I'd absolutely love to have one , but I'm having a hard time convincing myself they're $2k worth of fun

I use the Remora with pretty good results. I'm not a huge fan of pocket carry though, so I may not be a good judge

I'm a big fan of different colored furniture, especially FDE. I've tried to leave a AR black and have never been able to do it. My only with with actual FDE furniture on the left, the others are painted or coated FDE

I'm gonna start carrying a tactical wheelbarrow with all my tactical necessities in it for executing tactics in tactical situations
hording is what making it short for the rest of us.
According to this logic I helped the problem by shooting about 200 rounds of 22lr on this crappy day. I know a lot of guys have a "magic number" they need in stash, I personally do not. I'm not saying I don't have 22lr a'plenty. What I'm saying is I'm not going to piss and moan anymore about something that I personally cannot fix. I'm going to buy what I can when I find it, and keep shooting with my wife and family, enjoying the sport I love. At a certain point the stress you guys are causing yourselves over the rimfire ammo situation is counter productive at best. I hate scalpers as much as the next guy, but piss on them, I came here to party :)

This is exactly why I carry every time I'm in church. Christianity and the church are getting pushed more and more toward the fringe nowadays by our society. It's only a matter of time before Christians are persecuted and this type of thing happens more often (that's Bible, not tin foil hat stuff). There are at least 7 that I know of that carry in our church, including our pastor ;)

I always figured I'd grab one of the bad guys and use them as a shield. I mean, it works in the movies!

So you want to see a picture of some of the Walmart problem?
This is why I'm not sure why people are complaining so much, unless you're doing some competition or need 22 to get some rabbits and squirrels to feed your family, who cares? Just wait a few months because more than likely the people that are mad about not getting any ammo are just going to hoard it themselves for a later date.
Because this is America, it's not about what we "need". You sound just like those anti-gunners that say we don't "need" AR's. I WANT to shoot, therefore I WANT 22lr. -
Broncos. I'll be surprised if the end score is within 14. Peyton is going to teach some lessons, then retire

Ehh...can I get a refund of my time?

I'm not a big fan of their guns, I may just have to buy a t-shirt or something. Glad they're coming here for sure.

I have some friends that will possibly die tonight from ethanol poisoning. They were going to take shots every time Obama lied...

I enjoy his reviews of weapons and such, I feel like he does a good job. He is long winded though, and his eyes are kinda wonky......or something. Overall I like him.

My dad has one, shoots so much better than mine in 9mm. The 45acp has a slow steady recoil in that platform and it makes it a dream to shoot, even with the wonky springy butt pad

I'd say part it out. What forearm is it exactly? I might be interested
I have a flatbottom boat and some crude magnets on a rope made from old 12"-15" subs. I am guessing if someone got scared and ditched them it would probanly be quick like driving over a bridge. They may be in an obvious place. Duck River isn't very deep at all in my area. It starts getting deeper towards the damn in Columbia but here in my neck of the woods, <8 '. I am a river rat in the summer and when it warms up I waill definitely do a little extra diving and searching on my long boat and kayak trips. They would be ruined but it would be a little closure. I hate to think of what all is in the water down our river. I for years has wanted to invest in a quality underwater camera and may do it this year.
I'm in!

Man that's rough. If you want to have a search party for the guns I'm more than happy to put in a Saturday if you can get info on where the scum dumped them

Oh, I also forgot to add that she said they put a stop to people getting chairs out and such. Said if the want ammo, they have to stand and wait for it. I was happy to hear that -

Out of curiosity I decided to go to our local (Columbia) Walmart and strike up a conversation. The lady I talked to today said that she works the gun counter most Saturdays, Sundays, and a couple of days through the week. She said that the days she works it she won't put all the ammo out in the mornings, she'll half it so they have some to put out in the evenings. She seemed really frustrated with "the same old faces" and with those same faces calling everyday. She said that all she'll ever tell anyone when they ask what time the ammo gets put on the shelf is "sometime between 7 and 3:30". Now she may be best friends with one of the scalpers and lying to my face, but she seemed honest about it. Also, I'm not sure about people that work the gun counter the other days -

I know this happens every day, but it still makes my blood boil just the same. I shouldn't have any ill will against these guys, but I sure do -
I like 50K in stash and 5K as shooting stock. (which I no longer have) Besides SHTF issues, and even besides the year long current shortage, ammo has always been one of the better choices for beating USD inflation rate over 5 years or less, if you decide to sell it off. And since folks can't reload it, .22 remains at the top of the list for value over time. And especially since interest rates on stashed money have crashed over last decade. Wish I had at least quintupled my stock over the last few years, I'd still have my 55K round comfort zone, plus lots of extra bucks (without even "gouger" pricing). - OS
Holy crap my friend, I have ammo envy. I can't say that I have a definite number. I shoot a lot, so if like to have a lot

AR 10 Floating Handguard Advantages?
KKing replied to lshel's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
As stated, it will increase accuracy. But...I wouldn't get too hung up on it. If you're bad about keeping a sling wound tight, or leaning heavy on the gun when shooting from a rest....then you might see the advantage of a free float On a AR10 with the ability of the round to reach out and touch something I certainly would free float it. On something like a 16" carbine AR15, where most folks run a 3-4moa red dot, I wouldn't worry about it nearly as much -

Civil Rights and Severe pain! Must read for all gun owners.

This is the bat#### craziest, but best, first post I've read in the morning on TGO that I can remember. Off to tell my wife that those headaches she's been having aren't stress, they're actually the government. Will report back :)
