  1. We got your point, just think you might need to get some Midol. Seriously though, I spent 16 years in Memphis and if there was something to get offended by this isn't it.
  2. I have a feeling you won't like the ergos of the Glock with your background. It takes some getting used to getting a hang of their odd grip angle. Of course some don't have a problem transitioning. There are some good hammer fired guns available that can fill the same niche. Sigs, H&K's, CZ P07, and the FN FNX9 would all be excellent choices. You may also want to try the M&P line or the XD line as well.
  3. I think it was simply for area reference. Hardly anyone knows Como, MS and since most of the crowd draw is Memphis I'd consider it appropriate.
  4. ETA is early next week as far as I know. You can pm drcoffee here. He is making them.
  5. Got 270 rounds through drcoffee's soon to be released Neu-Trigger today and I will just say it was a pleasure. It is a simple $25 (shipped) drop-in part that makes a world of difference for the STG, AUG, TPD, etc. All you do take out the trigger pack and install. No further breakdown is needed. It also does not alter any parts permanently so it is 100% reversible and transferable if necessary. While the weight certainly felt less, the take up, reset, and break were VAST improvements over the stock trigger. The stock trigger play is now gone. No more take-up, very clean crisp break and minimal reset. Pull feels lighter but I have no way to measure. It could be the overall improvements that make it feel lighter. Not one single problem shooting Wolf 55g ammo. I figured I'd stick with my budget stuff thinking if it works with this it will work with anything. I did rapid firing sequences as well as three round groups and then single shots (@ 100 yards.) for accuracy. I really noticed the trigger improvements on the rapid sequences and the single shots. During the rapid mag dumps the minimal reset and lack of pre-travel really shined and made the gun incredibly faster on follow up shots than the stock trigger. On the single/accuracy shots the non-existent take up and very crisp break made it easy to put shots were I intended. I only wish I had calipers to test the before and after measurements. Either way the "feel" and performance is much improved.
  6. While I think the current layout looks really good, this is a good idea.
  7. I'm just curious what kinda events we are planning for with gun ports and seeding fields If it's that bad, seeding food plots is going to be difficult at best if they aren't already there. You're talking about having enough reserves to last several months until a harvest ...at best. Then you have to produce enough to get through till the next seasonal crop and hope all the other growing factors are in place. We haven't even talked about winter, water issues, soil quality, or the difficulty process of land preparation. IMO if you don't already have a pretty decent garden with mature plants that you know will produce and have been producing or very large food reserves to last a year or more, seeds are going to be a lot of work with little benefit over that time period. Only saving grace would be being able to hunt till food plots produce, but at that point you are no longer mobile and everyone else will be hunting the same areas. Just my thoughts.

eh, it's alright on my Nokia E71. It only shows the forums list when I open it, so i have to navigate a lot more to find the new posts. I personally like using Opera on my phone even though it is a bit slower.
  9. Just noticed there is something called ITrader in my profile page, but it says it is closed. Is this something that will be used in place of the +1 system?
  10. Haha, no need for that. Only that one part was addressed specifically to you.
  11. No they aren't and it is simple. It doesn't fit their agenda. They 100% pushed Obama's election and now can only loose what little credibility they have left with his demise. We are no longer in an age of domestic politics where we battle for ideas within the same realm of general understanding. We have entered full fledged into the world of ideology. It is the same struggle as in WWI, WWII, and the Cold War. The only difference is that now it is purely domestic. I am reminded how we continue to get the leaders we have when there are those that voluntarily choose to close their eyes to the reality around them, simply to not be bothered with making difficult and hard decisions. Remember as Rome crumbled the mobs cheered in delirious oblivion at the Coliseums. I find it interesting that you continually mitigate the Obama agenda while calling out conservative issues as over the top. Maybe next you can take up defending Carter's administration There is no such thing as a liberal conservative. Sooner or later they realize it's like calling themselves an atheist Christian.
  12. Do they not think these things through or just think it won't matter? I can't tell if they are inept or to arrogant to car.
  13. Not sure how different it is than any other finish using molybdenum type finishes or Teflon finishes. Although, I wouldn't say they don't need ANY lube but a lot less and a lot less often.
  14. Even if it did happen in the future, it would still have to be ratified by Congress.
  15. Thanks . 200 yrds, 100 with a 16 yrd old in tow is a heck of a swim for a guy in full clothes! Nice job. Not really sure what "snakes" had to do with the story, but OK.
  16. I can't say ATM ... They're watching.
  17. If you are trying to get a match accuracy type rifle, it seems decent. If you are just wanting a good AR, there are better deals out there. IMO if I were getting a match type rifle, I wouldn't be getting a wylde chamber or a fixed carry handle upper. Kind of defeats the purpose of all the other tweaks. Bottom line for me .... PASS.
  18. I find it humorous that the only argument they can come up with against these kind of measures is racism. It can't be legality, constitutionality, or democracy in play. It has to be racism!
  19. I've had a couple Walther P99QA's, several Glock's, XD's, and currently carry my second M&P9. The QA trigger is rather heavy and long compared to the M&P. The reset is also noticeably different longer. The QA is more a true DA feel where the M&P/Glock is more single action feeling. This is probably the reason it was much easier to shoot the Glock's. There are some spring changes you can do to the 99QA, but you usually end up having light primer strike issues. There is also no way to fix the reset. While I really like the Walther P99 series, it is a European gun made with a Euro trigger. I will say that the Walther versions are MUCH smoother than the S&W 99's. I know they are supposed to be the same, but they are not. Also, getting a few hundred round through the gun will greatly improve the trigger. They need a lot of shooting to smooth out to their best potential. As far as gunsmith work on the 99, good luck. The linkage is fairly complex and I don't know of any who will work on it or can work on it.
  20. I like flashlights, but WOW you guys got a LOT of money in those things! I've gotten into building my own with dealextreme stuff. Same guts as those higher ends, but I can make what i want and not spend a fortune. I've had good luck with them. I've got several of these. Not flashy, but they work as well as any Surefire I've ever seen.
  21. wouldn't be a very even split. . Besides, it would give us a chance to fix Kali, NY, and Illinois all at once.
  22. I have notice that when I resize my browser that pictures tend to stay a certain size and overflow out of the window.
  23. It is clearer than ever why our forefathers thought only land owning head of households should vote. How different a country we'd be.

    Futurama

I really like that show. However it got a little weird when the episodes turned into mini-series type things.
