1. Have to admit, I've read the thread and still understand very little of it. But, something I think will be easy for some of you guys to answer is...How do I "spend" it? How or where do I exchange my 10,000 tickets for the $20 stuffed animal behind the counter?
2. Thing that gets me the worst....he's on the cover of Sports Illustrated. You think he's on that cover because of his ability? Look I don't care who or what you like, but there's no way in hell we should be celebrating this crap anymore than the man who's been in a monogamous traditional relationship
It's all about shot placement. If you can't shoot it accurately and relatively quickly, it's not a good defensive choice regardless of what caliber it is. A hit with a .22 is more effective than a miss with a .50 BMG.
This this and this.
4.
This is some quality reading. An open letter from the three percenters to Connecticut Law Enforcement. Let's assume that there are 100,000 non-compliant owners of military pattern semi-automatic rifles in your state. I think it is a larger number but 100,000 has a nice round ring to it. Let us then apply the rule of three percent to that number -- not to the entire population of your state, not even to the number of firearm owners, but just to that much smaller demonstrated number of resistors. That leaves you with at least 3,000 men and women who will shoot you if you try to enforce this intolerable act upon them. http://sipseystreetirregulars.blogspot.com/2014/02/an-open-letter-to-men-and-women-of.html
At the risk of sounding cliche....sh*t just got real people
5. I'll be following this closely. I honestly hope that for the well being of everyone they rethink this. Lots of blood could possibly be spilled if they try to go through with it, and I'd say rightfully so
6. Bus's had the best price with free shipping last month when I got my wife's. I'm on the phone or I'd link it
7. I've used alumahyde with good results, just don't spray it on anything with tight tolerances because it builds up pretty thick
8.
Legally you can't and not supposed to be able to buy the vials separate. Being radioactive I believe there is only one or two authorized companies that can handle tritium for domestic commercial purposes. IIRC
What he said. I believe you MIGHT could source the vials from somewhere, but it's certainly not worth it to risk exposure to the stuff
9. That's just plain cool
10. I think there is another big thing we can take away from this. Note that the one intruder with the pistol was determined and tried to take another run at the door. Many people believe that at the sight or sound of a gun an intruder will go running. As we see, that's not always the case. We (everyone that owns a weapon) must be prepared to do what is necessary to stop that threat to our lives and our loved ones. I'm certainly glad this story had a happy ending, but from the bullet holes in the videos I saw that poor mother was just spraying and praying. Practice, practice, practice. Don't count on that criminal to run simply because you have a weapon. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.
11.
I would like to see a rimfire if there were postal matches set at. 22 F Class Standards for bragging rights. Would be very interesting. Not everyone has a 2000 dollar long range rifle but lots and lots of people have. 22s. But then there is that ammo thing at the moment. Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 2
I like it
12. Sadly, the only history the majority knows is what they're taught in school. Blindly supportive is what most of these people are, and that's damn dangerous
13. I love people that carry 40 S&W and believe it's the be all end all. Actually, I love grinning at them when they tell me. But, but, it's the best of both worlds!!! Hehe

New toy

Easy. Trade me for my Gen 3 19. I mean...mines newer and all ;)
15. I'd be in, my household has added 2 more rimfire rifles just this month. I plan on shooting quite a bit more rimfire this summer
16. I like...a lot. Everything I've ever gotten from PA has held up well (aside from their house brand riser, but they took care of me) I can only imagine this thing will be awesome
17. I'm just glad to see they aren't coming in state. I was going to hate paying TN sales tax on all my ammo orders
18.
Too bad we the taxpayers kept him in 3 hots & a cot for 18 years before the execution.
I will NEVER understand this.
19.
But they do ship to FL.
You offering to be our middle man? ;)
20.
Yes, I stripped it down completely and only carried him the parts I wanted coated. He will also do the stripping if you bring him an assembled gun but there is some additional cost i'm sure.
Yeah I'm sure. Thanks for the info, you have a PM
21.
Their range their rules - chill out guys - if i was a RO i'd want to be sure people are shooting legal NfA items.
Sure, you might want to. Doesn't mean it gives you any legal bearing to do so
22. They won't ship to TN
23. I like it, I've been scouting out people to do my wife's LCP. Did you take him a bare frame?
24. I got in on it as well, even though I missed this post. I follow slick guns on fb and they've been posting in stock 22lr here lately. The day after I ordered this I ordered a 300 count of CCI AR tactical 22lr from them as well for a decent price. Both are scheduled for delivery tomorrow
25. I might consider letting some moisture get in that one lol. Cool, nonetheless
