Any used sale FTF is "as is" unless specifically noted at exchange. The buying party has no recourse without an expressed or implied warranty from the seller. I've seen and had to put down plenty of cattle, one horse, and numerous small critters and for me it's never easy. Shooting them is nearly always the best way. I've seen people try to be more "caring" and it always ends up being far worse. While obviously they do feel pain, it is more survival instinct than fear or the souls mortality like in humans. I know of at least two cases (one in Memphis and one in Nashville) where people were shot PB with a .22 in the forehead and it ricocheted leaving only minor contusions. The one in Memphis was a gas station attendant and he said when the guy shot him and it ricocheted the perp crapped his pants and ran away. I'm pretty sure you can't carry your weapon. There may be a way to get approval to transport, but from what I've read it is pretty involved to get permission.

I would have asked exactly what he intended to do. Pulling his badge means nothing off duty in that scenario. In fact he would be in big trouble if it got back that he threatened you with it off duty. You probably didn't get his info, but if you did go file a complaint that he threatened you using his badge. It's a little spiteful, but he should have left the badge out of it.

Updated with pics and the new Levang Comp. Adco threaded the barrel to standard 1/2x28 ($65). It looks a little unbalanced with the 42 rnd mag, but I'm happy. Overall length is still 20". The barrel itself with out the comp is 18.5". Only thing left is one of those 20/20 rails and a 6.8 conversion or 7.62x39. I love this thing!
