  1. Does the thought of that round passing through your intended target and going who knows where not bother you? I understand that's a risk with any round, but you're greatly increasing your chances by using ball ammo
  2. All I can say is if in fact it is a single stack 9mm, you can put my name on the list. Heck I might even consider the .380. I'm not getting my hopes up at all, but I do have a birthday coming up in February
  3. I kinda want to get it as a gag gift for my Dad. But it's a little pricey for a laugh ETA: I love that it's a badge for the OUTSIDE that advertises the concealed weapon on the INSIDE. Anyone else see the irony? Also ETA: If you're going to wear an idiot badge, why not have it represent the actual permit? We don't have "concealed weapon permits" we have "handgun carry permits"....absolutely no mention of concealed
  4. The only thing holding me back would be the fact that you live in the city limits, depending on your closest neighbor and such. I'm a fan of the 2 strike rule in this case. 1) Talk to the owner 2) Use judicious marksmanship. Where I was raised deep in the country, you put a collar on your dogs just for the purpose of the first strike, so that whomever has a problem can talk to you about it first. Dogs without collars, well those guys only got one strike.
  5. I sure do. I've handled the longest one on a friends gun(can't remember if their numbers go up or down on which "mod" it is) and although I liked it, I kinda felt like it stuck way out. I don't run many carbine courses or anything, but I could see that being a problem for someone that does as far as snagging on clothes and such. Just personal preference I guess.
  6. I know I ruined myself early. Built my first AR with one and now I hate handling a standard charging handle. Some would say that's petty , but it's the truth.
  7. Absolutely worth it. If you have more than 1 AR, don't ever bother just ordering only 1 BCM charging handle
  8. That's them. They mark them "for training only" because they're blems
  9. Meh, if he were using a glock he'd only had to reload once... I kid, I kid. That was awesome
  10. I too was excited at first about this when I saw it at the first of the year. But I have a Hipoint carbine in 9mm, and if I wanted to spend that kind of money on one I'd get into a Just Right Carbine and use Glock mags and a familiar AR platform.
  11. I don't really know what to say. If the barrel and bcg are any good this is the best deal I've seen in a long long time http://www.slickguns.com/product/ptac-16-19-m4-556-nato-blackhawk-rifle-kit-22lr-conversion-kit-499
  12. Hmm, did not know that, but I've never had any interest in any of the Slidefire stocks or anything of the nature. Good info nonetheless
  13. Welcome aboard man, and thank you for your service
  14. Interesting, for sure. It certainly did look like it made a difference on the .308. The 223 didn't impress me as much, I guess because I never run a bipod or foregrip other than an AFG
  15. Man, good deals there . If I hadn't just gotten a 15-22 this week I'd be picking up one of those SR22's
  16. I like the selector lever
  17. I've got a couple. Johnny would've wanted people to use the piss out of them I believe. I'm using one regularly and keeping one back. Doubt it'll ever be truly worth anything, but it's really cool to me
  18. I'd love to have a single stack 9mn made by glock. As much as I love the capacity of my 19, I sorely miss the thin profile of my Kahr CM9. I think the 41 will be a flop honestly. People will buy it, but it definitely won't be "the next big thing"
  19. Dealt with them a couple weeks ago, couldn't ask for better. I've added them to my list of "go to" sources
  20. Glad you posted this, I'm currently looking at getting a 15/22 from them for training
  21. http://www.patriotthoughts.com/2013/10/23/a-state-with-no-republicans/ Definitely some interesting facts, I especially thought the numbers on socialized medicine were wild
  22. This. The way I've always understood the law...your land, your penalty
  23. Good post. But.... What I'm more surprised by is that DaveS has a post that I agree with every single word ;) Just giving you a hard time man, good luck tomorrow everyone! Please, be safe. My dad had a tree stand incident years ago that could've left him paralyzed easily (hanging by both legs then falling from 15 feet on your head) but he came away with only 2 broken legs and ankles. No real fault, just equipment failure. Check your equipment fellas!
