2. It's great, period. If you buy it and don't like it, send it to me and I'll gladly dispose of it
  3. Come on man! I have to throw the Columbia/Spring Hill area suggestion into the ring if you're ok being around an hour from Nashville. Plenty of land to be had, at better prices than the Nashville area
  4.
Many people are undeserving of prayers, but Christians are specifically directed to love their enemies. This is NOT the love that society has defined as an emotion, but rather showing kindness. I pray for lots of people for various reasons, and lots of them are not loved by me.
Perfect example, I pray for our "president" daily.
  5. This is the first AR I've scoped, and I was pleasantly surprised at how well this mount is made. Its a pain to mount at first simply because it's two halves, but I like it, really solid. Midway's house brand, AR stoner. Mounted on the gun on the right http://www.midwayusa.com/product/2228288312/ar-stoner-1-piece-extended-scope-mount-picatinny-style-with-integral-rings-flat-top-ar-15-matte
  6. I don't know that I'd want you having my Glock case either. Did you see where the 19 went through the house fire and came out just fine because it was in the case?
  7.
For what it's worth, I bought Glocks from dealers that were LE trade ins. They came as pistols with one mag in a padded envelope. There were tons of police trades that didn't have boxes with them. People move. People put stuff in the attic. Trade based on the character of the man you're dealing with, not his lack of factory boxes.
This. The fact that he doesn't have the box and or other magazine means little to squat
  8. If I'm not mistaken your friend works with my wife at the hospital. I've been watching the for sale boards on Facebook and I let a couple of the gun shops know around here in case it comes in there. Likely not, but you never know
  9. That's just cool. I think I might work on this later. If I have to come sleep on one of your couches, it's because I used it in the direction of my wife's tail end
  10.
Video talking about it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqjYEFIwUT8
I like that guy. First time I've seen him though
  11.
I am not a sports fan, so know nothing about basketball. But I did spend several hours in a group with Bruce Perle about a year back. He was very up front about his past (and how he should have conducted himself). I was impressed by him. I am not surprised Auburn hired him.
He strikes me as a guy I couldn't stay mad at long. Did that sound weird?
  12. I'm happy for auburn, that's a great hire for them. I sure wish we had talked to him about signing back on. I like his brand of basketball

That's really my point to the whole thing. Break in is one thing, malfunctions and failures are another
So your new car doesn't need a break period? Even Ferrari has a 1000km break in period.
Did you really just essentially compare a Remington pistol to a Ferrari? lol I've heard it all
Maybe I do, but then my safe wouldn't have as many guns in it! :pleased:
The way I said that sounded worse than I intended I believe. What I'm trying to say is that I believe if a gun malfunctions, there's probably more wrong than a "break in"

Don't get me wrong, I've owned guns that claim they need a break in period (Kahr's come to mind) but during my 200 round "break in" period I never had a FTF, FTE, nothing. I'm sorry, but those of you that attribute failures to a "break in" period need higher standards IMO.
Didn't hear him mention whether he had cleaned it or not. Remington ships with a ton of gunk, or at least my Mod. 783 was. Took a bunch of cleaning. May be the problem, maybe not, but would be interesting to know before condemming it.
While I agree I'd like to see what happens after it's cleaned, would you buy a gun out of a store if it acted like that? I've got no dog in the hunt, I'm not really interested anyway, it's just really weird to me that they'd send guns out like that

  20.
Similar experience with Frog Lube. Put it on the 1911's.......and after sitting in the safe for a couple of weeks the slides acted and felt gummy. F L is fired. Back to 0/20 W Mobil 1.
Glad someone said it. I use wheel bearing grease (without graphite) or zero weight motor or depending on the parts job. I use Break free products for powder fouling and barrel cleaning, but I firmly believe that 90% of gun lubes are hooey
