  1. Wow! A lot of broad assumptions there. The topic was Tom Delay and in regard to Tom delay the charges and circumstance of the trial are suspect at best. Funny how you mock those that would dare defend a "corrupt" politician while failing to realize it is corrupt politicians you are defending in order to uphold that view.
  2. I had a lady stay in pending for over 4 hours before they finally approved it. Definitely appeal. It may be something as simple as a name issue.
  3. I think it is very easy to just take the headlines are run with it but it is never that easy or simple. I'm against any corruption but I'm not going to let my emotions and prejudices interfere with my rational ability to look at the details before shooting the messenger. Kind like the "Darwin" thread where folks made fun of the dead kid only to find out there might be more to the story. Political cynicism is healthy ONLY if it is tempered with restraint absent emotionalism. Other wise we will end up with another French Revolution. Not good.
  4. There were MASSIVE TICS issues today but not with denials. They would just stay in "Pending" status. Don't know about the denial, but all but one of the denials we have appealed have been overturned.
  5. Stab him first to slow him down and then at the same time shot him to finish the job. While he is still on the "shish kabob", the flame will quick cook the meat.
  6. D&T Arms in Goodlettsville. 805 Rivergate Parkway. They are vendors here. http://dandtarms.net/SALESandCOUPONS.html
  7. D&T is having a big Springfield sale, that includes used SA guns. There will also be select items on sale throughout the store.
  8. Music Downloads, MP3 Downloads, MP3 songs at www.mp3fiesta.com Cheapest thing I've found.
  9. Now granted I haven't followed this lately, but the original charges were not in law at the time he was accused and the original prosecutor was as corrupt as any person he had prosecuted. That being said, there could have been some new charges filed but I'm pretty sure it was the same ones. Don't let your political cynicism cloud your eyes to the facts.
  10. Keep in mind that at the time, donations were allowed to made in the manner he took them. The law changed after the fact and then they decided to press charges after the law changed when Delay was at the height of his power in the House. Not saying what he did was good, but there was a lot of politics in this trial.
  11. Saiga converted AK. LOVE that thing! With the AK, I find myself enjoying the simplicity of shooting more instead of worrying about proper technique and perfect sight picture, ect. The irony is I usually end up shooting it pretty good. I guess it's kinda like Golf, the harder you try the worse you play.
  12. CZ's are definitely underrated. I've had the P07 and is was a great gun, the 75's are legendary. I also think the Ruger SR9 is a pretty underrated gun. Great gun for the value.

    Profiling

Both Muslim and warning flags were there that would have prevented their actions if profiling had taken place. Just saying.
  14. In all the years he's been there he still can't run the standard offense. They have to simply the calls when he's in. Guy needs to grow up or become a tight end, but I doubt he would want to block.
  15. At D&T we have one for $400. 1960 date. looks really good and clean. Everything matches except the mags. I'm not up on my p38 pricing and history, so are there any special markings or stamps that are more important than others?
  16. Does it look like this? Might try here http://www.gunpartscorp.com/catalog/Products.aspx?catid=851
  17. I've debated on every rifle using those VTac modular hand guards. I really like them! Nice rifle.
  18. It's a re-run and we've discussed it before, but the gangs mentioned I am very familiar with. Most of those guys are wannabe's. Not to say they aren't a threat but it is in no way like Detroit, NY, or LA type gang stuff. Gangland gave them much more credit than they deserve.

    Profiling

OK you're now up to 5 Americans, although they aren't on American soil. However, I would still advise you that they fit the profile.

    Profiling

No, you are answering a test that has been proven false. There is no fool proof way to do this, but you can't throw a 95% effective method out the window to use a 100% ineffective, inefficient method that has no statistical evidence to back it up. What we know: profiling would have prevented every attack, even if no other security measures were taken. Profiling is also a much more fluid and cost effective method because it can change instantly to respond to current intel. Machines and search methods have to go through a very slow process to adapt to new intel. The current system has allowed several failed attempts to pass with chance being the only prevention.

    Profiling

Maybe Daniel's just smarter than me, but how exactly is citing the 4 individuals in US history that carried out terrorist attacks over vast periods of time a good statistically proof. This compared to the 226 attacks killing over 1028 people in 2010 alone by Muslims! Guess what? They were all carried out by Muslim terrorist, mainly men between the ages of 18-40. In all the world in 2010, ONE was carried out by some one other than a Muslim man that resulted in one death. Or how bout this, since 9/11 Muslims (mainly men between the ages of 18-40) have carried out more than 16406 terrorist attacks resulting in at least one death. Pattern anyone? EVERY recent attack on the US could have been stopped by properly using simple profiling of above. Why is that such a bad thing? Somebody is going to feel uncomfortable. Why is it that the people least likely to commit the crime are the ones put through the most inconvenience? How is that logical? Scorecard: 2010 - Muslim men between the ages of 18-40 - 16406 seperate deadly attacks 2010 White American men ages 18-60 - 0 All time in America - 3 (Rudolph, McVeigh, Kazinsky) Go ahead and stand by your figures Daniel.
  23. I agree but from a different standpoint. If you think marriage or a contract make a marriage commitment valid then your idea of marriage is way off. Love is an emothion that can ebb and flow .... or dissapear. Commitment does not/should not change with the emotional context of marriage. Commitment is not validated or ensured with legalities, but rather it is the other way around. When I got married it was my word that bonded me to my wife. Not her actions or relationship to me. Not the paper we signed. I said better or worse and that I would never leave her, my word means something and more people should think about that when they say it. If you can't stay through the worse, you won't stay through the best either. Just facts of life. A cermony guarantees nothing, but should mean much more than it does and there was a time when it did. I would rather people stick to their word than have elborate ceromonies that mean little more than a overblown party.
  24. Yeah it does. Just like citizenship means a lot more than being an alien or actually being enlisted in the military carries a lot more weight than just wearing camo and calling yourself SF .
