May be some discounts coming if they try and ditch merchandise based on this. https://gearjunkie.com/yeti-rtic-coolers-lawsuit-settlement

LaRue MBT-2S is what I am running in my hunting/target rifles. ALG ACT in my carbine. I used to have a couple of Geissele triggers and they were great, but (IMO) the LaRue is every bit as good as the SSA-E I had and a lot cheaper.

I can't wait. Have really enjoyed the series.

Three British stooges, a bike, and an electric fence.
TNMTBik3r replied to Sam1's topic in General Chat
We had a pulse electric fence growing up, and a family friend was over one day. She asked about the fence and how it was able to keeps the cows in, and was told it was electric, etc. Said friend did not trust what she was told, and walked over and started tapping the fence. She timed it just right and was hitting in between the pulses, missing the shock. She then proclaimed the fence was not working and quit tapping it, and instead grabbed a hold. Much laughter ensued from us watching. -
It was a great game. I didn't care either way - I cheer for SEC teams in bowls, but as an UT fan I wanted to see Bama get beat. The game could have went either way, several big plays, mistakes, and missed calls on both sides. That game was exactly what a National Championship game should have been like.

I just ordered some Weapon Shield CLP to try. It sounds like it may be a bit thicker than my currently used Slip 2000 EWL and cling to a BCG better but I will see.

I'm not selling this back! I just noticed that picture shows the MOS plate not seated flush with the slide. I forgot I had that issue when I first installed the optic and didn't notice until at the range that day. It is a fairly common complaint with the MOS plates, is that the included screws are either too long or too short. The screws from Glock were so long they actually raised the plate and optic away from the slide, after some reading online I went to Ace Hardware and bought some screws that were the perfect length.

41 MOS. I have since added Talon Grip tape but haven't touched anything else. I may install a 3.5# connector at some point so it more closely matches my G34 trigger. Or even a full trigger group, haven't made up my mind yet. One of the coolest factors of the G41 is the 9mm sized slide. The G41 fits my competition holster for my G34 without issue, if/when I want to use it. I actually shot both in USPSA the other month, just had to deal with the mag differences.

I have stuck with my RCBS beam, but have read a lot about the various digital scales. There are 3 scales that seem to top the lists depending on what you read. Not ranked, just listed: Dillon D-Terminator - https://www.dillonprecision.com/d-terminator-electronic-scale_8_7_25213.html Ibalance 101- https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004C3G73U/ref=aw_wl_ov_dp_1_7?colid=3F4C3YMFNYUUQ&coliid=IXONWZZILSO4L Gempro 250 - https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B004C3I3AA/ref=aw_wl_ov_dp_1_6?colid=3F4C3YMFNYUUQ&coliid=I14O1AW0525S4T If you want a combo dispenser/scale the RCBS Chargemaster seems to be the way to go.

The smell is the best part I used my spray bottle of M-Pro 7 and then refilled it with Hoppes #9.

I have some FireClean I use on my Glocks. Not dedicated to it, just trying to use it up since I bought it to try. For my AR, Slip 2000 EWL only. I read a bunch about this a couple of years ago and after buying some never looked back. I do have a can of aerosol RemOil I use at times for quick rubdown of external parts but that is very infrequent. I am not a die hard of anything though. I will (and have) try different products, but right now I have stuff that works well and no reason to buy anything else. Breakfree is on my list to try at some point.

Anyone seen this powder yet? I read about it on the national forum a few weeks ago and then picked up the 2017 Hodgdon annual two days ago which has data for the new powder. I don't shoot .300 Blackout, but this powder is tailor made for it. Also suitable for several other calibers and the one that interests me is for 6.8. I currently load using AA2200 but am eager to get a pound of CFE BLK and compare the two loads. Supposed to be available in January so may be showing up on shelves very soon.

Greg, out of College Grove area? I'm not sure he is in the business anymore. Haven't seen or heard anything in close to 2 years now.

