1. Why can't I get it to play from my iPhone?
2. I can't tell you how many times I've had this gun in my cart and talked myself out of it (not because of the weapon, because of the wife) but I don't think I can resist the urge much longer. I already have a lot of parts bookmarked for it, I just need to pull the trigger. Honestly 99% of what I've seen on them has been positive
3. At almost twice the price of this lower, sure I like mega too.
4. I don't know wether I should shake your hand or do quite the opposite! Thanks for posting that, I was able to order 2, as I was riding down the road swerving punching in my credit card numbers lol
5. I can't speak for any of the rest, but I too have used a Stoner barrel and I'm happy with it
6. Guess I'll be the guinea pig. I've got a upper on the way that needs a little something on top anyway
7. I'll really be interested in a range report
8. I'm only about 30 minutes north and have yet to go. I mainly only shoot on our property but if we had a TGO gathering I'd be all in!
9. That's an awesome video. Big +1 for knowing Ben Howard too
10. At 15 yards I'd say that's fine shooting
11. Brother, that is his "normal" job. He's a pro rider, and I'd wager he makes a great living from it.
12. No, it doesn't. There are plenty of providers that will write 3 separate scripts to last their trustworthy patients. Or, as you suggested simply write one for pickup with a phone call from the patient. All they do is future date the script to ensure they aren't filled before the time they should be. Now, is that the best practice? No, but as far as I know there's no regulation against it. My suggestion...get used to it. My guess is before long, there will be a lot more drugs that make the same move.
13. It's made by Kydex Tech, I like it a lot
14. Random acts of terrorism my friends. Look it up, and educate yourselves. Carry daily, keep your eyes open.
15. Dude, you shoulda text me. I just now saw this thread. You can come over to my dads business any day and use a vice, it's just off the square here. I don't have my table built at our new house or I'd say come on out here. Let me know
16. The only reason I know what I do about DDLES is because the second they become available I will buy more than a couple. I love the look and function of the DDLES
17. I think you'll find that line to be quite long. If I remember right, DDLES is no more but they were bought out and someone else is supposed to start making the receivers soon.
18. Guess I can answer this part. Loud
19. Thanks buddy. I know, they aren't great videos, but they do prove the thing works and when I get the hang of it mag dumps will be no problem
20. I think you'll find "best" barrel length to be highly subjective. My favorite length AR pistol I've built is a 10.5". Short enough to still be very compact, but with a OAL long enough for me to use a forward vertical grip. I've heard it said some have trouble with getting shorter barrels like 7.5 inches to run right, but I wouldn't pay any attention to that. An AR is an AR regardless. I built one as a 7.5", but I found myself almost being forced to grip the magwell with my support hand because the barrel and handguard were so short and I didn't shoot it very well. Just my experiences. I find that with the longer barrel of the 10.5" it's easier for me to use almost my normal hand positioning and be more accurate with the weapon. I can make hits with it easily out to 200 yards.
21. Alright who's going to tell me how to upload video or let me email them a clip to post? Tapatalk keeps giving me an error message. It's no review or anything but it is a few second clip of me getting about a 10 round string off
22. It does come with the nut. As far as a sling swivel I think you'd have to drill a hole for it I'm afraid
23.
How's the weight on that KVP comp? With the fluting, I'd suspect it's at least 25-30% lighter. Did you have to use a crush washer?
I don't have an exact number, but it's light. I can't see it weighing more than an A2 flash hider, but I have no precise way of measuring. As for the crush washer, the device doesn't have to be timed at all so I don't think you should need one unless the threading on your barrel is so long that it won't butt up against the shoulder. I used one purely out of habit I think
24.
Question - which handguards did they get? Those round ones in the $50-$60 price range look really good if actually free-floating. Can't tell how they mount to the gun.
This is the exact one. http://www.del-ton.com/Free_Float_Tube_p/hg1024.htm They mount using their own barrel nut (uses regular wrench) that is threaded on the outside diameter and the handguard just threads onto the nut. Very easy install.
25.
I bought a cheapy from amazon expecting to get what I paid for. I used it for 3gun, and it worked great. I don't have an expensive one to compare it to, but it definitely reduced the muzzle rise and made for faster follow -up shots. I'll try one of the bigger names some day, but for me this one is better than a flash hider at $16.46 shipped.
