  1. I'd rather use something like the Sure Sight. I had them on an XD and they indeed worked very well. Looked odd, but they worked great and were surprisingly smaller than they appeared. Fit just about every holster made for the gun. SureSight and no, they are nothing like the other pyramid/triangle sights out there. different principles.
  2. As a History major I can attest that History (incorrectly so) is more often than not seen and taught through the perspective of the one telling/teaching it. There are some who try to look at it purely in it's context, but it is so easily to put it in the wrong context and so change the conclusions one draws from the facts. What they are doing in Texas is adding back time honored facts and contexts to what liberals had been stripping away for so long. The very basis of conservatism is that we honor historical contexts that have held true throughout different historical time periods. Thus validating principles and facts as opposed to "new" theories. We aren't opposed to new theories, but we are are slow and skeptical to change until there is proof of the need to do so. Liberals want to rewrite history to validate unproven theories, because that is the only way they can continue an illogical idea. So why would liberals do that? Human nature. The idea that we are gods and we can create, destroy, or manipulate what we haven't created in order to demonstrate our superiority. That we can change the very laws of nature and humanity because we are smarter than all who have come before us. Ironically every time they do this they prove themselves wrong. There's my late night historical, theological, and philosophical rant for the night.
  3. You'll probably have to wait till they get the warranty department in order with whatever company takes it over...... if any.
  4. ".... and I'm not going to do the Ramen thing!" How beneath him. The thought process is so perverted I don't know where to start.
  5. So it turns out to be a setup, to show how exposed kids are to the very stuff we were appalled at. Cool!? 'Scarface' video features children - CNN.com
  6. You can get the H&R Pardner Pump which is an 870 clone made by the same company that owns Remington for under 200. Can't beat that IMO.
  7. There is nothing church, baptist, christian, or good about these people. They are a family who have self labeled themselves. They represent the opposite of what they call themselves. They would make good democrats :screwy:
  8. True, but the thing that raises my radar is that what he said, while borderline, is not necessarily extremist. As I and others have pointed out Hassan said far worse and in far more direct ways and nothing. A bullet tends to hit where it is pointed. When there are 37 known radical Islamic camps here in the US and the so called "Christian" group and guys like this get pinched.... it makes you wonder just where it the governments gun pointed.
  9. WOW! a 3 yr. old thread revival ..... and a Rabbi one at that.
  10. Why in the world would he have to pay their appeal fees when he won? Can't think of what it's called but isn't it the other way?
  11. I call BS. Everyone knows Silver Bear combloc ammo and a Hungarian surplus piece can NOT achieve that kind of accuracy.
  12. ???? A little early to be drinking. Isn't it?
  13. The police think so. Personally I would go for the 23. It has all the benefits of the full size 22 while being compact enough to be very easily concealed.
  14. Wow. Is it just me or does every new "investigation" of "right wing extremist" hint at the coming persecution by the socialist left? I may be getting my tinfoil in a wad, but it really seems like these things are picking up specifically against what HMS has laid out as the biggest domestic threat - right wing, Christian, military, Americans. Coincidences or ideology in practice? How come they couldn't have done this was Hassan, who had far more cause for concern?
  15. While visiting family in Harrison, AR one Christmas, my brother found a briefcase with 30k in it. Turns out it was a known business man who had suspected ties to a meth ring. He thought he was being followed so he threw it out hoping to come back for it later. Funny thing is he left his business card in it and the the briefcase was monogrammed! Needless to say he got busted. As far as the guy in NY. I would think he needs to disappear before he .... disappears.
  16. True, but I was giving a hypothetical based on other state laws to make the point.
  17. The problem is the broad scope of the charge. However, child molesters, rapist ect. have an exceptionally high recidivism rate. Personally I think those charges should be under the death/life penalties. Now the 19 and 16 yr old thing is different and should be considered so, as well as some of the other charges they've lumped in there. Classic case of being tougher on "lesser" crimes has only worked to dilute/lessen the more serious crimes.
  18. I had one and it was excellent for the price.
  19. I wouldn't be too hard on him guys. It takes a while to understand capitalism and freedom. As much as we like to think it is 2nd nature, for those who were ingrained in socialism it takes a while to change. I'll never forget the lecture my grandfather gave at a university in the Ukraine to Professors, grad students, and government officials on the business of agriculture. He didn't get many questions until he began to talk about profit. Nearly the entire auditorium raised their hand to ask the same question. "What is a profit and what would you do with more money than the cost of production?" America has been a truly unique place never before seen on this planet. It's hard to remain the only standard amidst the roar of oppression. The flow of popularism is so alluring to the weak.
  20. Wrong. Don't get it, get an HSA,................... do what ever you want. Really? Ask Canada, Russia, England, ...................... I understand it feels good to believe in a utopia, but it doesn't exist nor will it exist here. Ask everyone who has tried.

I think he is refering to red dots. If that is the case it refers to the size of the dot. Meaning a "1" will cover one inch at 100 yards. IIRC.
  22. Everything is the same. When you check in you have to show your paperwork. That is the only difference.
  23. Centerfire has them for $419. Rock Island 1911 .45ACP Tactical Handgun Part #AC-RI1911TAC
