It sure is. Sadly, I have to slow down on my building. Although...this may be a good place to start my "paint it camo and beat the crap out of it" build. Decisions decisions

Get this and put it to work on that herters or tulammo steel case! http://www.firearmsforsale.com/arsenal-slr106cr-556x45-blk-16ffs/ Man would I love to, arsenal makes an awesome AK. I've patiently been looking for someone that may be looking to trade AK for AR. I've got a AR pistol that I'd give up for a lower end AK

Unless I'm sorely mistaken, we had the number 1 recruiting class BEFORE the uniform change. Poor point man. I'm sorry, but all the schools you listed have changed uniforms at some point during the "tradition". I see what you were trying to do, it just doesn't play.

I've honestly been looking at AK's just because of x39 pricing lately. Seems there's still some surplus too. I've always wanted one, this just gives me an excuse. Shooting is one of my few hobbies/releases, and I don't intend to stop unless I have to. That being said, I refuse to pay crazy prices for ammo. I realize as with anything prices on ammunition will rise, we can't realistically expect it to stay the same. I've slowed down shooting considerably, but I still shoot at least 50 rounds every couple days, much more on weekends. Luckily, I had plenty of 223, 9mm, and 22lr to allow me to shoot even during the crazy times. Now that ammo is on the (slight) decline, I can pick up some here and there and not feel bad about it. Cabelas had Tula 223 for $4.99 a box the other day with no limit and I loaded up. It's far from good ammo, and not a great price but I'm trying not to stress over ammo, then I'll just shoot more. Vicious cycle, ya know Honestly as everyone else has said...until demand slows down or supply is at surplus level, I doubt we see much more decrease on price

Best owb holster I own came from these guys http://www.kt-mech.com/

I like them. At first I was concerned when I heard about them, but I think they look great. With the number 1 recruiting class, the future looks bright. ETA: I love this picture

Man I'm jealous. I've been building a dedicated upper on paper for a while now, sadly it'll be along time before it comes to fruition. I tried a 22lr conversion kit but it didn't work out. Let us know how she does on the bench

Facial Profiling causes Duck Dynasty's Jase to be kicked out of NYC Hotel
KKing replied to a topic in General Chat
Doesn't get much better than Jase to me, I love his attitude about it. Any other celebrity would have been on the news 10 minutes later because of the fit they pitched -
New Gun Show in Mt. Pleasant - Know Anything About It?
KKing replied to StPatrick's topic in Events and Gatherings
I don't know much about it, other than I'll be there. I'm gonna bring my Hipoint carbine to sell I believe -
I regret trading the one Kahr I owned. One of the most reliable weapons I've owned really, but pocket pistols just aren't my thing so I couldn't justify having more than one. Glad to see they're leaving, I wish every firearms related business would follow suit

I get an error message following that link

It depends. I run Magpul BUIS simply because they're a backup. If I ran irons only I'd run some metal from someone like Troy or another reputable company. As far as optics, again I say it depends on how you use your gun. If it's going to be a range gun (like most of mine) I personally think it's crazy to run a $500 red dot. On my AR pistol I run a Primary Arms M3 clone, and it's been great for me. On my rifle, I run a Vortex Crossfire II 3-9x40 on a Burris PEPR mount. If you have money to blow, by all means buy whatever optic you want, but to me unless you're going to combat/using in the field it's overkill. Most will disagree

All he has to do is truly believe in Christ, which I believe he does. Hitler apparently did, too. - OS You apparently have a very confused understanding of Christianity, friend. Even demons know of Christ's existence, acknowledging that he exists does nothing for you
-
Hey, he's a Christian -- free ride in heaven, all sins forgiven, it's an all or none proposition, eh? - OS I can claim to be a gumball machine, doesn't make it so. I can't say one way or the other. That's between The Lord and him. Myself, I'd like to see someone arrange the meeting. Did I say that out loud?

