  1. "Desert Eagle 1, Raccoon 0" is pretty funny indeed. Funny that he had Deagle and funnier that he used it on the raccoon! Bet that was a nice clean up job!

To me they are even on the great guns list. However, the FNX only weighs 21 oz, BIG diff for carry and has changeable back straps (not a big deal). It holds 17 rnds so it is in between the P07 and SP01 on that front. It's really got me interested.
  3. Referring to the reporter describing him as "jug handled ears".
  4. Yeah, what was that!?
  5. Unless you get some stupid squirrel that decides to bark and attack his reflection! That would be great for hunting! Man I hate tree rats!
  6. Congrats. My parents (father was a pastor) had a couple want to come talk to them one night about major unknown medical issue the wife was having. Everyone thought it was cancer - even the doctors. Well after running weeks of test they find out she was pregnant. Now here's the kicker, she had her tubes tied and he had a vasectomy. They already had two kids. One was 21 and the "youngest" was 18. The wife was 46 and the husband was 52! We were surprised by our fourth due in May, but she will only be 3 years younger than our youngest boy. We thought we were done and it was quite a surprise. It's always exciting and hard but as frustrating as they can be, there is little on this earth that gives me as much joy just watching and talking to my kids.
  7. I was hesitant to look at this thread from your title! Nice loNg gun pics!

    FNX-9

Grips, rail, safety/de-cocker, slide release, and mag release are all different. The major improvements to me are the safety and mag release. the original safety was a flimsy feeling bent piece of sheet metal that you could bend pretty easy. The new design is a lot better IMO.

Anyone seen or handled one of FN's new FNX line? I loved the FNP I had, except for the inability to carry C&L. I had intentions of picking up an FNP-USG, but I'm really liking what I see of the FNX. The knock I had with the FNP was the weak feeling de-cocking/safety lever and they are using the FNP-45's, which should be an improvement. Thoughts opinions? New FNX Old FNP for comparison
  10. Oh, I didn't miss that one!
  11. +1. That's what I thought. She didn't strike down the law only the part defining a restaurant. Which would mean the new law is still in effect only not enforcible for prosecution because the restaurant term can't be defined. So if the legislature defines what a restaurant is in a separate bill then there would be no need for a new or different carry bill. It would seem that maybe we could get Bonneyman thrown out on the "voided for vaugness" doctrine! This makes sense to me, but I don't want to be the test case.
  12. How about: Fairbain Sykes Applegate IDF The US Military through 2 world wars ........ Fairbain and Sykes alone had far more LE combat than any on the above list and I think the IDF speaks for itself. Just Sayin!
  13. I've had two PF9's and a P11. The PF9 is a far better gun than the P11. Trigger is MUCH better and it handles easier, IMO, than the P11. Like everyone has said the recoil is snappy, but nothing really bad. It's not a range gun, but a little practice shouldn't bother you too much. I always started my range time with the PF9's and then went to my larger guns. Made them feel like .22's. A lot of fun. Do get the trigger shoe for either model and the trigger will be a whole lot better. All 3 of the KT's I had have been 100% reliable.
  14. You know, for those that claim the BAC is not fair due to differences in size ability, etc this may be one of the fairest laws we have concerning handguns or alchohol. Just sayin!
  15. I really like the M&P, but I prefer the fullsize. The CT is a not worth anything to me. The ones I've seen and used are more of a distraction than a benefit. The thing jumps all over the place. My thinking is that the training that it would take to master a laser would much be better translated to regular training of pistol technique. There are those that have them and use them, but it's just not my cup of tea.

    Miss me yet?

    Reagan?
  17. The only thing I use is "Gun Safe". It keeps up with all the above in a pretty neat format. I mainly use it to track what I've had and the sales info. GunSafe - Firearms Collection Software
  18. Sure you are. It just isn't worth .02 at that point.
  19. Very nice. I waited about that long for a K&D once. The good ones are always backed up.
  20. I am all for this. Not that my say counts, but I would love to see who's getting the boot and for what.
  21. Isn't a fundamental practice of science the integrity and trail of information? I don't know about you guys but when I tried to explain to my college or high school teachers that I couldn't document my work, they usually understood it meant that I had copied it or made it up. He's trying the Obama/ Wizard of Oz trick - No need to check the information, you can trust me. I'm smarter than you.
  22. I guess you guys missed where he got the Sigma.
  23. That's pretty funny. He hates it so much he demands to be a part of it.
  24. Womens hockey, huh?
  25. I think the understanding in TN is that while carrying there is a zero limit. Although it is gray I would feel pretty certain the AD and prosecutors are going to interpret it that way, especially given that the restaurant carry law frames it that way.
