  1. Yeah .... um.. creepy isn't the only word for that.
  2. What about their micro version? It seems to be the same thing only a little shorter.
  3. No, but they aren't double edged. They are "beveled" on the top and I'm guessing if you had to they could be sharpened for use.
  4. I've lived in TN/MS most of my life but by far the worst place was in Weiner, AR. ti was a rice farming community with the town located on a high point in a swamp/marsh area. The field stayed flooded most of the year and those skeeters thrived! The propane gigs work pretty good. The only problem is that once you start using them you can't really quit. The way they work is to draw mosquitoes to the system. Once it is off you realize there is an influx of mosquitoes living around you. BTW consider your neighbors when you place the contraption. They may only get the downside of the system.
  5. Yeah $182 MSRP is a LOT, but Amazon has them in the $50 range.

    Shooting problem.....

Glad you got something corrected. I know a little help I got from someone who knew what they were doing made a huge improvement for me as well. As for the SR9, its trigger is definitely better than the Sigmas but I've heard it is not the best out there. However it can be improved with springs and such.
  7. looking for some compact flip up BUIS for my STG. I like the price point of the Magpul's but they are rather long and bulky and seem to take up a lot of rail space on my 9" top rail. Any suggestions?
  8. Anynon use or handled one of these? I'm liking what I see. GerberGear > Product Details > Applegate-Fairbairn
  9. Ha, ha. The Crusades were mainly about controlling access to the silk road trade routes and sugar plantations of norther Israel/southern Turkey that got all sorts of out of hand. the religious aspect was just a good motivator.
  10. Phil is now the only one I'll transfer a gun through. Seems like all the other dealers prefer he handle transfers as well with how much they are going up on the transfer prices. Great guy.
  11. In know y'all are having fun but seriously - blaming wars on religion is like blaming guns for murder. They are simply tools that have been misused by people with ill intent.
  12. When I had to use it I paid the cash price which was generally 1/3 of the billed price. I much preferred it that way. I'm not sure how they billed the insurance company but I know it was also cheaper for them. My plan was the same as any other insurance plan in that I paid 20% and they paid 80% up to a preset limit. What I like about it was that even if the insurance company wouldn't cover something, I could still use my HSA card like a pre-paid credit card and negotiate on the cash price. I don't know why everyone, except frequent users, don't have this kind of plan. You can also pick which bank you want to use to find the best interest rate. Very convenient.
  13. Get an HSA. Then put back the limit if you can. If he doesn't use it he can withdraw the funds plus interest tax free at 65. Should run around $70-$95 a month. Best way to go for younger foks. Now the diabetes thing I'm unfamiliar with. or he can just get on the Obama plan. I hear it is the BEST!
  14. So what you are saying is that everyone is wrong which makes you right. Or at least more right? Just poking at you Jaime. To those I disagree with on this subject, know that what you believe is between you and what is right. I take no offense at being challenged nor do I intend to personally offend. I just like the exercise.
  15. Supposedly a persons beliefs shouldn't affect interpretation.
  16. Just using your quote as thought starter. Why is it people are so worried about "bible" people abusing the laws, when it is exactly the opposite. The dilution of the penal code, abortion laws, death penalty removal, stripping of states rights, etc. all stemmed from agnostic/atheist activism. Not the other way around.
  17. According to the scripture God has written the law on our hearts. Makes sense that there would generally be commonality among base beliefs. Exactly what would that look like. "Religion" as you say is simply a way for us to express in a identifiable context who we are. There is no such thing as a person with no belief. Atheist, agnostics, etc. are just as ardent if not more so in their "beliefs" than the so called religious people they oppose.
  18. I hear what your saying and for the most part, in theory, agree but would you concede that it makes a difference if the person is of a belief diametrically opposed to the foundation of the law? Religion aside, this is what has brought us to the brink of socialism as it is. Activist judges "creating" new law outside of the framers intent and base.
  19. Exactly how do you accurately interpret the law when it was/is written and based in Judeo Christian morality/ethic? It's like asking a Muslim to be you Baptist preacher. You're just not going to get it very accurate no matter how "good" a guy he/she is. For those who will argue the law is/was not based on the above, I would say you have the same problem socialist have. No recognition of history or truth.
  20. Just got a few of the Korean H&K clone mags and I gotta say I'm impressed. The fit and finish are beautiful and I can't really tell a difference between the H&K's and these. They haven't been to the range yet, but in dry runs they work well in my MSAR STG E4. Cope's has them for $6.99 so I figured I couldn't go wrong. I will say that like the H&K mags they are heavy. Quite a bit heavier than my PMags, but I think I kinda like that as opposed to the cheap feeling Al AR mags. I've heard of some folks having BHO issues in AR's but they work fine in my E4 stock. I had a bunch of the G19 mags (when I had a G19) and they were on par with Glock factory mags. Anyway anyone else have any experience with these?
  21. I really want a CRKT Ultima! Amazon.com: Columbia River Knife and Tool 2115 Ultima 5-Inch Razor-Edge Fixed Blade Knife, Black/Grey: Home Improvement
  22. I thought that's what we've been talking about. Never mind.

  24. Yeah we had it briefly where it showed under you avatar/name stuff. Didn't last long. It went away due to software upgrades or something of the like. Am i just dreaming this?
  25. We had it briefly and then it went away. I guess David could say why, but IIRC it had something to do with over complicating the software.
