This is the first AR I've scoped, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well this mount is made. Its a pain to mount at first simply because it's two halves, but I like it, really solid. Midway's house brand, AR stoner. If I'm not mistaken your friend works with my wife at the hospital. I've been watching the for sale boards on Facebook and I let a couple of the gun shops know around here in case it comes in there. Likely not, but you never know

What I'm trying to say is that I believe if a gun malfunctions, there's probably more wrong than a "break in"

Don't get me wrong, I've owned guns that claim they need a break in period (Kahr's come to mind) but during my 200 round "break in" period I never had a FTF, FTE, nothing. I'm sorry, but those of you that attribute failures to a "break in" period need higher standards IMO.
