  1. Just sent mine off about 3 weeks ago. I did get the letter saying it would extend my permit. If I hear something soon I'll update it hear.
  2. Trying to build the Tavor?
  3. Of course you do! J/K You come off fine. I've always thought of you as a friendly kinda guy.
  4. Would appear to be a Saiga conversion and a well done one at that. Did you do the front end work yourself?

    SR9 Range Report!

First thing I did when I got it home was take that thing out and clean it. It never went back in.
  6. All Hallows Eve, jack o' lanterns, spirit evocation, even trick or treating is very clearly identified and traced back in history through the druids rituals. It's lineage is probably clearest of any other holiday. What similarities they share is coincidental and not something to damn church's for hypocrisy with. There is plenty of that in other more important areas.
  7. Harvest festivals were not pagan in nature, but were part of pagan cultures where it existed as well as every other society. Every agrarian society celebrated harvest time according to their particular religion or culture. It meant they were thankful they would make it a little while longer. Halloween was purely a druid/dark magic ritual to solicit the spirits of the dead. Not exactly the same.
  8. Very true. If you are going to be consitent they are all rooted in traditionalism and paganism. That being said, make decisions based on what is right and not reactions to or against others errors.
  9. Nice find. Had a guy come in the shop last week and said he picked up one of these for $50 at a garage sale!
  10. Interesting. In the Fobus and Serpa we tried it wouldn't work.
  11. That's hardly fact. Take into account that it is a heavily studied filed of the above mentioned fileds of study and you make my point. As to the second part, just becasue I may be born with a natural penchant for stealing (ie) doesn't mean I'm not held accountable for my choices. Somehow I don't see the judge buying that argument.
  12. I've not served , but IMO all these post are way off point. The morality issue aside, open gays in the military is the same issue as women in combat. Turinging hard edge, task focused, on the limit, soldiers into enlisted men/women making sure they are culturaly relevant and politically correct to something that does not further the goal and aim of the military is the problem. This is why we will struggle to win wars from now on. We try to fight without offending anyone. Hasn't worked in Vietnam, Afgahnistan, Balkans, Iraq, ............. and it won't work within our own military. and yes Homosexuality is in fact is a perversion. You can't logically argue it any otherway. Choosing to go against the very nature of your being to be something that is the opposite of what you are is a perversion. This hold true for anything that fits in that category. and before we start with the "hate", "narrow minded", "ignorant" name stuff argue logic and facts in regards to the military not San Franciso emotionalism.
  13. I think he all ready made it clear he doesn't support socialism/populism.
  14. Looks like Rio to me!
  15. No. The SR40 slide is wider and a bit taller.

    SR9 Range Report!

Haha! Maybe, but it is good stuff. Plus like it says, what AG is really going to argue malicious intent while claiming I used deadly and ferocious Blue Bunny as my carry ammo!
  17. What in the world ......???? As to the OP +1 as to the rest of it, are you serious?
  18. Haha! Guess I need to step up to a real caliber then ..... like a 458 SOCOM.
  19. Yep, I'm no AR snob!

    SR9 Range Report!

Wayne the Compact's are the "Gen 4" of the SR9. The full size was the guinea pig and it appears all the quirks have been worked out.

    SR9 Range Report!

Definitley feels like something that will smooth out, but I don't think it will get where I want it without the Ghost mod. I will say that of all the SR9c's I've tried, their triggers are much better than the full size. Supposedly they are the same but the compacts have always been better OTB.
  22. Well, finally got to the range to try out the SR9 and I indeed like this gun. Accuracy at all ranges was excellent. Ran 250+ rounds of mixed Speer Lawman 115g, Wolf 115g, Federal HST 124g+p, and Blue Bunny 124g +p+. No problems at all. Everything feed great and there were no malfunctions of any kind. Sights are very easy to pick up and even though they are adjustable, they were spot on. The trigger was OK. Reset was minimal and break was clean but hard. There is a little take up and then a hard break with creep. There is a noticeable click when the trigger reset which is good, but it almost hangs right before the reset. Similar to the pull. Kinda like a hard Glock trigger. I will definitely be adding the Ghost trigger mod. With a lightened trigger I think I will really like this gun as long as it doesn't get mushy. It needs more breaking in and I'm looking forward to giving it what it needs.
  23. There's stacks of all kinds of targets in the little building about midway down the range. There is also extra hearing and eye protection.
  24. Don't know about the private side, but the main range is laid out fairly simply. Everything is under roof with benches for the 100 yrd side and smaller becnhs for the rest of the range. There are fixed target stands and everything is provided. Half the range is 25 yrds with the 50 behind it and the other half is 100 yrd. Targets (lots and varied), staplers, range scopes, rest, ect are all provided. Granted they aren't the best but they are provided and workable. Charlie even brings a cooler out and puts bottled water in it during the hot days. Great place.
  25. I like putting the Blackhawk /Knoxx Spec Ops stocks on mine. Takes 85-95% of the felt recoil out and is adjustable. Both things are great, especially for women and those who want to practice without bruising themselves. SpecOps Adjustable Shotgun Stock - BLACKHAWK!
