NO. IMHO. While I don't buy the broken back SOB skeptics on most issues, I do for riding. When I rode before (and if my wife will let me ride again;)) I carried off body in a Maxpedition style bag with the holster already on my hip. When I got off I would transition or leave it in the bag depending on the place I was going. After my wreck, I am especially sensitive to what can happen with a gun on the hip. Had I been wearing mine in the holster when I was hit it would have broken my hip, damaged the gun, and probably been lying loose unsecured on the road. Since it was in my bag it was undamaged, accessible, and still concealed while all the crowd/LE/EMT's was around. Just a thought. I would also consider shoulder holsters, if you can wear the right clothing with it.

Might want to check their lead times. There is a fairly long wait 70-75 days, which seems extremely long for a kydex holster. while I don't have one this company is making a similar one with a few differences that cost less and is available. I'm seriously considering it over the Raven for availability, price, and the owner has showed me great customer service with my inquiries. Kydex Holsters by NTAC

True but other precedent are often used to interpret uncharted territory and there is a very LONG list of precedent if there ever were a test case. Again, it doesn't matter to me but some folks get all worked up about the letter of the law and forget their is a whole other side called application. Application tends to be much more broad and few have the resources to push the law back to the letter in small cases as this would be.

Argue the letter all you want. I carry in those places, but I'm not under the misguided premise that the letter of the law will defend me. We are talking about a very specific niche, being restaurant patios/deck ect., and I can tell you as a person who's family owns a place downtown with just such accommodations and who has dealt with the police in downtown Nashville on numerous occasions about these issues (sans gun related ones) I will tell you, LE sees them no different. You will more than likely have to argue your case in a court of law where I believe you will find very little sympathy or lenience. Now it will probably bee seen different in Brentwood, Gallatin, etc. but in downtown Nashville that is how I believe it would be enforced. Just saying.

Absolutely agree, however Obama has taken a few eyebrow raising "true" vactions that few others have. It's kinda puzzling to me. That being said I see this issue as the zoo moneys throwing poo at each other.

Not sure about that, but we have had more than few vagrants and others hauled off for other offenses in our courtyard downtown. Again the weapons issue is a little different but most LE we've encountered interpret it that way and I don't see it being too much of a stretch for this issue to be much different. There is a difference between the letter of the law and the one that's enforced.

Not exactly. The ABC considers patios/decks part of the confines of the restaurant, whether enclosed or not, for licensing purposes as does insurance etc. Codes and other city governing agencies also consider them part of the confines of the restaurant when inspecting or administering the law. LE also considers them within the confines (at least downtown) when enforcing trespassing, public intoxication, ect. I doubt in court that this one exception would be seen differently in the interpretation.

I agree it's a nitpick point, but it was a non-issue with Bush because, well ..... it was a non issue. If you check most of Bush's so-called vacations (only called that recently when trying to defend Obama BTW) were to Camp David or Crawford. On those trips nearly all of them were in conjunction with government officials, other foreign dignitaries, or meetings. Clinton did the same thing, but (gasp) were treated as diplomatic trips as opposed to vacations. Again I agree there are far more important Obama problems than this, but it is indicative of his narcissism.

I don't think using the Annenburg's project factcheck.org is the most reliable source. The problem is Obama calls them one thing while he's doing another. Kinda like all those CEO's who claim golf outing as work trips.

First, the only arresting powers they have is a citizen arrest for observed felonies (same as anyone) even a license guard is limited to this law. If they were licensed guards they would have known that. Secondly policies are not laws and as such are only enforcible if a person refuses to comply with legal policies. If they refuse, the police would have to be called for disorderly conduct. If they physically detain a person, except for an observed felony, THEY should be charged with kidnapping/criminal detainment. Again all basics in the guard license course. If they forcibly put their hands on you except in self defense it is assault. These idiots are treading on thin ice and sound like it's about to break. I guarantee you they will be very surprised when they land in jail.

Who could've seen this coming? Maybe if we just act like it's not there and tell people it's actually opposite of what's really happening it will all go away.
