  1. I do love silly statements like this. It's what makes the "caliber war" threads so entertaining. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Oops I posted in the other thread. Count me in, the last 2 years have been fun Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I'm in. I've enjoyed the last 2 years a lot Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I've taken courses at Yeager's place, along with a Army SF guy I know. Yeager himself didn't have too much to do with our course, more the people he has working there (such as Reid at the time). FWIW, I didn't get yelled at, or anything of the sort. Is Yeager someone I'd want to hang out with? No. But I took the course because of who worked there, not really because of him. I learned a lot, and even more impressive to me is the SF fella told me he learned as well, which really stood out to me. I don't care where you do your training or with whom you do it with. I'm not paying for it, I don't care. I'm definitely not telling you that some of the things posted in this thread aren't absolutely true. I just figured since I had actually taken a class there I should speak up. I will personally do my training from here on at Valor Ridge because I'm a fan of Reid's attitude and ethic. As far as the Zero vs. Yeager thing, as far as I know (and I believe the video Zero posted said) Zero does not train civilians, so that comparison is apples to oranges. As far as background, it's my understanding that Zero has a pretty extensive background with Special Forces and private security type folks. So again, apples to bowling balls Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. This. Looked very awkward to me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. This Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. So will all the rounds be "traditional" type rounds where closest pellet to center wins? Will you have "open" rounds for rail guns set up to shoot a 2/2/10 shell? How many feet will you be shooting from? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. "We change everything" seems to be like Will Haden's "Neva been done befo". Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Ammo, ammo, ammo. Oh, and I'm buying myself some steel plates to shoot Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. 50 yard zero for 22lr, 25 yard for 9mm If I ever get the bugs worked out on this lower and run a short barrel it will definitely get a can. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks for the encouragement. I'm hoping maybe with time the spring will get some give to it. I'm also going to order a new magazine or 2. Mine are a little older and don't give me feeding problems, but maybe the mag springs don't have the bounce they used to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I really wish it were that easy. Even manually running the charging handle back with an empty magazine won't lock it open. I did, however make sure the bolt goes back far enough behind the catch since I'm using the longer 9mm buffer, and sure enough it's going back at least 1/4" past the catch, so it should work if it was getting the upward pressure from the follower/less resistance from the bolt catch spring. Oy vey! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I wouldn't call them a necessity at all. If I remember correctly, having a ramped bolt makes this a non issue. With a ramped bolt you can run a normal mil-spec hammer and not have to worry about it beating up your pins (from what I have read). I used them simply out of habit. I run them on all of my weapons. I have had a hammer pin walk out on me once and ruin my day so I figure why not. These are what I used... http://www.knsprecisioninc.com/gen-2-mod-2-non-rotating-trig-ham-pins-169.html Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Would there even be a big enough market to warrant a change like that? Maybe night vision hunting is much bigger than I know about if so Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That's what I get for simply cruising the "unread" on tapatalk. My fault. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Savage 22lr bolt action. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Unfortunately, I'm sure it will be something as underwhelming as this Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Not ignorant at all. I'll look into how those Colt dedicated lowers are set up and let you know. The glock dedicated lowers bolt catch works on a transfer bar type system. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I finally "finished" this thing and got it out today for 150 rounds before it started pouring rain on me. I don't have a shelter up on my shooting property, so when the rain came I just called it a day. Picture first, then some specs.
  20. My first thoughts when I read the OP Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Color me interested Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Pass. They'd literally have to be giving them away for me to darken that doorstep again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Yeah...I wouldn't say my wife is "into" guns, but I can say that more than one time we've spent my next gun fund on something she thought she wanted. Decked out 10/22, Remington 870, etc. that have sat in the safe aside from the couple of times I've had them out. Starting to wish she hated guns a little more lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Glad I asked! Looks great Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Welcome! I have to say I've spent several work days with your site pulled up just deciding which class to take first! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
