  1. I suppose all of my builds should have "on a budget" in the title, oh well. I've wanted to build one of these for quite some time. I have had the receivers built for a good while and couldn't decide on a barrel. Finally settled on the Green Mountain 18" rifle gas, 223 wylde chamber, 1 in 8 twist stainless bead blasted. I feel like it will give me all the accuracy I can handle and it was a great deal as well. I'll be trying some 69gr ammo next weekend and walk it out to 300 yards and depending on how that goes I may try some 77gr. I really like the magpul fixed stock so far, it really balances out this gun well. I also have to admit that this gun has the first NiB BCG in it that I've owned, and I really, really like it. I can see it being darn easy to clean. The scope is the Bushnell 4.5-18 that a lot of us on here got on sale back on Black Friday. I don't have any allusion that this gun (nor me for that matter) will shoot a 6" group at 1,000 yards, but as I said I believe it will do all I want it to at around 300 yards.
  2. No one said buy a Glock yet? This is not the Internet I'm used to.
  3. This is definitely something I'd consider as well. I'm not super familiar with savages, but this thread has my ears perked up
  4. That's the strange part to me. Can it be "resisting arrest" just for running? Even if the original intent of the officers was just to question him? (From what I've read)
  5. Well, I won't pretend to know about the situation, but I did see this posted by the FOP there in Maryland
  6. That's awesome
  7. You know... Several times in my life I have exclaimed "Now I've seen it all". Now I truly mean it.
  8. She's gorgeous!
  9. I'd just get a mil spec aluminum. I see what you're getting at, but it's literally an extra $125 to have a complete lower. With the game you're playing (NFA), that can't make the difference. I have no problems with polymer lowers. But with this being on a trust, and something that should get passed down, the thought of a breakage with a polymer lower down the road would be another $200 stamp plus another lower to fix. $125 now, or $200+ if the polymer breaks down the road. To me it's a no brainer
  10. While I will agree they are a great tool, I look at it like I'm losing valuable seconds putting them on.
  11. By that do you mean pistol grip only? Because in my experience, and with my pistol grip shotguns with collapsible stocks, the pistol grips handle 10 times better.
  12. We bow to your superior manhood. I handled a 43. Won't be replacing anything in the safe with it, that's for sure.
  13. I have a Hustler Raptor. It has a fabricated deck and Kawasaki engine. For the warranty and price I couldn't go with anything else. I only mow 2 acres though. The only thing I dislike about mine is the hydraulics are sealed so they aren't serviceable. I believe on the next model up (I forget the name) the hydraulics are serviceable.
  14. Here ya go guys. Hurry! https://www.coppercustom.com/?post_type=product&s=akx
  15. I didn't post any of the video I've seen of it for this very reason. It's an insane msrp
  16. In my experience the USPS in its entirety is one large order of fail. Instead of forwarding things across town to my new address, I've had them completely send things back to the city of origin before sending it to my new address. I can't stand to work with them
  17. Hmm I have always said I wouldn't mind having a spare LCP
  18. Do it. It's wonky, and it's the least ergonomic gun I've ever owned, but it's a absolute hoot
  19. I run the K2 on everything except bench guns now. I actually like the umbrella corp/B5 grip better but then you have to stipple it
  20. Do it, you will not regret it. I'm waiting on their next sale on uppers to pick up another complete upper myself. Never had anything from them be disappointing. Their triggers are actually one of the better mil-spec ones around in my experience
  21. Picked up 750 rounds of the 9mm at $6.94 a box just now in Columbia. I was tempted to get 1K but wanted to leave some. There's at least 10 more boxes
  22. Was it the rollback price?
  23. That's gonna be one heavy slug. Or would it technically be a bullet at that point?
  24. Might be a long shot, but did you know Dr. Robert Lee? He was a cardio-thoracic surgeon. Now practicing in Kentucky I believe.
  25. $39.97 here in Columbia. What a crock
