Scopes and rings are a very importart part of you rifle for long range shooting. Can you get by with a 100 dollar scope, yes.... A higher end scope sure makes it easier to shoot at those distances. That being said if you are going to shoot 300-500 yard with that scope get used to holding over or it will be a real pain to dial in your elevation every time. If this just has crosshaird, holding over can be difficult yet not impossible once you get used to shooting with it. Practice , Practice, Practice.

I have been on the lookout for a Glock 19 2nd gen. Somebody here has to have one they can hook me up with as a great BDAY gift... I have a WTB post out there but that thread seems to get no action at all. I do not care if you are a store or what I really want one and I have the cash to prove it.

I have it pretty light, I do not have a scale but I cranked it down a bit.. maybe 2lbs... i am not sure I listed it but I replaced it with the old style trigger.

Of course Mike, No problem there...

I actually bought the stock on www.snipershide.com. Lots of good stuff on there. Sell it, you never know!

I had my Daughter with me (6 yrs old). Accuracy was nothing to brag about as the last 10 rounds were all rapid fire. I shot 1moa without full concentration as she really does not like being at the range. Total bummer there. The rapid fire was more like 2 moa. When I say rapid, I was cycling very, very fast.

I shoot 168 Sierra MK through it with 43.7 grains of Varget. Shot it today and the recoil is wonderful. Total fix to this rifle... Very nice!

I am preloading the pod but compared to my 26" barrel this thing is harsh. I just wanted to tame her and also have her ready and threaded for a suppressor. No plans at the time to bed. i will see how it shoots and make my decision from there. I do not have my 26" bedded either but it does have pillars and the stock is an A-5. PS.. the rifle is already a sup moa shooter so bedding may help a little but I am pretty happy hitting the target consistant.
-
This rifle has a 20 inch barrel. I find it hops a bit, so to try to smooth it out I had the brake installed. No bedding has been done on this stock.
-
Thanks to all of you. The rifle is a .308 win. I plan to shoot her tomorrow. i will post the results of the brake for sure.

I have this kit also and it is nice. Works by blowback. Get a few stuck on occasion but mine is still pretty new. Anyone have any of these containers for the bolt laying around. I need one bad!
-
There are several ways to attach the knob. I decided to tackle this project with the Dremel a grinder and a die to cut the threads. It took a couple hours as the steel is hard but it turned out pretty good for the first try. The stock did not take any time at all. I bought it from a dealer on the hide. Give me a pm if you want the details.

Darn cold weather, I want to go out and play. I bought the .22 cal conversion for this one. I changed out the front grip for a better one. I want to see what my reloads will do too...
-
I am and I sold that 20" in favor of a 26". Still shooting good groups though. Some times it is the nut behind the bolt not the Gun itself..LOL Yes it is an M&P. Took her out this am and froze but sighted it the Eotech. It is still a smidge off but at 23 degrees I was happy. Shot it out to 300 just fine. I also picked up a new accessory.

Well it was all black when I bought / traded for it. I sold a Rem 700 to a friend and then told him I was looking for an AR in the future. Well he has one so we worked out a trade / buy. I then went to the store and bought the EoTech and all the Earth color accessories except for the sling. I then painted the safe and fire slots on the lower, (I just think that adds to a gun). They did not have the front handle in the color I wanted so that will be a little later. Well, here she is, What do you think?
