There's some hate out there for the 19, particularly the gen 3 and maybe gen 4 because of brass to face. Not sure how much is real and how much is internet phenomenon. Some people say the cause is limp wristing, others say it is proof that Glocks officially suck. Mine's a gen 3 and never had any problems with it. Great gun.
I carry a 19 as well, IMO it's the perfect balance of size and capacity. As the the brass to face issue, I've been meaning to make a video for some time now documenting what I believe to be the problem. I can hold mine correctly and have the correct stance and never have a piece of brass come at me. If I intentionally limp wrist I'll get brass to the face and the top of the head. My 19 is a gen 3, btw

This thing is still going? Not to get too personal...but is she gay by chance? I figure if we get some gayness in the thread it's good for another 5 pages or so

I'd do the exact same thing I do every night at my home, prepare to defend my home against anyone or anything wishing to do me and mine harm. I live in the country, and my neighbors are of the same mindset. -
I have straight talk and it's $45 month with unlimited talk and text but they have a soft cap of 2.5 gb of data which they say they throttle you way back to crawling on speed but it only crawls as it is. My average data speed is .12 mbs notice the decimal point! If you want to talk and text it's good, but their data eats recycled hay from the cow. You also have to buy your own phone which you may or may not care about.
Ah, thanks for the info. I couldn't handle that honestly. We share 10gigs now, just the word "unlimited" lured me in
-
We're with AT&T. I love the speed, I like the coverage, I hate the price. I've been told by several that we can get into straight talk for $50/line and that's unlimited talk/text/data on AT&T towers. When I get back from vacation I'm going to investigate
I gave the cw380 to a family member and traded the cw45 for a loss. The cw45 had godawful recoil and the takedown pin would back out when shooting. Both were ammo finicky and had really rough edges. Maybe after a couple of years of carry those edges may rub smooth. Polymer Kahrs have plastic rails with short metal guides up front around the recoil spring. I hate the idea of that but apparently it has never been an issue for others.
Understood. I guess I was just lucky. I had a CM9 that never gave me trouble from the get go. All types of ammo, different magazines, it was very reliable. I'm hunting for one now, it's one of the only firearms I've ever sold and I regret it awfully

Good call, nothing you could have done

Good un, my wife was trying to fall asleep when I laughed and disturbed her. I told her to blame Obama

For me, and just for me, I like some higher end things simply as preference, not necessity. They aren't any "better" (likely) than some of my other guns. I like billet receivers simply because of the cool designs that can be cut into them as opposed to forged receivers. I like BCM products because I know they just plain work. I like Noveske barrels just because I do. Your S&W AR will probably perform just as well as one I've built with all those components, at a fraction of the price. That being said, I've never bought an assembled AR rifle, so my opinion may not be the one you're looking for. But I've built about 10 or so now, so I know my way around them. Ninety nine percent of us don't "need" high end stuff.

Glad to hear it, I've been wanting to go see both this and Ninja Turtles. Never even seen the Guardians comics, but the previews for the movie looked awesome

I'd almost be willing to drop the cash if we still had our jet skis. One of the coolest things I've seen in a while

The idea has always intrigued me, although admittedly I don't know much. I am all for money that's not regulated by the federal reserve though.

We are taking action, we're sending drones.

I run one on my M&P 15-22. I run the B5 Bravo on everything else but wanted to mix it up here. I like it pretty well
My dad taught me from a young age that life is hard enough by itself, but if I make bad decisions, I will make it exponentially harder for myself. So I have tried to live my life on the straight and narrow and can say that because of my good decision making, (not always easy or popular), I live an excellent life. I have the worlds best wife. We dated 5 1/2 years before we got married. We were both virgins up until our wedding...but definitely not afterwords. ;-) She doesn't emasculate me and she lets me be a man as well as appreciates that I am a man. She encourages me in where I am weak, and lifts me up where I am strong. She is a hard worker and when I lost my job a few years ago, she was a source of comfort and calmness in a very stressful situation. The other day we got into an argument that was clearly her fault...she couldn't see it at the time, but the next day she apologized to me, asked for forgiveness and said she will do better next time. I look forward to coming home after work. We have no jealousy towards each other...well except she is much better looking that I am but I digress. I could go out to dinner with any of her girlfriends and she wouldn't think anything of it. And on the other side, I would trust her with any of my guy friends. She loves God, loves others and loves herself. She is very much my best friend and I am always looking forward to growing old with her. Now contrast that to the one you are choosing to be with. But in her *slight* defense, how can she respect you as a man, if you aren't acting like one? Its time to start making some manly decisions. Don't be a victim. Time to go get a real job and move out. You won't like your job...welcome to manhood. When Adam sinned in the Garden, our curse was to have to work to provide for ourselves. You will never find work more enjoyable than playing video games at your grandparents house living rent free. But put your hours in, work harder than anyone else around you, maintain a positive attitude and that will get noticed. With some experience, you will either move up in the company, or you have made yourself marketable to find a more enjoyable and better paying job. I am 28 years old and I approve of this message.
Had to quote it simply because hitting "like" wasn't strong enough. Excellent post. I am also 28, and I second this message

Gun guy problems indeed, it bugs me too. I have a tray in the top of my ammo can I put them in until I collect a magazine full. Then I'll have a magazine loaded with about 3 different ammo brands/weights, and that bothers me too. It's a rough life for me
What you are describing is precisely communism. I can't believe someone is on a gun forum, of all places, spouting this garbage. Communism would be a beautiful thing if people weren't inherently sorry. That being said, the only way to motivate the average human is to reward productivity. "The resources" do NOT belong to everybody. Some people SHOULD have better healthcare, better food, and better doctors simply because they got off their @ss and produced enough to be able to afford these luxuries if they so desire. If you work 6 days a week, and I lay my fat behind on the sofa watching Jerry Springer all day, what gives me the right to a portion of the fruit of YOUR labor? Perhaps you'd be more into something written by Marx?
This is exactly how it came off to me, I figured I'd give him the benefit of doubt and let him answer my question.
Right now is bad enough, with the monstrous income gap between the rich and poor. Homeless people are going hungry, and people can't afford medication, but there are others living in 10k sq foot houses with 2 people. Materialism is a curse, I'm glad I realized early on that owning things doesn't make you happy. Unfortunately, most everyone else spends their lives aquiring more and more stuff.
Am I understanding you to be one of those "wealth redistribution" folks? It sure reads that way. If people earn enough money to afford that 10,000 square foot house, why do you care if they get it? Or why should they be punished for being able to afford it?
