That's a shame about the lever. My only grip with the FNP's were the flimsy feeling levers. I had high hopes taking cues from the well received FNP45 would have fixed that. Not that i ever read any problems with either lever design, but the cheap feeling bent metal levers of the FNP just weren't confidence inspiring. I still want to handle one a bit before I decide against it.
  2. I guess you'd be in favor of the Russian Spatnaz escorting Mexican illegals across our border as well, huh?

    NRA...WTF??

Great reasons to not support the only effective means of making our voices heard on 2A. No wonder we have a hard time holding the ground we've made.
  4. Mine just expired. Got it in 2000 to travel overseas.

I had one and loved it. Only reason I sold it was I was not fond of the DA/SA platform. Even though the trigger was the nicest I had shot in DA/SA. However, I do have a hankering for the new FNX9. I was going to get the USG version, but I much prefer the safety lever design of the FNX line.
  6. Just goes to show you nothing is original. The details may change but people do not.
  7. I would say yes an no. Yes it is a federal ID card in the fact that it is recognized as a Federal identification, but it is maintained and overseen by the state. Since the state controls it 100% it is not what you would technically call a federal ID.
  8. My Grandfathers Savage 30-30 bolt and my dad's Marlin .22 lever action.

If I'm not mistaken C&L adds pressure to the safety when it is engaged and holds it much more firmly.
  10. I keep mine behind my DL. I don't think anyone has ever seen it.
  11. Might even be better the way airlines loose luggage and charge you for it these days!
  12. Just an option, but you could UPS/FedEx your gun to yourself at the hotel. Since it isn't "transferring" ownership there aren't any FFL issues to deal with. As far as ATF there isn't any issues with shipping it either. Now I wouldn't give any more details than necessary about what you are sending, but it may be an option. Not much different and probably safer than flying with it.
  13. Can't speak to the handgun issue, but you will enjoy Key Largo. We were in Ft' Lauderdale for our honeymoon and traveled down to snorkel on the reef. Beautiful. Also take a trip in the mangrove forest. Every time I've been we've seen manatees, dolphins, and all sorts of other cool stuff. We ate at a place called the Italian Fisherman that was really good and had a beautiful deck seating that if you time right you can watch a beautiful sunset while at dinner. Key West is neat to see, but bear in mind it is the homosexual capital of weird. There's some crazy stuff going on down there.
  14. IIRC it is also the .45 that can bend in flight to curve around objects to hit the inteded target. At least that's what some highly trained assassins told me.
  15. Actually the most intelligent thing I've have ever heard her say. Unfortunately she obviously has no grasp on the totality of "The Word" and it's application ..... I guess that's the problem with most liberals. The get so close yet are SOOOO far away! :D.
  16. Yeah, but you gotta wade through literally hundreds of post to get any info.
  17. The more of these I watch of these folks, the less I'm surprised at some of the absolutely stupid legislation we have. Do they even read ahead what they are working on?
  18. Actually it hasn't for some time now.
  19. He didn't appreciate her extreme beauty.

    "Good" Entry 1911

Not sure what the model numbers are but the Taurus with the rails are the newest incarnation. Centerfiresystems.com has some great deals on RIA. I especially like the Tactical versions as well as the two tone. Centerfire Systems - 1911

    "Good" Entry 1911

RIA is the way to go. I also like the Taurus 1911.
  22. Anyone know about this guy or his organization? From what I've read about him ... I like it, I like it a lot! Where I work (across from the Hermitage Hotel) this group of old salty bikers pulled up followed by a couple support vehicles with their name on it. Evidently they go into the war zones in the Sudan and rescue children who would otherwise be abducted to fight for the LRA. Machine Gun Preacher Angels of East Africa
  23. "Power through population" may be working. California has lost it ...officially.
