  1. I've only read positive reviews of them. For the money, I would personally get a .223 upper or one of the S&W M&P AR's that CDNN is selling for $599.
  2. I think this sums his "piece" up nicely. These are the same people who think it is a good thing to rack up 100k in student loans for a 40K job. If you don't produce more than you use you can not be sustained. That is true for all levels.

    POF-USA?

    Everything has it's season

    POF-USA?

Yeah it definitely needs rail covers. It's not the MMR version. Guy i got it from said he had bought it from POF a year ago and it has the older FH. Can you change barrels on them your self or is it something that has to be done at the factory? Will they take standard AR barrels? I know everything is user removable, but I couldn't find info on whether the gas port is a standard AR port or different for the POF system. I'd really like a 6.8 barrel! BTW - you're .308 is SWEET!
  6. Now don't go ningy chopping nobody that don't need ningy chopping. Haha!
  7. So you're voting for McWherter. Genius! I'm not thrilled with Haslam even though I have some family connections. He's too much of a politician, a Republican Bredesen IMO. That being said, he is far and away a better choice than McWherter.
  8. Nah, he went to the mothership with Louis Farrakhan.

    POF-USA?

Due to recent home repair issues I listed my MSAR STG556 with an E4 stock for sale. Got an interesting offer for a fairly new (300 rnds) POF-USA 416 upper on a Double Star lower that included a CMMG .22 conversion bolt and mag. Well, I traded figuring I could sale or part out the POF easier and for more than I could have with the STG. Picked it up Friday and I gotta say I'm impressed with the POF. Thing is well made and the concept seems really solid. I've read a little about them, but wanted to hear feedback from folks who might own one or have tips or tricks to maximize the platform. Any hints on .22 ammo for the conversion? being that insurance came back surprisingly higher than expected I may keep this one. Although I am going to miss the MSAR. Here is a picture (not my picture)
  10. POF 16" upper DS lower .... 7.8 lbs empty and no optic.
  11. Those who try to break even on upgrades will usually find the road difficult. Those you pretty much eat the cost on unless they are something specifically in demand or special. Much like anything else you sell used.
  12. Tru-glo TFO's are by far the best thing out there. They are fiber optic and tritium. They are super bright during the day and night. If you get the contrasting colors, they are even easier to pick up.
  13. An Uzi carbine is a lot of fun, accurate, and shoots 9mm. IMI's or Vectors's will run around 1k, but you can find Norinco clones for $450-$600. I had one (Norinco) and it was a great carbine that made an excellent HD gun. Plus if you ever get the itch you can get it SBR'd and have a great compact fun/defense weapon. Just a thought.
  14. Well, they can't ask anything. Can't ask about immigration status.
  15. Is this TGO's own David Yancy endorsing Tactical Response? Obviously not, but when the video cam up it took me a few minutes to figure out what was going on. A whole series of bubba and his Wasr celebrating TR using TGO. hahaha.
  16. Unless they are idiots and show cause. It's happened before. BTW - i liked the "sent from" tag!
  17. I would keep silent and obey their policy. It seem pretty clear that you can with an HCP. The question remains if that was what they meant. Clarification can only take away any legal recourse down the road.
  18. That's is absolutely hilarious!..... in a dark Tosh.O kinda way.
  19. It's not payback. If anything they are owed. You don't get much more Democrat and leftist liberal than these two. I think they have some serious issues and are trying to clear them out to avoid the labels in the elections.
  20. Yeah, he shouldn't have been so aggressive. I can see the spin now. Some how he will be the bad guy.
  21. Maybe he is a relative of the magical flute maker.
  22. Primary Arms seem like the way to go for the low end. I have the Vortex SPARC and LOVE it. It doesn't wash out, auto offs, and has 3 different mounts so you can lower 3rd/cowitness/or mount it really low. It is also NV compatible which I can see ever practically using There is a a couple reviews and videos where the SPARC "torture" tested and it never missed a lick. Guy even threw it all over the range and it didn't stop. It also comes with a doubler. They run $189 these days. They are also compatible with all Aimpoint micro mounts.

    Next EDC poll.

So I have time to think about what gun to get for my next EDC, so give me you opinions. I prefer a full size or mid size with a low bore axis. Of the ones listed I have owned, carried, and liked all except the SR9 but I like it from handling it in the store. I've had a regular FNP but not the FNX. Glocks are not listed for a reason, although I've had three at different times and I've liked the 3 XD's I've had but the higher bore axis just doesn't work as well for me. FNX9 - LOVE the looks (two tone), feel, ergos, and ability of C&L. Hammer is a big plus. M&P9 - Really like the two of these I've had although the triggers can be iffy. SR9 - feels and looks good (two tone) but some of the initial quality issues/recalls are of concern. As well as the reported less than stellar trigger. Walther P99 - great ergos but too pricey new.
