  1. Don't know but it is probably something a gunsmith could tell you pretty quickly just by looking at it.
  2. Don't thread 1/2x28. That is the standard AR thread and any brakes/FH you find will be for 5.56. Stick to the m14 LH for the AK.
  3. Before you sign any more contracts, you more than likely have other issues that will raise their ugly head if you do ever decide to sell. A house without proper right of way or road frontage are tricky things. You will also want to make sure the improvements you made are DEDUCTED and and not added into the value at the sale. Again all things a good real estate layer can guide you through.
  4. You know when I was a little kid and didn't understand money but my older brother did, he would often trade me nickels for dimes. His argument was, "the bigger ones have to be worth more, right?" Same thing with this bill. You will get something but it will be worth at less than half of what you give up. The bright side is, many will think they got a really good deal! My salary got cut in half, but at least I don't have to pay the doctor!
  5. Yeah, not a good choice. However, the best way to handle it would simply report it to the Admin/Mods and let them make a call. Post like these usually don't wok out well. Better to handle things quietly and privatley at first.
  6. If I went that route I would get the Konus Atomic Pro. They get better reviews and have a lifetime warranty.
  7. So I'm replacing my Millet DMS-1 currently on my STG556 with a more "heads up" optic. Don't want to spend a lot so here is what i'm looking at.What do you think? Bushnell Holosight Vortex SPARC Vortex Strikefire
  8. It would be nice, but for the money I'd get another STG or two AK's!
  9. Haha, I guess it's all relative. compared to Les Baer? Yeah they're huge. compared to S&W they're very, very small. Beside how many "makers" are actually in the US?
  10. Acting like that I would definitely have them checked and take my dog to the vet ASAP. Glad you got rid of them without getting attacked yourself.
  11. Will do. I'm probably going next Thursday if i don't get called on a job or it's raining.
  12. True, but it may be a design issue on the RFB. I really like them and Kel-Tec, but I want to see more track record. The ejection system is curious to me. I expect issues from a small company that doesn't have the money of a S&W or Remington to throughly field test a new product. KT tends to do a lot of filed test with customers. Not a bad thing since they take care of them.
  13. Interesting that many of the so called "death threats" at rally's were only heard by the reporters who reported it and that all 10 legislatures that have complained of threats did so all at once on the same day. Just saying.
  14. A couple of windows and some obscene phone calls! Wow that is truly threatining. God forbid they should bomb a judge, an FBI building, or something like that. But I guess that would just be activism.
  15. I'm very pro police. Even have family that are LEO's and I was briefly. That being said I do think some of the issue is arising from the militaristic mentality of the newest generation. We get this because it is easier and more cost effective to take military trained folks (returning from war) and use military training to get more feet on the pavement more quickly and with greater ease. IMO this is great for SWAT, large scale operations, intel ect. The problem arises in low key, low profile encounters. Some tend to fall back on their military style as opposed to the traditional police style of public servant. I don't see it as some tinfoil takeover, just a residual effect of the war and other money factors. I do think we would be better served without this mentality on American soil, but it is what it is.
  16. I got it but it was all a white screen background.
  17. Yeah, they are all reruns but good everytime. Some of the Hype is a little much. Like when they tout the 5.56's "power" but it is TV drama.
  18. Took out the trigger pack sprayed it with a little misting of ArmorAll wiped off any excess and put it back in. Very similar to what I do with normal lube. Yeah, I was too. I really liked the scope on other platforms I've used it on, but it just didn't fit well for me on the STG. I think it was more of a feel thing than a "working" thing. The STG feels very "quick" and compact. It was obviously not a normal rifle feel. A good thing IMO. I just think a red dot would "feel" better to me.
  19. Finally got to do two things I've really been wanting to do. One visit Owl Hollow and two, shoot my new STG556! First, as far as Owl Hollow goes, I couldn't have asked for anything better. The owner was a super nice guy who genuinely seemed happy to have people there enjoying his place. Great place to go. The STG was great! Got 300 rnds down her and only had one FTF issue. I'm chalking it up to the Wolf 55g ammo. It had a good primer strike, but didn't go off. All the other rounds worked just fine. I will say there is a little bit of a learning curve to the unfamiliar bullpup design. I had a few difficulties at first that was due to this fact. Once I figueed everythhing out the gun flat out RAN! Recoil is minimal, it was very accurate (for me), handled very well, and the trigger was very good. I sprayed the trigger pack with Armor All and it really slicked it up. It was light and broke very cleanly and predictably. I am really going to enjoy this gun. The only thing I wasn't thrilled about was the Millet DMS-1 scope I had mounted. I liked it on my AR's, but I think I would much prefer a red dot on this particular gun. Other than that it was great!
  20. Anyone watching? Features a lot of Sabre and Predator.
  21. While i don't like hearing anyone use the word, how in the world is this a story when we have just proved Khrushchev right?
  22. +1! or like me and use a piston system MSAR STG556!
  23. Wow. That's a unique one. Right between England, Ireland, and Scotland. That's an unruly sandwich to be between!