There's Florida and Alabama fans around. He'll, they both been winning. What's Florida's streak against UT now? Something like 8 years? I don't see your point. There's Alabama and Florida fans around...? Florida fans are arrogant and ridiculous win or lose. I say "winning" as in the absence of losing, as in Alabama, not Florida. Not sure how Florida's record against UT comes into play. I've seen them play at other schools other than UT, it has nothing to do with Neyland Stadium or UT specifically.
-
I have to go with Florida as well. Even in Knoxville at a home game, the Florida fans that come out will find any excuse to act ignorant that they can. Of course I have a strong dislike for Alabama fans, but I haven't seen much out if them. Maybe because they're winning the past few years?
-
This is one reason I'm kinda afraid for him. I believe that if/when this all blows over, he may be too gun-shy (pardon the pun)
-
I don't think I'd have one again if they gave it to me, but I have to admit even if you had trouble like I did and had to send it in to be replaced you'd still only be in it a few bucks. I had one that wouldn't fit any upper I own, YMMV.

I'd like to go see it but the fiancé doesn't do scary so I'll probably be waiting until it comes out to rent. Y'all will have to let me know how it is

Zimmerman Trial: Verdict Reached!
KKing replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
The problem is that folks like yourself will read words but only interpret what you want to believe, not the intent of the author. No one can help you with that problem except for yourself. Did Zimmerman deserve to get his head smashed in for getting out of his truck? The statement you made suggests I think it was a punitive action by using the word "deserve". No, of course he doesn't "deserve" that at all. Just like someone who BASE jumps off a cliff doesn't deserve to smack into the side of the mountain and die in a terrible heap on impact, but that is a very likely outcome when you engage in such activities, and I'm not going to feel bad for them. Does someone "deserve" to get AIDS because they shared a needle while injecting themselves with heroin? No, but they don't deserve my sympathy. Does someone "deserve" to get breast cancer? No, but that person absolutely will get my sympathy. You see how that works? We all make choices in life and have to live with those choices. When you make bad choices you have to deal with the outcomes. Life is really that simple. Let's see if I can say this a little better. Some people on here (I don't know if it's you specifically, because I really don't care) have suggested that because Zimmerman exited his vehicle that he was "looking for trouble". As if him getting his head beat against concrete is in direct correlation with exiting his vehicle, it is not. Assuming it was somehow his fault Trayvon got on top of him simply because he exited his vehicle, that he brought it on himself, is wrong. That's placing zero responsibility in the altercation on the Trayvon side Now, to play to your examples, Trayvon jumped a guy and beat his head into concrete causing said guy to pull the trigger and defend his life. Yes, I understand cause and effect very well, just not some people's skewed view of it -
Zimmerman Trial: Verdict Reached!
KKing replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Some of you blow my mind. Please let me get this straight, because Zimmerman exited his vehicle, he deserved (and should have taken without using his firearm) to get his head bashed against concrete until his brains spilled out? It sure sounds like some here don't have a very strong conviction to preserve life, only about taking life. By that standard, why do you carry a firearm? Do you think it's always going to be someone of legal age, stronger, and bigger that will put you in fear for your life and they will always have a weapon of some sort? Please, help me understand. I carry a firearm knowing full well I may have to take someone's life some day. They may be "unarmed", they may be underage. But, if they put me in imminent fear of my life, I will be forced to take theirs. No, getting out of my vehicle does not mean I went "looking for trouble" -
You buncha paranoid nuts, I don't have EVERY magazine I own loaded.... Only because I forgot where I stashed a couple ;) Seriously though, I hope and pray nothing comes of it, I've gotta go to Walmart of all places tonight. If anyone else is in the Columbia/Spring Hill area, well I see no time better for us to have a gathering than the night that the verdict comes back :)

Poor guy, the state wasn't going to let anyone or anything stand in the way of their railroad circus show were they? From the way the article reads, this instance is just one in a line of many things the state has been dirty about. Doesn't look like they're interested in any sort of justice a fair trial may bring. We knew that, it's just hard for me to get over the fact
