller supplies ammo etc. The way it is laid out, you can fit a lot more in it than the actual size belies. I've never loaded it up. Just camera's and kid stuff (food clothes, diapers, ect) it can get pretty heavy. It is ideal for traveling IMO. I, especially like the water bottle pocket. You can get other pockets to strap on it as well. It is pretty modular. BTW it's a whole lot better than a diaper bag! I got 4 kids under 6! Haha! I know what you mean, but i don't think it is as out of place as a photog vest or fanny pack. As long as you don't stick military patches on the Velcro, it fits in with this generations fascination with shoulder bags etc. If you use the Maxpedition holster you can fit about anything in there, I would imagine. I carry a CZ P07 in it, but my buddies 5 in. 1911 will fit as well. If you try to use some other holster it may not fit. I tried using an Uncle Mikes nylon holster and it added too much bulk, especially length. It made it hard to zip close. I also carry two spare mags in Maxpedition's mag holder in the same compartment. It is very well laid out and thought out IMO.
