Thought I'd put in a few updated pictures of my gremlins. Lola is 7 months old now (Husky mix) and Ace is just shy of a year (lab) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm building my first 9mm carbine, and I'm more excited about it than I have been just about any other build. I ordered my Quarter Circle 10 Glock lower this morning. I want to do a 14.5" pin/weld until I decide if I truly am "in love" with it and SBR the lower. Anyway, I found this barrel, and need opinions. I know it's not "top shelf", but it seems that it would do well to me. I like the fact that it's threaded 1/2x28 so I have more options of muzzle devices, just need to bore out whatever I choose in the lathe. Obviously I'm not looking for a MOA shooter at 200 yards, but I'm pretty ignorant on 9mm barrels, what say ye? http://micromoa.com/nitrided-14-5-9mm-ar-barrel-threaded-1-2-28/

Keep your booger hook outside of the trigger guard and use a quality holster, non issue. If you're relying on a long trigger pull to keep you from shooting yourself, you're doing it wrong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Don't guess it has to make sense for me to still want one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You don't have to watch the video as it may not be your cup of tea, but I was trying to think of a line from this song earlier. It says "I was born here and raised here, I'll make my grave here. It's home...Tennessee." http://youtu.be/DTfaD8nXoC8 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I hate you I hate you I hate you. I'm currently getting into my own build using a Quarter Circle 10 lower and you just threw gas on that fire. Is that PSA's mag block? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've seen a lot of this world, and there ain't none of it I'd trade for my home. If that means dying defending it, I'm ok with that too

So, we went-n-bought a late model charger yesterday :0)

Nice ride. I bought one new in 07 and ended up spending half the price of the actual car changing things. Air ride, interior, wheels....guns are so much cheaper Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
For some reason I'm just now stumbling onto this thread. This is something that has been in the back of my mind for a couple of years now. Perked up ,my ears are.

Don't know why I've never done it, I have the skills, and the equipment, it just never occurred to me. Now that I have, I don't know that I won't add several more to my stable. Call me crazy, but I can actually feel the 1.5" difference missing from the OAL. Enough of that, on to some specs. -14.5" 1/8 twist Faxon Firearms mid length medium profile barrel with 11 degree crown. -pinned and welded strike industries Venom -ARMS polymer BUIS (probably changing) -12" MI quad rail -Mega "tactical" adjustable trigger (I'll withhold recommending it until I have several rounds down range with it) I'm undecided on optics. I'm contemplating an Acog but it's hard for me to commit to. I go back and forth between a red dot/magnifier combo, acog, and a vortex 1-4. Here are some very rough pictures of the process of pinning and the final product. I used high temp paint that's designed for engine blocks and is chemical resistant to paint over the weld. I purposely left some weld just in case I run into an overzealous agent of our dear government. And a small AR group picture, because why not Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Glad you said that Dolo. I've always looked at it the same way I do the gas tube. There's a whole lot of pressure going through there, I figure it can pretty well take care of itself Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I won't bore you with my cleaning methods, but for lube I use 0w20 synthetic motor oil almost exclusively. "Gun oils" are the next biggest racket behind car insurance Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I use clamp on because I've had 2 set screw types come loose on me. Never once in the over 20 something AR's I've built have I had a clamp on loosen up on me. I shoot the AR's I own...a lot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you want non adjustable, the YHM clamp on gas block is the best I have used for money spent. https://www.primaryarms.com/Yankee_Hill_Machine_Low_Profile_Gas_Block_Sl_p/yhm-9384.htm If you want adjustable, I'd use no less than this one from Syrac http://www.syracordnance.com/products/copy-of-gen-ii-750-adjustable-low-pro-stainless-steel-clamp-on-gas-block Either way, I never use plain set screw blocks. Clamp on is definitely the way to go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's great, except he asked for 55gr suggestions Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I should have clarified, mine was that way when I received it. The rear takedown hole was just drilled too large. Do yourself a favor and get a $39.95 Anderson lower from fatboytactical, you'll thank me later. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We're on vacation and I just saw the email today at lunch. Snooze you lose and that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I had one, was not pleased at all. The rear takedown pin would pull completely out of the hole if you weren't super gentle with it. I emailed them simply to give them a heads up, since they had sent me an email asking me to review their product. I was planning on buying one of their fde lowers since they match Magpul so well, ah well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hornady Z max. Stupid marketing gimmick, but good ammo. I don't have to worry about over penetration. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Had a buddy with probably an 08 SRT. That thing would grab and go like crazy from a standstill. Mongo like Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Always have liked PSA, that's great Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Atta boy, well done. I recently used a UTG pro keymod rail and was very pleasantly surprised Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
