1. In Kenya they would use a small sapling branch and fray the end to brush their teeth. ONe of the doctors also told us that without processed foods their are very few routine teeth issues.
2. Most of those come out of one of two of the Russian ammo factories. They are all about the same and work just fine. Differences in case and coatings are minimal and only preferential.
3. I thought he was talking about the barrel diameter and HG retainer in which they ARE the same for most countries. The Mak is different. True, to use AK handguards you have to press off the FS and GB and replace them. I always paid someone to do that. If you look at my list you will see I added in that cost as well as the parts. Dinzag makes a bolt on HG retainer that makes it possible without removing anything except the gas tube.
4. Ran into Jason Mumpower in my office building just now and had to say hi. Told him about TGO and said that I was pretty happy with the changes they have been able to make. I then HAD to ask how he thought Williams was doing. He said he was the wrong guy to ask! He did add that he (meaning Williams) could do better. I agreed with that with which he responded, "We could have really revolutionized things!". I then had the pleasure of ignoring Naifeh, when he came in a little later. Oh, the MANY things I wanted to say!
5. She did win the Miss America Swimsuit competition!
6. I do know that their Red dot scope gets rave reviews and all their lines have unconditional lifetime warranties.
7. Funny how the mind works, but this reminded me of how Obama got his Senate seat. Seems like her divorce custody records, which was sealed by request of both sides and a court order, were released against all three wishes at the request of some news outlets and the alleged custody grounds lead to her ex-husband withdrawing his campaign for the seat which he was favored to win. How's that for off -topic!
8. Just goes to show the Star Trek creators homocentric prejudices. and no that has nothing to do with Takei!

glock 23 magazine

Powder only ignites with fire/spark. Hitting the primer does not even necessarily set off the powder. Striking the primer ignites the primer which ignites the powder. All that to say no amount of pressure, no matter how intense, is going to set off a round. Only a fire/spark will ignite powder. Think about it, they grind powder to begin with.
10. Only on the .223 IIRC.

EAA Windicator

Never heard anything bad about EAA's. They are copies of CZ's mostly (auto's) and have a good track record. Whether or not customer service is worth anything I don't know.
12. Very true and that was one of their beauties. Parents could watch them with their kids and everyone enjoyed it. These days I have a hard time watching some of these cartoons that are out.
13. My kids lover Tom and Jerry as well.

Could you not just use loctite on the screw?
15. and just about every alien they find looks human. Not to mention that the Federation runs the Galaxy but most of the aliens they encounter are vastly superior in technology/development. Why aren't they running the Galaxy?
16. I don't think you understand. The ATF is considered the "bad guy" because they are the entity that is charged with enforcing unconstitutional laws. As such how they operate flies in the face of our sensibilities as Americans living under the constitution. Not everything they do falls under this thought, but when it comes to guns and the 2a it very much does. Kinda like the American Gestapo - the IRS.
17. Sad isn't it? My dad's generation used to walking around town carrying their .22 rifles and handguns on their way to the woods for hunting etc. and it was nothing but normal. Fear has a way of shaping our lives in a fashion that does not make us better.

New Walther P99c AS

I've had two and they are fantastic guns. I prefer the QA trigger because it is very similar to a Glock/M&P/ ect. trigger. The only thing i didn't care for was the long reset. It comes fairly heavy but you can change the striker spring and get a pretty decent trigger pull. The S&W versions trigger is a little different than either the AS or QA Walther triggers. It is a DAO. The AS is a DA/SA variant and the QA is a SA (Glock type SA). I know it is technically not SA, but I think it make sit more understandable to describe it that way.
19. Here's how i do it. These are the basics. Thing I like about the list below is everything comes with the necessary hardware/drill bits/taps ect. Makes it real easy. A Dremel with a good cut off wheel and grinder, a couple punches 1/8 and 1/4, a hand drill with a 1/8 drill bit and about an hour is all it takes. CDNN - Saiga $299 delivered. Carolina Shooters Supply -easiest and cheapest for one stop shopping -Stock - ORIGINAL AK STYLE STOCK TAPCO BLACK - Trigger - TRIGGER GROUP-SAIGA/AK-47 SINGLE HOOK G2 - trigger guard - TRIGGER GUARD-BOLT ON "ANGLED" - retaining plate - TRIGGER PARTS-AXIS PIN RETAINING PLATE FOR THE SAIGA RIFLES/AK 47 - bullet guide - BULLET GUIDE 7.62X39 WITH DRILL AND TAP SET - PG - GRIP AK/SAIGA ORIGINAL STYLE BLACK Just an FYI, this basic build will cost: $299 + 30 transfer/Tics Parts 117.84 = shipping $11(?) = $446.84 If you want to go all the way and get the front end AK103 style (front end) add $45 HG, $30 gas tube, $25 FS, $12 for the FH, $25 gas block, $10 HG retainer, and $150 for labor and finish. Total would be - $733.84 Bottom line is the SLG is a great way to go but cost more. The saiga conversion will cost a little less, but you get to make it exactly like you want it and get the satisfaction of doing the majority of it yourself.
20. I love my Butt Drugs. "Free parking in the rear"!!!!
21. It may be toothless but I see it as good ground work, or to follow the analogy the gums. It is easier to add a tooth at a time if need be. Whether it be spineless or effective depends on what comes down the line.
22. I really like this law as it just makes sense. Funny we have to "create" laws to validate what should be understood. Makes me think the human race hans't come so far after all.
23. Same guy. He left for a while and then came back a couple weeks ago.
24. I found Kirk's character to be pretty funny. He was always portrayed as the ideal man ...... until a woman entered the scene. He immediately went crazy.
