  1. American Classic (Metro Arms) has one and D&T Arms has it! Minus the FO front sight.
  2. Reread my reply. I said believe what you will about Jesus claims, but as a whole the historical veracity of the scriptures is not disputable. However, To assume that within the accuracy of the whole is a segment completely in contradiction to the greater body of work as pure fantasy is not the most scholarly approach to historical writing credibility.
  3. Are you serious or ignorant? There are numerous historical writings, many by historians during the time that accounted and validate many of the Biblical accounts of events. Not to mention the ever growing archeological findings that grow every year. Believe what you want about Christ claims but the veracity and historical accuracy of the majority of Biblical accounts are not in dispute. Not to mention it is the most sourced and oldest historical writing in antiquity.
  4. You know me far too well! However, I'm going to be keeping this one. Can''t wait to shoot it.
  5. The benefits of working in a gun store! Got a killer deal on a Saiga .308 V21. These baby's are HARD to find and especially for the price Dave (GMC Retired) gave me. Came with four 25 rnd Surefire mags. It also had a cheap Simmons 8 Point scope on it, but I'll probably go anther route. The wood is actually pretty nice. The V21 has the Vepr cut on the back of the receiver, standard AK trigger configuration (no conversion necessary), and uses the heavier RPK receiver. :D:D:D:D
  6. You're almost as bad as the elitist liberals telling us what to think. Quite worrying about the fact that not everyone else is as enlightened as you and can't think for themselves like you do so well. Taking no side and complaining about those that do, is as ignorant as taking the wrong side.
  7. At least you aren't looking for difficult to find guns!
  8. After seeing things you only see in stereotypes of "southern racism" of the 50's on display in modern Idaha, Oreagon, Washington (state), Illionois (Chicago) and New York I fully realize the south is the least racist place in the US.
  9. Whne I had my motorcycle wreck I todl them I had my gun in my bag and the officer asked if I wanted to take it with me or if I wanted him to take it. He said it would be a lot easier for me to take it with me to the hospital and the paramedics said it wasn't any big deal for it to ride in the ambulance. To be honest it was a lot easier than I thought it would be.
  10. On the AK front you can't go wrong with an Arsenal. As far as shotguns go, check out the Remington 887 Nitro Mag. Been playing with it in the store the last few days and it is NICE!
  11. The M&P15OR is just a basic flat top AR. They are all "optics ready".
  12. I've been really impressed with the S&W M&P's that have come through the store. They really seem to stand out compared to the others I've seen.
  13. It is here as well and I hope no one will openly and voluntarily admit to committing a crime on an open forum. That being said, the rule of thumb is this: If the circumstances are such you need to draw your weapon, more than likely a bullet needs to be coming out of the end of it. Otherwise it needs to stay holstered till the threat justifies drawing it.
  14. I have a hard time believeing that. Their website doesn't list any gun from S&W and that is below wholesale by quite a bit. I could see that on used guns or special LE pricing, but not everyday pricing. S&W does have a Military/LE program going that could get it to that point, but nothing else I've ever seen. I'd like to see how you found those prices. If it's true you should grab them up and resale them.
  15. I've been playing with one of the 4" versions in the store and it is about the nicest feeling .45 I've handled. Feels identical in the hand to my 9mm fullsize. Not something many guns can claim. good choice.
  16. Thanks for coming in and no Glockmeister is not affiliated with D&T Arms. He is Goodletsville Gun shop. However, D&T does have RI as well as the American Classic's that IMO are a bit better than the RI for the money.
  17. D&T Arms has Blackhakw Serpa holsters that will fit the PD. They are a little long becasue they are meant for the fullsize Judge, but they do fit nicely. We also have Tagua leather belt holsters designed for the PD.
  18. +1. Their warranty is worth a lot and it is refinished and you know it is right. For another $100 + parts he will do the front end conversion and you're still under $800 for a extremely well built, lifetime warrantied, AK103 conversion. Fuller does excellent work, but he is also nearly always way backed up and charges a bit much for basic work. I found Will back in the day because I didn't want to wait 6+ months for basic front end work that cost twice as much. Not knocking Fuller, it's just I'd rather pay less for equal work that comes with a lifetime warranty and much quicker turnaround time. Sort of. You have to also move the front sight forward or get a FH that is drilled out (ie Dinzag Arms) to cover the extra shoulder of the Saiga. The Saiga's front sight is farther back then a standard AK even when it is threaded.
  19. Lot of top notch info in this thread! Bottom line is this , the legitimate complaints of the GP are weight and balance. Pro's are much cleaner and cooler. All the rest is hearsay, preference, and BS. The military will eventually use a GP system like everyone else, so pick whatever you like. Just don't feel the need to have the military's preference justify your choice.
  20. Saiga's are great. Just be sure to avoid Walmart value ammo. Saiga's are made to run hot Russian ammo and the cheap Walmart "Universal" stuff is incredibly inconsistent and underpowered. Read #4 Tromix Lead Delivery Systems
  21. You sound like you've worked in a gun store before! Mike, things have indeed changed a lot around TGO lately but it's just growing pains. Not all of it is good, it's just part of the process. I remember the first real growth pains early on and it was rather ugly around here for a little bit. A lot of folks disappeared until a medium of understanding was established. A lot of the new folks don't see the community aspect as much as many of us who have been here a while.
  22. Maybe you should make your tag line George Takei's "Oh my!"
  23. While it may be eye openeing to some, it is weighted to make a point. I have consistently lived below the poverty line (according to the government) at points in my life and never used assitance nor considered myself poor. Is it easy? No. Is it ideal? No. I have also worked two or three jobs and been creative with the other stuff. Does it leave little margin for error? Absolutley, just means you have to be on your toes and find a way. America is about FINDING a way. Not someone giving you a car to get there.
  24. As of 3:20 PM there has been 25741 guns sold in TN. Given that number you could sestimate around 3 million dollars a year.
