    Dangerous Dogs

Yes, some Pits are raised for fighting, more than most, but there is a reason for that. Pits may not bite more than other breeds but when they do there is usually massive damage or death. Add to that they do bite a lot and it is a recipe for disaster.
  2. I'll do my best to be there with my wife. I've got 3 guns I haven't got to shoot yet and I need to put them through their paces!

    Denied Purchase

I just recently had a lady denied when I ran the check and we faxed the appeal. A couple hours later the TICS screen suddenly had her approved and didn't show that a denial had been issued. Needless to say the boss called and they said it should have been delayed due to waiting on another agency. Weird. I also know another guy who got denied because of a traffic violation from 10 years prior where the paperwork where the court had dismissed it never got filed. It got cleared on appeal within the 15 day limit. With all the identity fraud going on these days I expect to see this more frequently. While not a firearm purchase, once my mom had to go down to the jail in Memphis for about 4 hours in cuffs, while they determined the many warrants in her name where not actually her. Turns out in Memphis there were a lot of Sharon Smith's with a lot of warrants. funny thing is my mom is about as straight laced, squeaky clean, preachers wife as they come. LOL
  4. I'll play. I'm Nathan and this is me and my family.
  5. I get to look at them everyday! They are built to shoot and are absolutely beautiful. I also know where a even nicer Chad Kandros Custom Commander resides ... right next to these two beauties! Chad does incredible work.

    Lay-a-way Plan

D&T Arms in Goodletsville does layaway and since someone asked about terms, it's 60 days with half-down. There are no fees or interest as long as it's completed within the 90 days. There is a 25% re-stocking fee for canceled layaways. It is actually a pretty popular plan for folks around here. A lot of folks have been reserving their Christmas presents this way.
  7. I agree with his philosophy but find it somewhat misplaced in regard to the Glock. If anything the Glock is the most Hollywood gun of them all!
  8. Like this? It's in German but you will get the picture. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nyq90LEZe4k
  9. I absolutely love these. They have none of the drawbacks of muffs (hot, uncomfortable, big, heavy ect. ) and yet have a better protection rating (26-31 db) than most muffs (24-25 db) and still allow easy conversation without electronics that could fail or the annoying echo. I tried them thinking they were a gimmick, but they are anything but. ZEM Hearing Protection - SensGard or the Allen Sound Sensor Hearing Protection - Allen Sound Sensor Shooting Hearing Protection
  10. Folding stocks are a non-issue (on rifles). ATF measures with the stock extended, so as long as it is 26" with the stock extended you're fine.
  11. What's with the hijacker and his side ways mask? Is this the new pirate look?
  12. It's called CHMR now and here is the website CHMR It is indeed in buisness and worth the drive.
  13. To build you will need to be able to weld, heat treat, have a proper bending jig, some specialty tools, and a rivet tool. If you want to build one this guy has some tools to make it easier. Toth Tool & Engineering, LLC However, with all the money that setup tools cost you would have to build several rifles to make it worth the cost. The only underfolder available is the Yugo AK. They are great rifles and won't cost a fortune. If you want to do some fabrication and customization with out building from a parts kit, get a Saiga and convert it. That will take all the hard expensive stuff out and still let you customize it the way you want it and you can do it all with a Dremel and a drill. As for folding stock the Ace skeleton folder with the internal block can't be beat. Like this
  14. I know someone who has plans in the coming future (a few years) to have an awesome range complete with 100 yrd rifle all indoors here in Nashville!
  15. Jesse Ventura is the right's equivalent of Code -Pink. He can be brilliant and completely ignorant in the same sentence. I will say, he at least believes what he says unlike the Fox guy who got caught in a moment of emotional responses. Jesse reminds me of an old guy I used to know. He knew nothing yet had an answer for everything and there was no reasoning with him once his mind was set.
  16. I loved the POF I had briefly and will probably get the Adams for my current AR at some point. Just makes sense. Thanks for sharing. You will want to clean off the carbon from around the gas block every now and then or it will build little carbon mountains. Doesn't affect function, but it just looks bad. I would also suggest picking up the POF roller cam pin. POF-USA Patriot Ordnance Factory, Inc.
  17. There is a already a thread where the importer has been posting complete with pics and comparisons of the Caracal. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/handguns/20643-uae-caracal-pistols.html
  18. It can be a good thing, but you have to stay on top of things and document everything. Make sure you keep enough cash on hand to repair anything necessary. Make regular visits (at least once a month) and keep a log. The law tends to hold landlords to the letter of the law and shows grace to tenants. The theory is the LL is able to financially able to repair but the tenants are put in a position of jeopardy since they can only rent to begin with and are assumed to be at a disadvantage from the start.
  19. I should say that particular Judge was very liberal and it was very clear that any landlord was a slumlord in her mind. My dad figuered suing would just cost him more and he would never get anything out of her.
  20. That would seem fair but I can tell you, just as with Strickj's experience, laws are HEAVILY favored to the renters and are anything but fair .... to landlords. And yes, landlords are often expected to carry 90% of the responsibility and liability for idiot renters lack of responsibility. My dad had a renter in Memphis (section 8) that he couldn't evict even though the renter was 5 months in the rear. Not to mention she had decided to open a salon in the house and had her boyfriend start ripping out walls and cobbling together plumbing and electrical for the "salon". Of course they didn't finish and then refused to pay rent because the plumbing and electrical were now not up to code. The judge wouldn't allow my father to speak at the eviction hearing and gave her another 6 months and required my dad to pay code violation fines (for her work). Needless to say that was the last of his renting property endeavors.
  21. No offense Willis but I hate when folks spew that out. It's like when ugly women say it's only personality that matter. Overpaying guarantees nothing, just ask a lot of Kimber owners.
  22. Dogs are cool with great names. However, the daggers over the bead are a little freaky!
  23. This guy is doing some pretty cool mods. I can do mods to the M17S - USAaug.com Discussion Forums

    pt 609 vs 709

The 609 is the older Millennium double stack subcompact. It is considerably wider than the 709. The 709 is very slim, more along the lines of a Kel-Tec PF9 where the 609 is more along the lines of a Glock 26 or XDSC
