It certainly doesn't like like anything I would do in Nashville.
While I was being mostly sarcastic with my post, there was a truly cool thing about the junk yard I was referring to. They had a front end loader they used to move the cars, or what used to be cars. Instead of a bucket on front it had 2 forks around 12-14 feet long they would use to slide up under the whole car longways to move it around. Brought the truck I bought right out the gate and sat it on my trailer. Not something I'd go back to see, but just to let you know I wasn't being a complete goober
2. I wish him good luck. I grew up with it, worked for me
3. I really like mine, I can't see spending more money for anything else
4. Haha awesome. I've heard it told a little differently before but that's great, good way to start the day
5. I picked up a truck from a huge junkyard in Birmingham once that I rebuilt. Huge junkyard, very impressive. Twas the best thing I saw while I was there

Maybe true, I guess it doesn't hurt to change a password anyway.
I actually got an email from eBay asking me to change mine, as did other members of my family that I was with. I haven't heard the same about PayPal though

AR vs AK pistol

Oh I agree ballistics wise. For me it's just a caliber thing. If I had a AK anymore and stocked x39, I'd definitely go that route. I plan to add an AK back to the collection this year, but if I bought the pistol tomorrow I'd have to go with the 5.56. It would be a sub 100 yard plinker for me anyway, just another fun gun. If I were wanting to use it in any sort of defensive role, I'm with you on it needing to be a 7.62x39 so there's minimal velocity loss

AR vs AK pistol

This conversation makes me want to grab one of the .223 versions of the AK pistol when they go on sale for about $350. Would be a neat little shooter with the brace on it
9. Edit: Added my own tin foil hattery to the mix...then decided it was too tin foil hat-ish
10. Way to think on your feet, and very good call
11. Sure would like to have one of those. Might have to see if they'd mind shipping one to my FFL.
12. He was on one of those "next big star" reality type shoes my wife watches a few years back, seemed like a genuine guy. But, to me there hasn't been any decent Nashville country made in SEVERAL years. I mainly listen to what's called red dirt country now
13. Zero is definitely a very skilled individual, I like the way he cleared that jacket, that may be something I need to adapt. Have you seen this one? He is smooth and skilled but he's a great shooter as well http://youtu.be/gMYD73YvqH4
14. If you want the best muzzle brake made (that's my claim, with many others backing it up) you'll go with this http://www.surefire.com/sfmb-762-5-8-24.html If you just want a comp/flash hider http://griffinarmament.com/accessories/centerfire-muzzle/762flashcomp/
15.
Maybe you should try a glock, they say they are good
I'm as big a glock fan as anyone else, but time and place man
16.
I heard it suggested that it is possible to rack the gun against your pants. I don't think that is really feasible. Certainly it seems like a good way to lose your sights.
I have done this just messing around (not the best term to use) off my belt. Not something I would ever want to rely on
17.
Everything is a trade off. Someone who is unwilling to assume the risk of carrying a chambered gun must concede that they will not fare well in some circumstances. We all admit that situations where we would need to draw a weapon are pretty rare. At what point do you assume the risk of carrying a chambered gun? It's a personal choice.
You won't fare well in ANY defensive circumstance, not just some. What more risk do you have in actually carrying a firearm with the chamber loaded? If you're doing things as you should, that weapon is zero percent more likely to go off in negligence with a loaded chamber. It's a personal choice, you're right. My personal choice is to have every advantage over anyone that wishes to do myself or my family harm. You can church it up all day, but if you think it's to your advantage to carry with anything but a loaded chamber after the posts here, you're being willfully ignorant. That's all I'm saying
18.
When shooting M&P10 308 the spring/buffer make a kling/klang noise as BCG recoils in buffer tube/stock with brass thrown out at 4:00-5:00 o'clock. Is this klanging noise a problem as far as wear, etc? How can this noise be eliminated? thanks
Is this your first shots through it? My first thought is the typical sproing noise made by AR pattern rifles

Brass

I've sold 223 brass on here several times. I don't even bother picking up 9mm anymore. I've found that in pistol calibers it takes a large quantity to make it worth it, which means picking up a lot more. The time I wasted picking it up wasn't worth the return. I do well with rifle brass though
20. I give up. Do what makes you feel good, even if it's not the best, or smartest thing. Isn't that the motto of our country now anyway?
21. Awesome, well done
22.
I'm taking a $145 beating on a SIG in the classifieds, and STILL none of you want it. I got an offer of $400!! WTH? This site used to have good folks that would pick up a decent deal, and not try to gouge when selling. Now, it's dang near as bad as a gun show.
Hate to hear that, but I guess I can understand where he or she is coming from. That's why (especially on this site) if it's not already priced close to what I'd pay for it, I just pass. I'm not much of a haggler and I like to make both sides feel decent about a deal. It's a shortcoming of mine, but I'm ok with it. On the Glock subject, not sure I have an answer. I think one reason is they have a strong following. I'm not really a "kool aid drinker" but I am a Glock fan
23.
LOL! I did not know! I do have proper eye relief but I kept wondering why it was so difficult to adjust this mount. I must be getting more senile than I thought. DUH! :stunned:
Was not trying to be a prick about it, if you're getting proper eye relief don't worry about it. It's just made to let you push your scope forward for proper eye relief. I used the same mount on one of mine and love it, solid as they come
24. I've used one of the lowers with a standard LPK, no problems for me. I know others here have used them with the polymer FCG parts and claim they're actually pretty good
25. I'm sorry but I must point out the elephant in the thread. You know your scope mount is backwards right?
