  1. I like it and I don't usually like basket weave. That looks good. How does it fit and wear?
  2. Yeah, my question wasn't to beat up on people for their grieving, I was just wondering if there was some pop culture origin or if it was just something that people randomly picked up. I saw it mostly in the black communities then it seemed to be all over. I just find it rather interesting and curious.:-\
  3. It does come in .223, but you may have to order it.
  4. I've always had good results with Centerfire. That's a heck of a deal, considering it also includes shipping. IIRC they are Century builds so the quality may be iffy, but I'd feel better knowing it came via Centerfire
  5. Pretty good reporting IMO. I wasn't expecting that. Especially the interview. Of course since the others declined, he may have been the only one left!
  6. Just curious as to what the deal is with the memorials folks are putting in their car windows for lost loved ones. Not trying to be disrespectful just curious. Seems like I used to see them in mainly bad neighborhoods in rough looking cars with odd names like "RIP Biggie Big". I just equated it with the shoes on the power lines kinda thing. Latley I'm seeing them all over in all types of vehicles. What's the deal?
  7. No, I gotta ya. It's just that Joe was a plumber. The Docs could be questionable. Otherwise I knew where you were going. I'll leave it at that.
  8. I think your making assumptions. Those aren't parallel jokes anyway. Joe was just a normal guy the Dems went after for lib points and it backfired on them. The administration has already had one "health care" press shoot where folks were handed lab coats regardless of if they were verified Ph D's or not. Many weren't.
  9. Not sure I understand your reference?
  10. I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't real doctors!
  11. Evidently the University of Tennessee athletic department disagrees with him.
  12. I've not heard anything bad about them.

    Bobcat!

Very nice! I'd like to get me one of those one day.
  14. I'm guessing these kinds of threads are the quickest way to up your post count!
  15. It's great ammo. Some of the most accurate com bloc stuff out there, so everyone says. It is corrosive though, so keep that in mind and clean good.
  16. I think it just goes to show that the more we know the more we realize how little we know. Thing about science is that it is constantly correcting and adjusting what it "knows"..... if it is honest. Things always change but to ascribe us as being able to create or destroy something that we can not control is the height of arrogance. I would be happy if we could stop just one devastating Tsunami, one 8.8 earthquake, or even one Hurricane. You know I'd be happy if we could just predict one of these things. To think we can predict what will happen in 100 years from now when we can't predict current events seem backwards. NASA has some sharp guys, but they have shown they make many miscalculations. Thats not a knock on them just the nature of the beast.
  17. He doesn't make the rules ....... yet! I'll be worried when post start coming up missing.
  18. There are plenty of caliber debate threads so no need to dump in the OP's thread when it has nothing to do with his question. There is a reson your beloved Glock sells more G17's and G19's than any other models. There is no wonder bullet or caliber. They all have pluses and minuses. Many a man has been stopped and not stopped by 9mm ......... as well as .40, 357 Sig, .45, etc. BTW the some +p and +p+ 9mm loads are equal and in some cases have higher velocity than the .357 Sig.
  19. I just revisited the XD forum after being gone for awhile and noticed a lot of guys with 10k and 20k plus and then realized most of them spent CONSIDERABLE time in the "Post here to bump your post count threads"! At least we aren't that lonely yet!
  20. I've had 4 AR's and several Saiga converted AK's and i keep coming back to the AK. Sell the AR and accessories separate. It is easier to get the most out of what you have unbundled. The majority of high end AK's out there are owned by people who aren't going to part with them, so finding a trade that will be even will be difficult. Have Will at Red Jacket convert a Saiga clone for you and it will come in under $700 for a AK103 clone. He did my first one and it was awesome. Or you can save a little and do the basic conversion and have him do the finish and front end work. Bottom line is there are a lot of options and for A+ quality (AR or AK) things are going to equal out as far as dollar amount go. Sounds like you know what you need to know so just decide what YOU want and then get it done.
  21. Kinda like militaries and LE agencies world wide. Including our own military and many LE agencies? If .40 was all that why do some departments use 357 Sig (9mm BTW), .45, 9mm, etc.? Your comments, on this subject, have been about as informed and helpful as a third nipple.
  22. girl I went to school with Dad's made a fortune with potpourri stands in malls (go figure!) and he bought two the year they came out, 95' 96'? He had a white one with blue racing stripes and a blue one with white racing stripes. They are really cool cars, no pun intended.
  23. Yeah, it's already been covered.
  24. Here's a really good deal on a "Counter Sniper 1-4" they were government contract over runs. Normally they are over $1k SG has them for $399. Counter Sniper 1 - 4x24 Tactical Scope, Scopes, Counter Sniper at Sportsman's Guide
