I like the concept. The inplimentation might be difficult with verification, but i do like where it is going. Most of the real experts i know don't like to be known for their credentials. Seems humilitary and wisdom go hand in hand. Then there are the guys who are "experts" but are also blowhards and while they may have credentials their teaching and information isn't worth much. That's the difficulty I see in that.

Maybe this will help on the Levang. Basically there is a large chamber towards the front end and then the blast is sent through the holes in the front. The Noveske is designed for SBR rifles and helps with the back pressue issues they sometimes have. Similar to the Krink compensator that helps add back pressure. Back end: Front end:

Every rifle will recoil in that manner due to the spin of the bullet as it is coing out. That is why basic compensators (think AK slant brake) are angled in the opposite direction. It is to help balance the sideways push into a more straight line. BTW - a lot of the STG guys have been using the Levang so there is not as much gas in the face. Being so close to the end of the barrel if there is a head wind you can get a lot of blowback.

That's a pretty broad question, but if money is no object the LWRC, LMT, Barret, or Larue are some of the best IMO.

Noveske KX3 or the cheaper version the Levang Comp. I had a Levang on my STG556 and they are pretty neat, but they are really loud out front! They do change the recoil a little. Gives it more of a push than a tilt. Levang: $30 Noveske KX3: $125

D&T beats $319 all day long (around $325 OTD) and we transfer for TGO members for $10. FYI.

We got some of the 9mm XDm SC sitting in the back ATM (D&T Arms). They look and feel really good. I like they left the 3.8 barrel and used the SC grip length. It is much more comfortable than the XDsc IMO and looks A LOT better. They also included in the case two extra mag sleeves for full-size mags. Very cool of Springfield in that regard.

My initial thought before all the hoopla was China. I still think that was probably who it was. Either that or somebody accidentally hit the wrong button! My reason for China is that they are known to run subs in the general areas of the International Zone and have been probing our computer systems for awhile now. Wouldn't surprise me to find out they made a sneak run into a closer area and shot a test missile off. As to the comments about hearing their diesel subs, I'm told from knowledgeable Navy folks that the Diesel subs are quieter than the the big modern nuke subs when running quiet.
