Where to find Amish furniture craftsmen in the mid-state area?
KKing replied to TGO David's topic in General Chat
I'll second the Ethridge/Lawrenceburg area. Everything from fresh vegetables, to hand made furniture, to leather craftsman, if they don't do it their neighbor does. Very large community of them, most I've dealt with are very friendly and the work they do can't be beat -
Can anyone tell me which round is more lethal ? 45 or .40 or 22lr at point blank? And which would one carry to a no cake for you festival??! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2 of course it ate my spelling.
Personally, I think it depends on whether or not you turn the pistol to the side when you fire.

I believe the 50bmg to be far superior to 9mm. Bigger holes and all, you know. I don't like to shoot twice

No, most do not agree with you, just as our forefathers didn't. Any law, written by a liberal (as you state you'd "compromise" on) or otherwise that impedes the right to bear arms of the American people, is unconstitutional. There are no "with a permit" or "with training" words after "The right to keep and bear arms" Yes, by bearing arms, they meant to carry and use. Do I personally wish everyone trained more, including myself, for defensive purposes? Sure I do. Do I think that should be a deciding factor in wether or not they can carry a gun for protection? Absolutely not

I saw that posted on fb. The one lady's willingness to roll over and die is appalling

Not gonna lie, I'll tune in -
Seeing it tonight for the first time on tapatalk. It's in both my "unread" and "participated" lists

We have an LCP my wife carries pretty regularly and I carry on occasion. To say it's not my favorite would be an understatement. The wife handles it just fine. I suppose my hands are a little big or something, but the beaver tail absolutely wears my lowest thumb knuckle out. I despise shooting the thing. I guess for what it is it's pretty good, but I won't act like I don't have constant thoughts of selling it

Small needle nose pliers, I've never had a problem

Meh, based on your review I guess I'll hang on to my entrance fee. I did get a good kick out of "lady with tazer table". Am I the only one that annoys?

I might go tomorrow, let me know how it is. If it's all nazi memorabilia and jerky, I'll keep my money

In the winter my hobby is trying to make sure our watercraft will actually start in the spring. In the summer, it's trying to keep them running
The people I see oc are more times than not young people. I got mine in 1997 and normally cc but a lot of times I think if you don't use things they are taken away. I think after the new wears off of people's new HCP then they will CC also. I could be wrong but everybody has a preference. To each his or her own.
My experience has been just the opposite, I never see anyone young OC'ing in my area. Most that I've seen OC'ing here are older gents. A few I've seen with some very nice leather rigs, even though leather isn't my thing. I OC occasionally. No, I don't feel as though I've drawn a target on myself, that's silly, at best.

I know this is a little different, but I was a huge fan of my Kahr CM9, didn't really realize it until I stupidly sold it. My wife's LCP is the most uncomfortable handgun I've ever fired. I practice with it because I pocket carry it occasionally, but I despise shooting it. The Kahr feels like a Cadillac in comparison to me. I'll be purchasing another CM9 here very shortly for summer pocket carry.

Ordered a little ammo for the heck of it. Thanks for the heads up
I am a member over on fflonly forum. Several FFL's on there charge extra for orders from Buds. Not because it is anymore trouble to deal with Buds, but because they do not like Buds pricing many of their firearms at close to dealer cost. Buds is hurting the stocking dealers profits and they are trying to get some of that money back.
I can see this being true. I had a similar conversation with my FFL that happens to be a pretty good friend. He didn't exactly say those words, but he didn't exactly have the warm and fuzzies for them (Bud's) either. But, knowing I have bought from them several times and he always does the transfer, he wouldn't say anything negative about them

For the record, I don't disagree with asking a customer not to do anything that might damage merchandise. But...if anyone (gun store, or elsewhere) indicates that they would draw on me for the things indicated in this thread, I have a big problem with them- 59 replies
So, a gun store charging msrp for something is wrong? Did you happen to check the manufacturers website? Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
MSRP? I'm sorry, forgive my laughter. I'm sure they sold the mess out of it. They should hope they stay so lucky because they lost business over it too. Rimfire ammo won't be short forever, but there will be plenty who remember the shop that was trying to give them the shaft over it -
Its wonderful of you to make a decision about a place that you have never personally visited.Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
With the price they place on 22lr as high as a female giraffe's reproductive organ, there are plenty of us that have made decisions about them without personally visiting. You're not helping their cause, as much white knight as you think you are here -
WHATEVER YOU DO....DO NOT BUY FROM BUD'S GUN SHOP!!!!!! I've had the worst possible service from them than from any other dealer. So bad, my local FFL won't even take orders from them. When I ordered from them, they had sent me the wrong gun, and over-charged my cred card a few thousand dollars. Afterward, I contacted them and all they did was call me a liar. It took a long time, after fighting with them, for me to get my money back. Don't do it. As for the AK, just search https://www.atlanticfirearms.com/ak-47-74-rifles.html you'll find something you like. guaranteed.
Funny, I've never had a bad experience, and I've ordered at least a handful from them. I actually plan on ordering something next week from them. Not discrediting your experience, just sharing mine

I've used everything from phosphate to Rubber City Armory's magical slick as snot carrier. Other than ease of cleaning (not a huge deal for me) I can't honestly tell you I see a difference for the money I paid. In the last 3 builds I've used the cheapest I could find from a company I knew I could trust. Those 3 are phosphate, I keep them wet, and they run like a top
