  1. I think his best movie was Attila. Very good movie.
  2. Great thread revive Batman! Just watched this movie and it was awesome. Somewhatt unrealistic and had some plot/character holes but overall very good! The questions it raised were excellent and i found myself not being able to call the main characters good guys or bad guys. There were times i was rooting for both and despising both. Not your average lollipop social movie, but not overly cynical either. Great action, great story, movie believable, and the acting was very good.
  3. The 5.45 is significantly different than the 7.62x39 thus the OP was in regards to a '47 as opposed to the '74. That being said I think you make a good point about the shooter as opposed to the gun. In all fairness the AR holds accuracy enhancements that the AK does not. It is also those same "enhancements" that make the AR less reliable and dependable than the AK. It's all trade offs, but it as it usually does it comes down to the shooter and skill within the given platform. A great AR guy will out shoot a great AK guy all things being equal and I LOVE the AK!
  4. I should've added both my P99's were the QA model. They are similar trigger pulls to the G19 and M&P. The AS is sort of a DA/SA. A lot of folk like it I just wasn't one of them.
  5. The P99 is a fantastic gun. I've had two and both were excellent. Ergos can't be beat and it is very slim. They do have a heavier trigger pull out of the box, but nothing a few easy spring changes can't fix. Plus it is James Bonds gun! I've also had an M&P and it too is an excellent choice. It would be my first choice except for the fact that it is a bit larger than the P99 and G19. the G19 is the cheapest and most utilitarian of the 3 and also and excellent choice. Of the three I was by far the most accurate with the P99 followed by the M&P and then the G19. If you don't mind the price tag, snatch up the P99 and enjoy German engineering at it's best.

Yeah, it's a shrunk down FNP-45 and it retains the USG SA/DA capabilities.

    FNP9 for SR9c

I too would stay with the FNP. Trigger is much better and it is a better quality piece. The SR9 is a nice but it's just not an FN.
  8. I had one for my FNP and my take was that it was a little bulky and the attachment point made it fit awkward. It just never worked for me. However, others have used it and really like it.

I never had any problems with it or heard of problems. It just seemed weak and didn't fit the overall perception of the quality of the pistol IMO.
  10. Haha, somehow I missed that the first time! Very funny.

    First Gun

Nice first one. The good thing about those is if the money runs out you can usually get most of what you have in it out of it.
  12. Glad everyone stayed safe. The sad part is Haiti now doesn't look a whole lot different than Haiti then. The good thing about the quake is that what was once a silent problem has now been brought to the forefront of out minds. Lots of work left to do.
  13. Saiga x39 (I like building these things) and a MSAR STG. It's nice not owing anyone!

Phantom weighs 28.8 oz. The P07 weighs 27 oz
  15. "Desert Eagle 1, Raccoon 0" is pretty funny indeed. Funny that he had Deagle and funnier that he used it on the raccoon! Bet that was a nice clean up job!

To me they are even on the great guns list. However, the FNX only weighs 21 oz, BIG diff for carry and has changeable back straps (not a big deal). It holds 17 rnds so it is in between the P07 and SP01 on that front. It's really got me interested.
  17. Referring to the reporter describing him as "jug handled ears".
  18. Unless you get some stupid squirrel that decides to bark and attack his reflection! That would be great for hunting! Man I hate tree rats!
  19. Congrats. My parents (father was a pastor) had a couple want to come talk to them one night about major unknown medical issue the wife was having. Everyone thought it was cancer - even the doctors. Well after running weeks of test they find out she was pregnant. Now here's the kicker, she had her tubes tied and he had a vasectomy. They already had two kids. One was 21 and the "youngest" was 18. The wife was 46 and the husband was 52! We were surprised by our fourth due in May, but she will only be 3 years younger than our youngest boy. We thought we were done and it was quite a surprise. It's always exciting and hard but as frustrating as they can be, there is little on this earth that gives me as much joy just watching and talking to my kids.
  20. I was hesitant to look at this thread from your title! Nice loNg gun pics!

Grips, rail, safety/de-cocker, slide release, and mag release are all different. The major improvements to me are the safety and mag release. the original safety was a flimsy feeling bent piece of sheet metal that you could bend pretty easy. The new design is a lot better IMO.

Anyone seen or handled one of FN's new FNX line? I loved the FNP I had, except for the inability to carry C&L. I had intentions of picking up an FNP-USG, but I'm really liking what I see of the FNX. The knock I had with the FNP was the weak feeling de-cocking/safety lever and they are using the FNP-45's, which should be an improvement. Thoughts opinions? New FNX Old FNP for comparison
