    To go brand!

franklin gun shop was selling them for I believe $24.99 for 3 mags. But I still cant find a good priced G3. And I am thinking about picking up a better ar rifle and giving my DPMS as a gift for my dad. Since there is no way in hell i am buying him a all numbers matching luger like he had. (and we arent even german! :screwy:)

    To go brand!

to be honest, I am trying to stay under $1000 if possible. Working on a 68 bel air and its draining my funds. Along with a audi that never wants to run. But as soon as I get a change, I will try and pick up the PTR that the nashville armory has.   Edit: nvm, the armory is gouging the price on the PTR

    To go brand!

I was also looking for a G3 style rifle and I kept hearing about problems with the century arms ones. I never heard of rock river arms. At first I though you said rock island.

    To go brand!

...... so, for a simple ar to keep around for the range, the brand isnt a big factor then. How would a S&W and a colt compare to a dpms? (sorry, but thats the only ar I have so I have to use it as a base)

    To go brand!

whats the reliability for them? and what price range to they fall in? most of my friends keep saying bushmaster, but I like to keep a every open book.

    To go brand!

what brands do you guys generally like for rifles? I hear cetmet is not the greatest and DPMS is for entry level. I have a DPMS ar 15 and was thinking about getting another ar 15 (this disease is spreading). I heard that colt has some good ones and bushmaster as well. Who do you guys think would be a  good brand to go with? I would love to put one together myself, but unlike legos, I dont have the proper tools.
  8. If its of any revelance, I used to have the model 99 and the .357. Got rid of them at the time for a dpms and now I miss them :(

    1911 Reccomendation

for a grand? get 2 umarex regents D100's. Put plenty of rounds thru them and you get 2! 2 1911s. Then you can have one for you, and one for the wife!

    mosin nagant woods gun

make the first shot count. After that, everything will run way.
  11. Been away for a while, I am looking for 3 handguns. A glock 17 or any of them full sized in 9mm, a taurus .357 with a six inch barrel or higher caliber with the same barrel length, and a taurus model 99 in 9mm or the equivalent barreta. As much I as I like the FGS, their prices are a bit high. Anyone know any shops that may have those for a good price?

    STG 44 22 LR

Too bad you  cant rechamber it to something else. Thats the only reason I have not picked up one. As much as I LOVE german weapons, I cant see the STG 44 being used as a .22. I may give in someday and buy it.

    1911 sights

I wish I could upload a pic of the sights. They are CRAP. Day or night. The Front post is laughable. My bed side gun is my Rock island m5 loaded with OO buck

ahahahahah. im divorced. So, that means I am just shit out of luck! But I will give them a look as well.
  23. nah, im done. Im just going to focus on getting a new car instead of cool shit I can buy for my rifles and pistols. Maybe one day I will get an 37mm launcher or an m203
  24. unless you go the armory indoor range, then they will hate you, sue you, and probably shoot you. But I think it will be worth it.
