  1. A lot of the newest test show that Federal HST,Corbon DPX, Winchester Ranger, Hornady TAP & Critical Defense and even some of the older rounds like the Gold Dot work well. Only thing still being sold that lags behind is the Hydra-shok. It tends to clog on just about any material outside of flesh. Personally, I really like and use (albeit in 9mm) is Federal HST and Winchester Ranger-T.
  2. No kidding. I'm kinda enjoying the availability and afford ability of the moment. All we need is another great gun grab and I'm not talking about the antis! Now if all that hoarded ammo will start flooding the market as well we can get those prices down again. Although I'm not holding my breath.
  3. Married 5 days? You know it's a bad relationship when you get killed on your honeymoon.
  4. Don't think I've ever heard anything negative about them. Glad you're are happy.
  5. Heard the same thing about not making the optic. Glad you got what you want. When I ordered I just happened to get what I wanted from CDNN. Bud's was out and I really wanted to order from Ratworx for the mags, but they were out as well.
  6. I too was thinking Rudy! Rudy! He's a motivational speaker and often comes to Nashville. If you get a chance I highly recommend listening to him. As to the NY Rudy I also want to hear what he aid about 2a.
  7. Very nice.

Gun City's is still a little far for decent practice. I would also suggest for your safety and sanity don't go to the dungeon again. The last time I was there I had to quit because I was getting showered with the other guys bullet jackets and concrete! That place is just dangerous. Guns and Leather or even ASP in Joelton will be much more enjoyable.

Yeah if your shooting at 50 yrds ..... well, get a little close like 45 yards closer! as far as the polls go i don't think i have ever gone with the consensus of one of the polls I've done! Go figure. I would suggest the LW conversion barrel, especially if the recoil is a little much for you ATM. You can pick up some of the Korean G19 mags for cheap and they work.
  10. Where did you find your "20?
  11. No sorry. I was speaking in general terms. I'm told the Centerfire 74's are coming from Century. some of the other 350ish AK's are also from IO Inc.
  12. Century and IO Inc..

    Bobcat!

nothing uncivil. I'm not offended or upset with anyone. Folks who don't hunt or haven't been around it sometimes don't understand hunting or hunters and sometimes folks who aren't around non hunters forget they have a hard time getting it.

    Bobcat!

Bearman, I think you being a little over the top. I too think bobcats, foxes, and even some yotes are beuatiful creatures but i'll still hunt them and shoot every yote i see. My families in the cattle buisness, so i fully understand. Even lost some dogs to preditors. Thinking they are beautiful creations and hunting are not mutually exusive sentiments.
  15. Haven't got to shoot it yet, but as far as handling, feel, quality, ect. it is REALLY nice.
  16. I'm pretty sure someone is already bringing them in. I believe it was Kimber that imported them originally but labeled them under their name. You can get them throguh Davidson's, but I don't know who the importer is. I'm assuming they are CD imports.
  17. +1 . I think it's a case of unintended, or if your tin foil is tight, intended consequences. The "lesser" felonies were added to increase the sentencing ability on accomplices and peripheral criminals and ended up catching a lot of other people it was not necessarily intended for. Plus police like felony arrest (propaganda, stats, ect.) and it is a lot easy to get possession felonies than actual "crime" felonies. Serpas own statistical LE tactic is proof of that. Stop as many cars as possible to increase felony arrest.
  18. I was told in Chicago that when someone was killed you took their shoes and tossed them over the line as a memorial. Probably has more than one meaning.
  19. Sad part is that there are probably a bunch of folks who don't understand the red and the sickle and the hammer. I would be willing to bet most folks think it is just making fun of the Obama campaign posters!
  20. No kidding! Maybe i should have complained more!
  21. Well, I got my MSAR STG556 about two weeks ago and noticed that the BHO feature wasn't engaging correctly. I should add that I haven't shot the rifle yet and figured it might just be a break-in issue or a mag issue. It appeared that the mag follower wasn't engaging the BHO properly. I contacted MSAR customer service just to see if that was a known or easy remedy. Here is where I began to be impressed My e-mail was returned within 2 minutes of sending the original question. Mind you I wasn't upset as the BHO isn't a big issue for me. My follow up questions were answered in the same quick fashion and Dave offered several tips to try to remedy the issue. It was like Dave at MSAR was sitting there waiting for my questions. My last comment was that I'd just take it to the range and see if the issue corrected itself. I was satisfied with that. Well, today UPS shows up with a package from MSAR?! I opened it and low and behold he sent me a brand new trigger pack and a 42 rnd amber mag ........ FREE! Are you kidding me!? That is what I call customer service. I can't imagine what they would have done had I been upset or had a real significant issue. I was becoming an MSAR fan just based on the quality of the rifle, but now I am a die hard MSAR fan!
  22. You buy it directly from them and then have it shipped to your local dealer who does the transfer.
  23. Are some lying? Absolutely, but i think a lot are probably just regurgitating what they are fed. The thing I've noticed about science is that like just about any other life discipline, the majority of people tend to be lazy and trusting of others information. Just think how many times debates around here use facts that start with "well my brother's best friends girlfriends father was in Seal Team Six and he said ...........":D
  24. Just got one of these for my MSAR STG556 and so far I really like it. I was having trouble deciding between all the different versions and styles, but I'm glad I went with the "Giles" sling. It is sort of a 2 point/3 point type sling that holds the weapon in perfect positions. I say it plural because it is very versatile without compromising between carry positions. The quick detach buckle makes it easy to get on and off and it's design makes it to where it is fairly short so it doesn't hang down to get in the way. The only drawback on the MSAR is that because the front sling mount is just ahead of the charging handle it tends to get in the way a bit. I don't think it will be a problem though. I'll try to get some pictures up later, but here are some till then.
