  1. I have taken the bolt completely apart and cleaned everything. Also took out the firing pin. I just have no idea what each individual part is. Might have to go get a poster or something with all the different parts.
  2. I have no deal what a properly place gas key looks like, my friend check it and it seemed fine. He even check the gas pipe to make sure it wasnt clogged. The only modifications to the rifle was a front tac rail and a red do. Other than that, the lower and the upper are both original on that rifle. I also did not try different uppers and lowers with it.
  3. Mostly federal, only shot brass out of it.   We tried 6 different mags so far. From all metal to polymers and they all performed the same. All the mags worked fine on his rifle but refused to chamber the next round on mine.
  4. I am trying. This is my first ar and I am new to all the parts. I took it to a friend and he completely stripped it down, Saw how everything was spotless, added more oil to a few areas that I didnt oil enought, and the damn thing still woudnt chamber the next round. We check the gas block and everything seemed alright. He even check if the barrel was seated properly. Hes taking it to a gunsmith for me. I still need to learn how to break down an AK and a C93... Doing one thing at a time.   And we tried a 3 different mags that he had and the shells ejected normally, but it still would not feed the next round.

    CZ reliability?

Even as a .32? Might pick this one up over the FEG 63 then.

    Good Ak 47's

I am getting so lost. Avoid first gens, and what else? I am really happy with the overall help, but its only making things more confusing.

    CZ reliability?

What about the CZ 70, is that one just as reliable or a pass since its a .32?

    Makarovs

That mostly killed my wanting that pistol. Might find a .380 version of it or look for an actual makarov.
  9. I did find a C93 there. But ammo was priced a bit much. Thanks for the heads up, now I have a chance to go pick up a FEG.

    Makarovs

Thank for the info. Ill have to pick up one and try it out myself.

    Makarovs

So, they arent makarov's, just chambered in 9mm makarov. Why do people refer them as makarov's then?

    Makarovs

I know they are good pistols, but anyone know anything about the Hungarian FEG's? As far as makarov;s go, they look pretty sweet. If the FEG are just like the russian ones, I may look at picking up two of them. Just asking for feed back from someone who might own one or a few.

    Good Ak 47's

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=384528072   I know it ended, but I found a couple more at around that price and am wondering if they are good buys, or avoid.
  14. It ejected some forward and some normally. The bolt goes back, but other times, it wont even eject.  And every gun smith in the area has a mile long waiting list.

    Which AR 308?

    PTR 91? Just throwing a bone :x:
  16. Same rifle. Everything seems fine.... Its driving me nuts.
  17. I have a DPMS Oracle and the rifle fired great until now. I have maybe 300 rounds thru it. I took it to the range and it wouldnt feed the next round. Took it apart and cleaned and lubed everything. Still no dice. I did notice some smoke coming from the front gas block. It still fires just fine, but it is not loading the next round and isnt ejecting the casings as well. Could there be something wrong with my gas system?
  18. Fired the C93...... And I am a believer. Such a nice firing rifle..... I HAVE TO get a .308 G3 platform now.

    Good Ak 47's

1: I am divorced, other wise my ex wife would have shot me with her sig. 2: I was being realistic about the price. I am looking for one under $600 if possible, and ammo is "easy to find" when I comes to ak's.
  21. Thinking about a ptr. Keep hearing a ton of flack from cetmet rifles. Seems like the early ones were the best. But having 2 G3 rifles, now thats a dream come true.
  22. On the fence on if I would get a G3 variant in .308 or a SOCOM M14 in .308...... I may end up buying both. One soon and one on tax refund time.... But I still have to find a makarov tho. All these rifles and two 1911's.... my pistols are feeling threatened for their love.   Almost forgot, need an AK in 7.62x39.....   So many rifles....   My wallet is crying...
  23. Yes.... Wanted to buy a makarov as well, but that rifle, 2 extra mags for a total of 4 and 100 rounds of .223 was more than I wanted. And it was done in record time. I came into work 6 min late. Franklin officer wasnt happy with my going of 55mph on a 30mph curve.....   I still want a .308 tho.... Hopefully this will hold me over. I am considering it a half G3.
  24. I swear, some times, I wish I have never bought my first gun. Did a 15min blow thru the gun show, found this rifle at a good price, picked it up.... And the first thing I did at work on my break was look up more rifles.... Does this condition ever end? C93 in 5.56 and got four mags and a bayonet. Not the .308 I been lusting after, but pretty damn close.   http://imgur.com/TZIDgrr   http://imgur.com/nlpNhjW

1: Just for fun at the range 2: Maybe once every three months 3: As cheap as possible as long as it wont blow up on my hand.
