I personally hate gas stations. I think you learned something valuable, that's for sure. I always try to stay aware, even more so here lately. One of my "favorite" gas stations to go to here in Columbia was robbed at gunpoint last week. It's well lit, and only a few feet off the main highway. I'm in there at least a couple times a week since it's only minutes from our home. Just shows you never know, that's why we carry

Is this a fair price for 22LR and 9mm?
KKing replied to wileecoyote's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
As everyone else says, the LR is a fuzz high, but I bought some too if that tell you anything. Be sure and do some research on the critical defense if you plan on using it in your carry weapon -
I'm 5'9" and weigh 130lbs. I'm about as small a guy as it gets. If I can conceal the 19 all year long in Florida anybody can. Crossbreed Supertuck and a T shirt-no one ever knows. About 80% of the time I carry OWB in a comp-tac paddle holster and still hide it decently.
Yeah it may be my build. I'm 6'3" 240 and I use an alien gear IWB around 4:30ish, that's just what's most comfortable. In all reality, I may just buy both. At one point or another I've had the whole 9mm line minus a 34 and gave them up stupidly. I MUST have a 17 again though since I've gotten back into pistol shooting quite a bit

AAC Evolution for $306
KKing replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
I hate you guys (I say that with love) You guys are worse than having another woman in my life, always taking the money right out of my wallet -
Geez man that's scary. I'll warn my dad. I hope you or the authorities are able to catch this sob

If he holds true to his word, that's pretty awesome.

There are only a couple people in this world I can think of I would trust enough to shoot their reloads. I've often wondered about commercial reloads though. Never tried any, and don't really plan to, but the cheaper price can be tempting at times
Wait till you get a 19- you'll sell your 26 and carry the 19 instead. Ask me how I know!
If you're referring to me, I have the 19 currently. I sold off my other Glocks and regret it. I don't conceal it very well in the summer so I have been thinking about getting a 26 just for the summer. Right now my only smaller option is an LCP and I hate that thing. If you were referring to someone else, my fault
^the 19 is just the perfect size for any occasion, or need that may arise.
Most certainly agree. Here lately though I've had thoughts of trading or selling mine off and just go with a 26 and 17. Kind of like having both worlds instead of the best of both worlds combined. Grass is greener and all that
The OP hasn't been back online since yesterday @ 1:14pm.
You know he's off in a dorm room bragging to his buddies about how he "trolled the hillbilly gun nuts"
So, if I can only shoot one gun at a time accurately then it shouldn't matter how many I own. (That's why I don't believe in evolution, if I evolved I'd have four arms and a tail.)
Quoted because I not only agree, but I tell people this same thing about evolution all the time. I should never have to make more than two trips when carrying groceries, I need four arms. I still haz just two though, so much for that
I am specifically interested in what form of firearm control people who have any amount of experience with firearms are comfortable with.
I'm not taking your survey, but will be more than happy to answer this. The type of "firearm control" I am comfortable with is absolutely none. My type of "firearm control" is the type where elected officials, both local and in D.C., stick to what was put before them that they swore to uphold. It's a fairly old document, I'm sure you haven't heard of it in college, it's called The Constitution of the United States and it's amendments. There are some particular words they should pay mind to ..."shall not be infringed". No permits, no licenses. That's the only type I'm "comfortable" with
-
Lol I suggest you get while the getting is good. Your "survey" wreaks of vagueness

Congrats, and welcome to the Glock owners club. My Glocks are just like a shovels to me and don't get treated much better, but they never fail me. What was going on with your kahr if you don't mind me asking? I'm a kahr fan too

SEE ALL open sight. Anyone seen or tried one yet?
KKing replied to jaxjohn419's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Hmm, I'd still like to have one. Maybe this would be the ticket on top of the railed 22/45 I've been wanting -
That's why I choose to never have one in the chamber. I always rack the slide 3 times with an empty mag regardless, but you can never be too safe
And that's fine, that's your personal decision. Just understand that when using your weapon for defensive purposes you are REACTING to another persons actions and will already be behind the person that is attacking you. Racking that slide will only put you further behind unless you have practiced enough that you can do it in the same amount of time it takes to draw/shoot. I won't get into you having to leave guns unloaded to make sure they're unloaded in your home, simply because I can't understand that logic
-
While I realize that everyone's individual plan for protecting their own home is their own business, I'd be remiss if I didn't at least ask you guys that don't keep your firearms loaded (yes, one in the chamber ) to reconsider. If you honestly believe you'll have the presence of mind to ready that weapon in an adrenaline fueled panic after your door is broken down, you sorely overestimate yourself. Why put yourself at a disadvantage? That "slide racking" sound is not a deterrent, the projectile that comes out of the muzzle is. My opinion is worth exactly what you paid for it, but I feel better that I've said it. For me personally, if I have a weapon out of my safe and in a defensive roll, it has a round in the chamber. I want every possible advantage I can get over that person that wishes to do me or my family harm

PSA deal......Lower with lower parts kit $89.99!!!
KKing replied to gregintenn's topic in General Chat
I should have been more clear. I meant on the parts kits. Firefox ate my first post and I had to retype it and left that out I guess. I have enough uppers and lowers. Just need the other parts.
Ah, sorry. If I had been using my noggin I would've seen that. I've used two. Honestly one of the triggers is just meh okay. The other, is the best trigger I've ever felt come out of a parts kit. I've heard several others attest to the latter as well -
Second, quality good on these? serious question, I don't know.
Yes sir. I've had 3 (I believe) of their lowers and several uppers. My uppers were only marked "blemished" because they didn't get the PSA logo stamp. Never had a problem from anything PSA branded -
Get your colored Pmags while you can...
This thread was the nudge I needed. I ordered a few more FDE pmags today From Palmetto State Armory. I have never bought anything from them, but have read many good things about them.
As long as you aren't in a hurry, you'll be fine. People give PSA flack about their shipping times, yet you never hear them complain about their prices. Can't have both, imo.
