  1. D&T Arms in Goodlettsville! Check out NashvegasMatt's thread on the one he got there. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/handguns/52004-just-got-1911-heres-skinny-beware-56k-pics.html
  2. BTW - put that thing in a Crossbreed and you will find it is not as hard to carry as some think.
  3. Sorry I missed you when you came back Matt, but glad you got something YOU will enjoy. BTW, the wife will enjoy it as well once she shoots it!. If you want to try good mags we keep the Wilson Combat 7 and 8 round mags in the store. Both have the pads on them. Enjoy shooting!
  4. I'm on my 3rd M&P9 right now. The stock triggers can vary from really good to not so good. I've had ones on both ends of the spectrum. The Apex is the way to go irregardless of the stock trigger yours came with. I'm also very fond of the Truglo TFO's on the M&P. The green and yellow contrast are very easy to pick up. All of my M&P's have been very accurate OTB
  5. We can get them for you. Give Dave a call later today ... after I tell him we are now C3 dealers!
  6. It seems the vast majority of Americas agree with you. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2011/01/21/cable-news-ratings-for-thursday-january-20-2011-piers-morgan-gets-little-help-from-ricky-gervais/79685
  7. It's a take off of the notorious H&K add where the mag was loaded backwards. From there it became kinda of an H&K tradition to post H&K pictures with a bullet loaded backwards.
  8. I carry an M&P9 all day everyday (albeit OTB) and it's not too big with the right belt and holster. If you are going to carry IWB, the Crossbreed Supertuck is the way to go. D&T Arms keeps them in stock if you want to see one in person.
  9. So has anyone replied to this thread yet, Titan?
  10. I used the G19 KCI mags and never had any issues. These were made for the Korean military not just for show or export. Now, the 31 rnd mags may be different but I can't imagine them being that much different. Glock snobs hate them, but then again thats why they are Glock snobs! Perfection!
  11. Could have saved a few weeks waiting time and come by D&T Arms to pick one up! (Assuming it's not a lefty) We keep them in stock. You WILL enjoy it!

    PINK GUNS

We've found two kinds of people when it comes to pink guns: Those that love them and those that are offended by them. There doesn't seem to be much middle ground. We have them at the shop but only by request.
  13. That's a slick gun! Only thing I'd add is a C&S extended slide stop. I think it flows the lines of the gun much better. The stock slide stop always looked awkward to me.
  14. If you have to ask you're a yankee.
  15. Really? Pretty easy IMO. Good luck finding a .40 since they will all be used, folks don't part with them very often, and they are getting expensive. Browining indeed felt the Hi-power was what he wanted to design with the 1911, but the military dictated compramises he never wanted. Shoot one and you will love it.
  16. Man! You sound like my wife! I just sold my Explorer and only had 3k to spend on alternate transportation, so this fits the economic bill much better. At least that's what I'm telling the wife!
  17. I came across a great deal on a Yamaha VStar Classic 650 and wanted some feedback from you motorcycle guys in the know. It feels and rides great, but I'm unfamiliar with the shaft drive. Good? Bad? Ugly? Thanks. BTW - I'm looking for a cruizer/commuter with good gas mileage, comfortable, and enough power to not get me killed but no so much I kill myself. Looks like this.
  18. Birdsong Black-T is supposed to be the best out there and the choice of (some) Navy Seals .... according to Birdsong.
  19. That's in regard to carry, right? You can have an 18" pistol (ie Buntline) but could not be able to carry it per TN code. The way I read it in context.
  20. First if he got a conditional proceed then he DID appeal. Conditionals are a response to an appeal of a denial. Second no gun dealer in TN will do a conditional proceed, due to the fact that a conditional proceed means there is info there (or missing) indicating a dis-qualifier where the TBI cannot clear a person but also cannot straight out deny and so put all the liability on the gun store without any further details. Thirdly, on transfers even though the customer has paid for it if he is denied on the background check the firearm is legally the stores it was transferred to. The problem being is that most online stores have a no return policy or 3-10 day inspection period. Since appeals take 15 days by law, they usually miss this window meaning the only place that can keep the gun legally is the transferred to store, in this case Coal Creek. This guy is an idiot who should have had his stuff in order before hand. Another good reason to deal locally unless you are really sure you are clear on the BG.
  21. What are you referring to? BATF defines guns and categories not the state IIRC.
  22. Might also add that the legality question of what is a handgun is defined on the federal level not the state. The state defines where and how which type of weapon can be carried.
  23. Ammo and guns I understand, but most other stuff should be handled in store like any other retailer.
  24. Seraph you holster look really good and I like where you are going, but I just don't think it fits my percularities ATM. I ended up getting the NTAC and it should be here by the end of the month. Not as nice as Seraphs but it rides and fits like I want.
  25. I really like the P99's but the slide serrations on the Q really mess up the lines.
