  1. Voodoo Tactical has them.
  2. But even an arrest can be detrimental to a lot of people. We live in a day and age where it is the charge not the conviction that carries the intial weight and unfortunately that weight carries a lot of momentum. I can tell you as a Pastor if I were arrested for a DUI (even though I have never had one drink in my life) there wold always be that hung over me. Now that is an extreme example, but many would be in a similar boat. I agree on the second part that when politics gets involved bad things happen. Thanks Serpas.
  3. Problem is that other jobs don't give people criminal records that impact the rest of their life. Sounds like a good argument but they are worlds apart. It's like equating the presidents job with the guy who runs the Mapco on the corner. As for the rest if you can't do you job of a LEO without quotas, you don't need to be a LE. Not having "anything to do" should be the goal of the job not the exception. It's like in private security. The less that happens the better you are doing.
  4. It won't after the veto, right?
  5. Same thing for me on my first 2 XD9's. Best thing that helped me was learning how to use the reset technique. Meaning Keep the trigger pressed after the first shot till you are back on target then let it out just enough to reset then pull again. It will keep you from over fingering the trigger. However, it will speed you up quite a bit. I also had trigger jobs from Springer and the Powder River drop-ins that made a big difference as well on the reset.
  6. If you want to bump up the finish a little send it to this guy. He does good work and it's only $30. slideoffer Here's the one I had.

    Car Guys!

I take it you know the guy?
  8. It's really easy now. Anything with the words or just the circle slash is a no-go. I think it's the proverbial two forward one back. I just hope the next to forward address this.

    Car Guys!

These showed up at work tonight. Sorry for the crappy pics, but it's all I had. All three are owned by Indian doctors living in Kentucky. Tell me the American dream is dead. BTW - Drivers: middle aged balding guys Passengers: tall, hot wives. Who'd have thunk it! Don't know my cars , but this was a Mercedes V12?

    Ruger LCR KaBoom

    That can't be good.
  11. Those are beautiful!
  12. He has a GED and a little college credit. He isn't too picky. Is there a recruiter or someone you would suggest he talk too. On paper he maybe not the best, but he is a (as Blubbering Biden would say) a clean cut articulate black man. Works hard and is great shape. Street smart kinda guy.
  13. NEVER plead to something if you are innocent. I have seen it backfire too many times with folks thinking it will make life easier. It usually does not. Unless you're guilty.
  14. I'm embarrassed to say I like that show and the fact it runs for several hours on several different channels doesn't help. i like tvland.com for "3rd Rock from The Sun" for the same reason. Simple good humor.

    Glock getting sold?

I won't believe it till I hear it from a Glock rep at a gun store.
  16. I know we have some here, but I can't remember who you are ATM. I got a good friend who is looking to enlist and needs some info. He has a GED with AFROTC. Any suggestions?
  17. I'd be willing to bet an AK is more accurate than you can shoot. Ammo is the main issue with AK accuracy. I again say get the Centerfire AK74 or the Hi-Point are the ways to go for pure fun.
  18. None that I have been too. That includes Rivergate, Antioch Pike, and the Franklin Rd store.
  19. Character matters. Especially in a job where it separates public servant from criminal. You really don't think a guy who cheats, steals, and lies to his own wife and family would be completely honest and forthright in his dealings with people he cares nothing about? You do realize infidelity is one of the leading causes for murder. Especially when it involves LE.
  20. I really liked the CRKT M16 I had, but it got lost in a motorcycle wreck. Now the best would be the new Gerber Covert FAST I recently bought. The other I have would be the custom knife built by Vic Wison. Thing is beautiful.
  21. I don't think you are remembering all the details of getting that VW plant or the Nissan plants. Huge payouts and complete loss of tax revenue that doesn't stay in TN. He sold his sole to have a political bragging right. It's the equivalent of buying a 35k Hummer to delver meals on wheels. Glad we got the jobs, but financially it did not make TN better. There were better ways of going about that.
  22. Unions were temporary market corrections that have lost most of their use. However, like many of the Democrats operatives, they have been copoted to be used as political strong men for the party and serve little to no purpose for those they purport to serve, ala Civil Rights, Education, etc. Most unions could go away and the market and workers would be much better off. Just ask the auto industry or the obvious to us all the education system.
  23. They were both pretty good. The first guy is probably the fat kid in the army gear splashed around the interweb and the second guy was just funny.
  24. dave, i agree with disgust for BoA, but to excuse what the union thuggery was doing as justified is exactly the same rationale Che used to murder countless people. After all they were part of the corrupt opprressive capitalist pig. After all, had they had to drag his kid out of their house and beat him to get the bankers attention it was the banker who created their pain. Right?
