  1. The outage issues have to do with the installation. If the dishes are positioned correctly anything short of a tornado is not going to knock off the signal completely. 99% percent of the signal complaints I got where fixed by correctly adjusting the dish. Heck, Comcast gets their feed off the same satellites and how often do they go out?
  2. haha! Thanks but I think it is more a combonation of lots of computer time at my jobs, liking to read, and a bit of an obsession to know stuff.
  3. I've sod for both Dish and Direct and i like dish better. I think their menu and features are a little better. Do play the game. If you are switching from cable (or Direct for that matter) just tell Dish you are THINKING about switching and see how much you can get. It's worse than used cars! If you really want to get the bes rates switch every few years between Dish, Direcrt, and cable.
  4. yeah' if you reuse the tg it ca be a lot harder. The bolt on trigger guards are well worth the $18 they cost. I use the old trigger guard as leverage for breaking off the plate. Carolinashooterssupply.com has a few different options. A must buy for coversions!
  5. The side rail came with it. UTG is making rails specifically for the STG that are more cost effective than the MSAR/Ratworx rails. From what I've read they are pretty good.
  6. Good stuff. The same stuff as Wolf black box. Although the prices have gone up and now it is nearly a dollar more a box than from the online dealers.
  7. those are medium and there's not much room left, so i'm guessing the low would be too low.
  8. The MSAR came from CDNN the Saiga I got from Phil at Bellshire. Centerfiresystems.com has the Saiga for $299 delivered ATM.
  9. Thats about the most ingenious idea I've seen in awhile.
  10. I've found the easiest way is to Dremel the 3 rivet heads off then use a flat blade screwdriver to pry the plate up. Seem to come off pretty easy that way. Of course I don't try to reuse the trigger guard either. After that comes off i use a 1/8th drill bit and dril down the rivet post and finish them off with a punch.
  11. In Kenya they would use a small sapling branch and fray the end to brush their teeth. ONe of the doctors also told us that without processed foods their are very few routine teeth issues.
  12. Most of those come out of one of two of the Russian ammo factories. They are all about the same and work just fine. Differences in case and coatings are minimal and only preferential.
  13. I thought he was talking about the barrel diameter and HG retainer in which they ARE the same for most countries. The Mak is different. True, to use AK handguards you have to press off the FS and GB and replace them. I always paid someone to do that. If you look at my list you will see I added in that cost as well as the parts. Dinzag makes a bolt on HG retainer that makes it possible without removing anything except the gas tube.
  14. Ran into Jason Mumpower in my office building just now and had to say hi. Told him about TGO and said that I was pretty happy with the changes they have been able to make. I then HAD to ask how he thought Williams was doing. He said he was the wrong guy to ask! He did add that he (meaning Williams) could do better. I agreed with that with which he responded, "We could have really revolutionized things!". I then had the pleasure of ignoring Naifeh, when he came in a little later. Oh, the MANY things I wanted to say!
  15. She did win the Miss America Swimsuit competition!
  16. I do know that their Red dot scope gets rave reviews and all their lines have unconditional lifetime warranties.
  17. Funny how the mind works, but this reminded me of how Obama got his Senate seat. Seems like her divorce custody records, which was sealed by request of both sides and a court order, were released against all three wishes at the request of some news outlets and the alleged custody grounds lead to her ex-husband withdrawing his campaign for the seat which he was favored to win. How's that for off -topic!
  18. Just goes to show the Star Trek creators homocentric prejudices. and no that has nothing to do with Takei!

Powder only ignites with fire/spark. Hitting the primer does not even necessarily set off the powder. Striking the primer ignites the primer which ignites the powder. All that to say no amount of pressure, no matter how intense, is going to set off a round. Only a fire/spark will ignite powder. Think about it, they grind powder to begin with.
