  1. I get what you're saying. That being said, your argument sounds identical to that of the people who defend Keltec whenever those products don't work right out of the box. "All they need is a fluff and buff!" Comparing those two companies in the same sentence is a shame considering the dollar difference
  2. Maybe I'm just 1911 ignorant, but should I really have to do ANYTHING but shoot a weapon I pay that much money for? I mean, call me crazy...but I've given $500 for those ugly weapons that rhyme with block that have never needed "fixing" I dunno, but it feels like buying a Ferrari with a "some assembly required" disclaimer. My Chevrolet truck runs well.
  3. Meh, there's a saying in drag racing; All flash and no dash. That's Kimber to me
  4. I'll just say that so far I've put maybe 300 rounds through the 3 that I have between my AR and pistol. No malfunctions or anything, added bonus of having enough floor plate pressure to actuate my BHO. I figured they would be good because their AR mags are good to go as well
  5. I saw where they are offering those, in the future I might try one out. I know what you mean about the BHO because I was very frustrated when mine didn't work on my QC10 lower, especially per dollar sent. So thankful I found those ETS Glock mags that will actuate it. Now I would have no hesitation sending off for a stamp on that lower.
  6. Wasn't sure what section to post this in but wanted to share my experience. For those of you not familiar, QC10 makes AR pistol caliber parts. Their bolts, what would be the BCG in a normal AR have a removable weight in the rear of them that is held in by a .25" roll pin. While out shooting last Saturday my 9mm AR the bolt basically seized in the upper. I was able to remove the bolt and saw that this roll pin had walked out and the roll pin was pressing into the side of the upper receiver causing it to bind. Annoyed to say the least, I shot them an email explaining what happened and that I felt like for the premium price I paid I should have received a premium product, respectfully of course. Monday morning I not only got a return email, but a phone call. We talked the problem out and decided to just try a new roll pin before they replace the entire bolt, a pretty spendy piece compared to normal BCG's. I installed the new roll pin and I've since ran around 150 rounds through the weapon with no trouble. I emailed them to follow up and let them know that it had worked, only to receive a phone call a few minutes later thanking me for my patience and apologizing that it happened. Very cool if you ask me. Cliff notes: I had a problem. QC10 not only emailed me, but called me to straighten it out. Then called again after it was fixed to apologize and thank me for my patience. Thumbs up
  7. Hmm, never seen that with mine on the bolts, only black carbon like normal. I have noticed it with my muzzle devices though, never paid it much mind
  8. I can only pass on second hand info, but I have a very good friend that does and he likes it.
  9. Yeah that won't last long. I've had listings for magpul grips get yanked because "assault weapon"
  10. It's all I shoot now. It can't be beat IMO
  11. I saw over the weekend a university that has came up with the same thing, only more crude. If I remember right though due to whatever restrictions they are only allowed to fly it indoors
  12. Meh. I have a bump fire stock my wife got me as a gift. I've used it one time. Lucky for me I have friends with multiple full auto weapons I can use to scratch that itch without diving in the deep end. BCM Keymod angled grip
  13. Beat me to it. What the heck is going on
  14. There's been a lot of good suggestions made already. A couple of months ago I would have been another vote for the BCM charging handle, but not now. If you try a raptor charging handle you'll never use a different brand again. I'm changing all of mine over to raptors, so if you really do want a BCM I may can help you out. Also if money was no object I would run a Noveske 13.5" NSR on all my pinned 14.5" guns
  15. Sure, why not. I haven't had a good argument with my wife in a couple months
  16. Do what? Off to do some googling
  17. Casting my vote here
  18. Have to say that would be kinda cool if that's the case. I figured most of the armed forces were still using Matech rear sights, though I admit I'm pretty ignorant in that area
  19. There's one in every crowd. Even with no info I think it was a steal for what I paid. It sits on a rail as flat as my MBUS PRO, and has elevation adjustment, I like it a lot. Just didn't know if anyone had seen one before
  20. I guess a more appropriate title would be "Has anyone ever seen one of these". I stumbled across this on eBay and I just had to have it, but I can literally find nothing about it. My google-fu is weak. What I know: It's Armalite branded, seems to be of very good quality, and has elevation adjustment on the top of the stalk. I wouldn't think it would be a Chinese rip off since the finish is really good and well, what would they have copied? Can't find a listing where Armalite has ever sold them, so I wondered if anyone here remembers Armalite offering these? These are the pictures from the eBay auction, I haven't taken any of my own yet. Thought this might be perfect on an AR10 build
  21. We looked great. From what I'm seeing, other than a couple of exceptions, the SEC is showing yet again to be the better conference
  22. Dang you sir, dang you.
  23. So you said all of that to say that we should buy M&P over Glock? You might want to get on some blood pressure meds because I highly doubt any of our armed forces will be choosing M&P's (or any weapon for that matter) simply because they're American made. I'm not saying I disagree with you about buying American made vs. foreign, but when it comes to protecting me and my family I'm going to buy and use the best tool for the job. I don't care if it's made on the moon.
  24. While I agree if you "need" an optic on a pistol that you're in trouble, for us that don't "need" them they're certainly fun to play with. Don't think I would ever carry a pistol with an optic, regardless of quality
  25. Pretty brilliant advertising, kill two birds with one stone!
