I typed out an "about me", but in this context it felt more like a "gifts I'd like to receive" thing to me so I couldn't post it. I agree with the above. Some people feel that gift cards are impersonal, I do not. We are gun people after all, anything that can be used to buy gun stuff can't be bad.

The PEPR and Aero Precision are good choices, here's another one I'm using right now that I like a lot made by Warne http://www.amazon.com/Warne-Skeletonized-Lightweight-Mount-Skel-1tw/dp/B00ECHTCLA If my memory serves right, it's pretty heavy compared to the Aero. Edit: Holy crap that's a good deal on that Aero mount. I won't delete my post, but sheesh I doubt the Warne is $40 better

I've not been able to determine with any certainty, but from what I've seen I understand that's a troll account. I've seen at least 2 other postings like that put on facebook. One stated "The Ruger 10/22 got its name for being able to kill 22 people with 10 rounds". It's hard to determine for me if it really is just trolling, but the stupidity makes me grin either way. ETA: I did she a posting from her where she thought that "Glock" was a generic term for gun. Seemed sincere. So I think it's a mix of real trolling and real stupidity.

$500 No sir. I know Bud's has them for $392 without the threaded barrel. I'm a proponent of the 15-22. I own one, and I use it often. Manual of arms is the exact same as your real deal AR. Yes it's polymer, so if that is your deciding factor I suggest take Dolomite's advice above.

This. If I wait and shop and think on it, half the time I'll end up finding something I like better or the other half I decide I didn't really want it in the first place. I end up being very happy with my final purchases that way. I'm currently thinking on 3 different guns, we'll see by next month what happens. Oh, and don't let it effect your relationships. I'm lucky I have a wife that understands and I'm also lucky enough to be able to afford a reasonable amount of toys and still be able to save a good amount of money. Don't ever let it strap you financially either.