I looked closely at both of those before getting a good deal on a Burris FastFire III. The Venom has a top load battery, do not have to remove the sight to replace the battery. Viper you have to remove the sight, and could potentially see a minor impact shift after reinstalling. The buttons are also a bit different. The buttons on the Viper are just slightly larger. Another consideration would be if you want to setup cowitness height sights. The Venom has marks on the rear of the optic that can be used in place of a rear sight.

One thing I see different, mark forum as read is now mark site as read (top right corner of the page). I didn't catch the wording change and marked everything as read... Not a big deal, can still mark each section as read by clicking the chat icons to the left of the forum section heading. ETA - above is referring to the mobile version. Desktop has both mark forum and mark site as read options.

@monkeylizard I agree, the HD ad was already yanked this week. I'm not waking up early for anything, but one of those Rigid drills will be mine if the online sale is decent.

I don't really have anything on my list, but I'll keep an eye out in case a good deal shows up. I am buying an Inline Fabrication quick change mount and some other stuff from him. They run a 15% off coupon every year it seems. The only other Black Friday sales I am interested in is what Home Depot will list. I am looking for a new drill, and plan on a Rigid with their lifetime service agreement that includes batteries. My 7 year old Hitachi 18v drill has been great, but one battery won't hold a charge and the second is short lived. I can get a new drill for roughly the cost of a new Hitachi battery.

Very accurate powder, especially as you get towards the upper end of maximum book loads.

MGW is the way to go, I bought one recently myself after years of making do without. Get the 309S model for tall, straight side sights. It works on both straight and slant sided sights and can accommodate suppressor height as well. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/111366/maryland-gun-works-rear-sight-tool-glock-for-straight-sided-sights

You get what you pay for usually with optics. All comes down to what you are expecting and ranges you will shoot for. Personally, Vortex is as low end as I will ever purchase. I like bright, clear glass.

I ordered the Walker's Razor Slim and used them at the range today. They are being returned to Amazon tomorrow. Absolute garbage - no sound dampening at all. The mics work great, pick up a lot more than my Peltors do. But there is no dampening for any gun shots, whether I was the shooter or standing a couple of feet from someone else. My Peltor's dampen everything. -
I have no need for a spotlight right now, but for $30 why not. Ordered.

I planned on buying a couple extra primer tubes. For now, just going to leave setup for 9mm. I will get a conversion kit but don't need it right away, unless i come across another deal. I think the 2nd powder measure will make sense to buy - avoid any hassle with changing calibers. Or I find a load that works with both calibers.
-
I just found a complete in box SDB 9mm setup for a really good price on another forum. Early Christmas present for me I guess.... I only load 9mm and .45ACP in handgun calibers, so may end up getting a caliber conversion kit for the .45 in the near future. I also have to figure out where/how to mount this press - may be time to get an Inline Fab quick detach mount. I know Dillon has their No BS warranty so if anything breaks I am good. But what do I need to know about the SDB, anything worth buying to keep on hand (extra primer tubes and maybe the small parts kit I assume)? How easy is the powder measure to dial in - should I get the quick change setup that includes an extra powder measure when I get the caliber conversion? I will probably throw up a WTB ad in the classifieds section soon to see if anyone has a conversion kit or other parts I could use.

I had one of the Howard Leight Impact - they worked fairly well but did not fit me well so they ended up sold. I bought a Peltor Tac 100 at Home Depot for about $45 one year and they have been great. They run about $65 now but I am tempted to buy a second pair. I need a second pair right now - my other earmuffs are passive protection only. I want an electronic pair to keep in both of my range bags though. I am eyeing the Walkers Razor Slim - anyone here use a set and have opinions how they stack up with the Peltor? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AAH8CRU/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3F4C3YMFNYUUQ&coliid=I327NTC9HC9BM1&psc=1 ETA - I would like to try the Walkers Razor X but not quite willing to pay that much right now since it is a want, not a need. These do not fit over your head and would not interfere with a rifle stock (as even the slim muffs can do). https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GUB2T1K/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=3F4C3YMFNYUUQ&coliid=I4M6EMOOBMMNU
