  1. I found it funny that Obama's statements after his meeting with El Presidente went something to the effect, "no decent law abiding illegal alien......" I quit listening right there. How can you be a decent law abiding illegal immigrant?
  2. The Combat is awesome but too long for a mere civi like myself to carry;). I really like the both blades. Did you get the upper edge sharpened?
  3. My brother works at a Sunglass place in Green Hills and he regularly sells glasses in the $200-$300 range.... Mainly women. Crazy what people spend money on.
  4. Well, a couple blades I ordered came in and I like! To follow up on another thread about the best survival blade I decided on the Cold Steel Kurki machete. It's a little dirty because I had to try it out on some long overgrown stuff in the yard that ranged up to 2". It handled it with no problems. I'm impressed. Only thing I didn't particular care for was the thiness of the handle. It was a bit small for me and would tend to twist more than I'd like. Easy fix with some para cord. Cost $17 from Amazon. 2nd and my most favorite is the Gerber Applegate/Fairbairn F.A.S.T. It is a spring assisted open full size folder. Works very well. While it is beveled on the top it comes with only the under side sharpened. I'll definitely sharpen the top side as well. The handles are G10 and has a piston lock. REALLY like this knife. It is a bit heavy but only compared to my normal Gerber Ripstop folder. That one is super light and 1/4 of the size. This is more of a fighting knife so I appreciate the serrations that will give it more versatility as an EDC. I was also pleasantly surprised that it came with the signatures on the blade. It wasn't supposed to. Those cost about $40 more! I would definitely like to compare it to the Applegate/Fairbairn titanium version, but that one is $100 more. Blade is 440A(?) on this version. It also come with AUS8 ($98) and Titanium ($200) versions. Cost was $46 from Amazon.
  5. I'm just amazed there is even a debate. It's real easy. Do you believe in LE or not? I personally don't see the allure of anarchy.
  6. Guys. He seems to be asking for help and some want to take this opportunity to impune God, ect. If you have a personal agenda against God, fine work it out with him. Otherwise why take what hope some have, so they can share in YOUR misery and hurt. The God I know takes it away if you are willing to let it go. Mike if you need anything you know where to find me and others who are willing.
  7. It's just not true. God will often allow far more than we can handle. It is then when/if we turn to him to confirm his promise to carry us through anything that we finally see his grace in the light of our circumstances. It was Paul who prayed for God to remove the "thorn" from his side. God's response after a period of silence was that he would not remove the "thorn", but rather give him the grace to endure anything. I never fully understood that till we lost our second child. It was several years later that we had several friends in succession (my brother included) that we were able to help through the same circumstances. Wasn't easy, but it made me grateful to be able to share and understand with these couples and not just throw out platitudes and generic "grace". In 2 Corinthians Paul starts off telling us that he God allows us to go through things so that we may be comforted in order that we may comfort those who don't have anything to turn to. In other words God has designed it that the strong suffer in order to help the weaker make it through. This is why bad things happen to good people. Who will help the helpless if we have never been there before. OS, unfortunately it may appear that way in many circumstances and for that I'm truly sorry.I also agree that it has become a common catch phrase with little understanding of the application. That is what happens sometimes when man puts his desires before the desire of God the father. However, there are many who blow that stereotype out of the water. Don't let the ugly blind you to the truth.
  8. Compressing the springs shouldn't have any weakening effect. The only thing that should effect the springs is compressing decompressing the spring. I have mine loaded so I'll see.
  9. Seriously? I LOATHED that movie. Maybe it was more the subject matter than the movie itself.
  10. Nah, something about those high cheek bones throws me off.
  11. "V". Don't know why but I really like that show.
  12. I think we really need to work on expressing ourselves better ... or at least better name calling. I feel like I'm back in middle school. Bredesen's mommas so fat ......... Just kidding guys. He's shown his colors. I don't think anything i could describe him would do justice to the character he revealed behind the facade.
  13. theakforum.net AKfiles.com
  14. Wouldn't matter. Like Russia cares about patent laws from Belgium.
  15. I'm still waiting on my Gerber Covert FAST to arrive via super saver. evidently they ship through FedEx slowest possible delivery to the post office and the PO finally delivers it. 5 days and counting to get from Lexington, KY to Nashville. BTW the knife and Fenix look great!
  16. I found Bredesen's reasoning that stricter laws preserved our rights amusing and absurd. It's the equivalent of me saying that a law against freedom of speech makes it stronger. What an idiot. How do you expand and retain rights by diminishing and taking them away?
  17. With that hat you may need that gun.
  18. Looks pretty darn cool and it's a radical departure from the normal Ruskie stuff. For those who don't speak Russian:
  19. I'm guessing there is a wide difference between what LE will charge as forcible entry and what a court or jury would find to be forcible in a SD shooting. Just my thought.
  20. It is a different line at different ends of the room, but maybe your right about the rest. I still like the first version better though! Way to ruin it for me!
  21. They aren't the same. Different line, different configuration, different location and your full of it. He isn't gesturing he's sticking out his hand for a shake of which they turn to Medvedev. Next you'll tell us he wasn't really bowing in the other videos.
  22. So they shake before the talks and then gets stone walled after..... very interesting.
  23. I think you have the right idea that it is not a good option given most circumstances. It will basically use up any inheritance they would have left before they go. However if they don't have much time and you and the family will be stuck trying to dissolve their assets to pay bills it may be a decent option in this particular circumstance. I would talk to a lawyer who deals with wills etc or a good accountant and let them do the right math.
