  1. Decided it was in my best interest to sell the bike and get something else. Made a profit, and next thing you know, got something else. Now I have a 5 speed, a 6 speed and a 3 speed. Need to get a 4 speed to close the gap. And it works out too. Got a full size sedan, a compact sedan and a hatch back.

    Got a new toy

The wind screen was tiny and very cheap. Also looked like crap.
  3. went to Harley to buy an 883 and they declined be because I have good credit, but no credit history. Went to Honda and they did the same thing on an M50 Boulevard. (They would accept with double of the down payment, so I said no). So instead I found this guy. 2001 Suzuki Intruder VS 800. Shes super fun to ride, and has a little over 9,500 miles. She came with a shield and saddle bags, but they both looked pretty gay. So took them out and am going to retrofit two small ammo cans as storage compartments. And who knew motorcycle insurance was so cheap?!
  4. Not to say one way or another, but this never happened to me while in school or college. Dont know why, but most of this crap that keeps happening on TV I have yet to see.
  5. If im in that area and they have them in stock, i will probably grab a a couple.
  6. What are their prices? They went from $65 out the door to $105 out the door over here.
  7. Who has lowers instock around the middle tn area? I used to get mine from North side, but they bumped up the prices and I wanted to know if anyone knows of a store that sells them cheaper?  Dont really care for a brand name since all the anderson ones I have used are fantastic.
  8. Nah, I didnt like WKU so I came back. Got a damn sweet job with a great company and will work on paying some of the college debt off. I will take some photos tomorrow, but this is the last thing I need to get her on the road so I can take her to the shop and have all the body work done and the car re painted.
  9. Dont know why I said intake, I need the exhaust manifold. Im going to try to use the wire linkage.
  10. As some of you may have guessed from my profile picture, I have an old 1968 bel air. I dropped a jasper rebuilt motor in her about two months ago, and got everything hooked up but the carburetor. The engine came out of a C10, so the carb positioning does not match my throttle lever. Can anyone recommend a good machine shop that might be able to cut off the bolts and then re align them? And yes, I have browsed many a site looking for this damned intake and zero luck. ( Not really, found a BUNCH for the V8's but nothing for my L6).
  11. Got the same tool box, didnt last past an year. Oddly enough, if you can somehow find a sears, the craftsman ones are pretty dope.
  12. I have only gotten a few few things over the years. two 3 ton floor jacks, one 4 ton, a 2 ton engine crane, a one ton engine crane, four 12ton jack stands, four 3 ton jack stands, and two 1 ton engine stands. Out of all of those items, one of the jacks has been beaten to hell and back for the past 4 years and it still works great. And most of the other stuff gets almost daily use. Except for the engine stand and the crane. Those get moderate use.

    .50 AR

I dont reload nor have much free time. Last time I went shooting was roughly 6 months go. This is something I will start stashing a few bucks here and there and maybe have it built by summer. My main concern was the buffer spring to use.

    .50 AR

My bad, .50 Beowulf so I can still use a standard ar 15 lower.

    .50 AR

I have built plenty of AR 15's and have it almost down to a tee. I have been toying with the idea of building an AR 50 for a while know and has anyone here built one? I would love to get some pointers. Such as best stock to manage the recoil and should I go for a specific set of lower parts or just use my tried and true anderson lower?
  16. I did find a site, but it required a class something permit.  I just wish it was sold locally
  17. Is anyone able to legally buy it? Or do you have to have a special permit to use them?
  18. If you were not to far way I would have suggested north side gunshop. I have enjoyed all my purchases there and the owner is kick ass.
  19. Reminds me of my dad's bosses garage, minus the BMW and FJ. But a few more Ferrari's to compensate. Oh and a odd ball Bentley.
  20. My folks payed around $500 extra each month towards the principal only. They finished paying off their house in a little over 10 years. And now they can put that extra cash to anything else they might need.
  21. Reminds me to go do shocks on my Bel Air. Dont want to specially with this evil cold weather. But it looks really nice.

    FAL

yeah, mine had an imbel lower and that thing was a BEAST.  Loved shooting her way more than my PTR.

    FAL

Much to my dismay and everlasting regret, I had to sell the fal I got off a fellow TGO'r a few years ago, and I have been looking for another one. Anyone know where I might find a reasonably priced one?
  24. I been saving a bit just for a ppk. Damn james bond movies.
  25. Sadly, I saw a crash test that showed the chevy being decimated during a crash. They were testing new cars vs old one and that volvo ate up the chevy. it was a 54 I believe.
