  1. I would rather have the mule.
  2. Literally worked for a place that it was three of us running the shop. We responded to accounting, the owner and the bean counter. One of the partners decided we had "too much freedom" and gave a management position to a friend from church. Dude made more than all us, constantly had some of the worst ideas imaginable (save for a replacement bin rack, he was a good engineer, garbage supervisor) and tried to run the shop in a way that constantly failed (we did things like he wanted, they just didnt work due to the type of business and scheduling we ran). We all quit after a while and he was fired a month after we all left. Sadly, this wasnt the first time I left a place because someone unqualified was put in a position of power.
  3. I saw, but I was trying to stick around a grand for now. German car parts arent cheap. Dont know why I keep buying german cars.
  4. One of the reasons was ####ty middle managers. People who actually didnt contribute much to anything except trying to look like they are worth something. Lots of places have middle managers that actually bring in nothing. It is just a place holder position.
  5. I have never left a job. I have left terrible management. I dont quit places, I quit people.
  6. So, I been wanting a 308 again (found around 400 rounds cleaning things out again) and honestly dont want to go the G3 route again. So, I been thinking about getting a AR 10 and adding a scope for some medium distance shooting. Say, 300 yards. Now comes the problem, there are so many of them! BCA and PSA are two that I am leaning towards. The only thing I dont like about the PSA rifles is the chrome barrels. Tried them once and it just isnt my thing. What are some other brand with good AR10's sub $1500?
  7. Home. #### all the office ##### and dirt bags who make work ####ty. Jackassed think they can dictate things because they have been there longer but always suggest the worst ideas that fail 97% of the time because they cant handle other people's imput.
  8. I did think about going biodiesel before.
  9. ####ing wonderful.
  10. Shows how much the us infrastructure needs to be updated. Power, fuel and roads all need major work. Tons of unsafe bridges and barely serviceable roads. Old and weak electrical grids that are vulnerable to nature and outside forces. Over dependence on a few places for fuel needs that cripple entire sectors if something happens. I dont give two ####s what side of the isle you say you are from, we need a MAJOR infrastructural overhaul NOW.
  11. Depending how things go, I might snag that AT hauler at the end of the week if you still have it.
  12. There is nothing wrong with a dual sport. I plan on getting one some day.
  13. If you arent using the minimum the manufacture specifies, then you are just asking for more issues down the road. I dont think I have owned a car recently that didnt use full synthetic. The only exception is ford and their weird synthetic blend. Hell, even all my motorcycles run on full synthetic. The oil on my katana still looks amazing clean and it has only been 4000 miles since the last oil chance. If you have a modern turbo charged or supercharged car or truck and you arent running synthetic, you are doing it wrong. The last two vehicles I ran conventional oil was my 91 RX7 and 04 RX8 only because the way a rotary engines works. The additives dont burn off and instead start to coat the inside of the rotor housing and thus start wearing down the apex seals as if they were going over sand paper. You can buy oil change specials for less than $40 bucks if your car takes five quarts or less. 10 minutes later and you are done. Hell, even a lot of "house brand" synthetic oils are spec'ed out for most engines now days. Ran napa brand full synthetic for almost a year in a corolla and the only issue I had was all the extra time from no more constant oil changes.
  14. More like people rubbing in a smart choice that someone of us didnt make.
  15. I had an M44. Would not get one again.
  16. Im not bitching. I simply asked around. I have payed for the membership a few times, but i just dont visit the forum much. I think i came here a grand total of six or seven times last year and probably twice the year after that. As far as your phone analogy goes, spending more than $200 on a phone is something that I wont do. I bought my G7 that was a non used display demo for $150. Case and screen protectors made everything around $200.
  17. I mean, i have payed for a membership a few times before and met some cool people here. I just dont buy or sell anything frequently enough that actually offsets how much it would cost. I havent bought or sold anything in the past two years.
  18. Granted, I have payed for tgo membership in the past, Im too sporadic to actually make use of it. The last gun I purchased was in 17 and I am just now looking to thin out the herd and maybe aquire a new pistol. Otherwise, Im far too focused on other things.
  19. What is the next best thing?
  20. I forgot about the stupid bayonet. Feels like I need a longer safe just for this one rifle. I should probably sell it soon. Unlike everyone around me who is "mortified" when I told them I sell stuff I dont use. Knowing my luck the cosmoline probably migrated to something like. Like the ak or the ar.
  21. Anyone in the middle tn area knows a gunsmith that works on makarov's? As much as I want to like mine, I really hate the trigger pull and would really like to do something about it. Also got an AK 74 that needs a good looking over too.
  22. My dad got me one at an auction two years ago. Never fired and honestly, dont even know why I still have it. I have zero interest in lugging that long ass m91 anywhere
  23. I would they actually lowered their prices to keep up with times unlike psa. Same kit i got two years ago for around $470 is now $900.
  24. Yeah, no. Their prices have become a little too ridiculous for my taste. Plus, every single ffl treats the lowers as a full rifle transfer so that is almost an instant $50 on top of what ever the price originally was. Check out bear creek arsenal. I have used their uppers before and they are great. Finally decided to buy their 458 soccom upper (after doing everything possible not to buy it for the past four years) and just need to find a decent lower to stuff it on. Been calling around to shops in the area and everyone is somehow sold out
  25. Its been over two years since I built anything and the stars finally alined today. After years and years of waiting and sitting with my thumb up my ass, I finally bought almost all the parts needed for a build that has been on my to build list for years now. I finally have all the parts needed to build a .458 rifle. But now comes the part I need help with, lowers. WTF happened to all the lowers and all the prices? Can someone point me in the right direction to a lower that wont cost me an arm and a leg? Dont have to be anything fancy, just not high enough for me to refinance the house.
